Emil Riis Jakobsen arrives at Bristol City

00:00Bristol City have signed Emile Rhys Jacobson from Preston North End and he has said that he's excited to be at the Robins.

00:08No, it was great. It seems like an exciting club and I'm just happy to be here.

00:14And you joined Bristol City after five years at Preston. A lot of championship experience. How was your time there?

00:21It was good. Obviously, I played a lot of games, scored a few goals and enjoyed being back in England.

00:30Obviously, I was here before at a youth level as well, but I had to go back home.

00:35So it was a good time, but it was also time to move on.

00:39And you mentioned it there last season, 12 goals, three assists, including one against Bristol City.

00:45How much did you feel you were really informed, particularly towards the tail end of that season?

00:48I think towards the end of the season, I think the club knew I wasn't going to sign.

00:55So I didn't play at the start of the game, but then obviously we got a bit into the relegation battle.

01:02So I was back in the team and helped the team out.

01:06And Bristol Rovers have continued to remain active in this summer's transfer window,

01:12with Joss McCreechan the latest to sign for the gas ahead of the new season.

01:17Yeah, I'm delighted. I think I met the manager two to three weeks ago now.

01:22And as soon as I met him and Ricky, it was something I was really excited about,

01:27something that I wanted to be a part of.

01:29Yeah, so here I am and I can't wait to get started now.

01:31And what convinced you to join the club?

01:32Obviously, the size of the club.

01:34I think getting relegated last year was obviously, no one expected that for such as like for Bristol Rovers, really.

01:44Looking from the outside, everyone knows how big a club it is.

01:47So to be in League Two, no one exactly wants to be here.

01:51But that's our job now as players to get us out of the league.

01:55So the main reason I joined was obviously the first initial conversation with Daryl and Ricky.

02:01It was just something that I did want to be a part of.

02:04You mentioned Daryl and Ricky there. What were those conversations like?

02:08Yeah, really good. They went really well, really positive.

02:12So, yeah, like I said, I'm just excited now.
