00:00Cleveland has the second hardest schedule entering 2025.
00:03And the Browns, the RS, with that win total of five and a half,
00:08technically have the worst win total on the FanDuel Sportsbook as we speak.
00:13Five teams have a win total with a figure of five and a half.
00:17Three teams have juice on the under.
00:19Giants, Saints, and Browns in that order,
00:22because Cleveland's juice to the under is minus 145.
00:27The Browns are thought of thus as the worst team in the National Football League
00:32entering 2025 with a very confusing and confounding quarterback room.
00:38Donnie, what is the ceiling for Cleveland this season?
00:43Here's the problem with it, right?
00:44And this is where I might get to myself in a little bit of problem
00:46when we get to the Giants.
00:47It's like, okay, can I get 17 games started out of Russell Wilson,
00:51regardless of what the record is?
00:53They'll go over the win total,
00:54because that means you're getting a decent quarterback play,
00:56and the goal is to win football games.
00:58But here's where you're running the problems.
00:59We'll get to the Giants later.
01:00Let me just start with the Cleveland Browns.
01:02You see the numbers,
01:03because if you go to the FanDuel Sportsbook right now,
01:05you can bet to see who the starting quarterback is going to be week number one.
01:08The favorite in line is Joe Flacco.
01:09That could never be the case.
01:11But understand this.
01:12When you're a general manager, like the Haslam family, right?
01:14What are they looking at?
01:15Don't you embarrass me?
01:16We need wins, and that's on you guys.
01:18So the general manager goes like,
01:19hey, let me sell you on this rookie quarterback
01:21who we go three, two, three wins this year,
01:23and we all get fired, but we find about the rookie quarterback.
01:26Coaches don't want to do that.
01:28General managers don't want to do that.
01:29And let's say, hey, no contract, five years, build it right now.
01:32Okay, we'll do it.
01:32Stephans is a good coach.
01:34But the fact that Joe Flacco, when you have Kenny Pickett,
01:36who's not a great quarterback by any stretch,
01:38but he is younger, with a chance to be your starting quarterback.
01:41Same thing with the two rookies they drafted here.
01:43They might not be ready on day number one, but here's the issue.
01:45If Flacco is your quarterback day number one,
01:47your future is nothing.
01:49And let's just say Joe Flacco on a bad football team winds up at one and five
01:52after their first six games.
01:54If you say, you know what,
01:55we're just going to ride out the entire season with Joe Flacco.
01:57Hey, you see that five and a half number?
01:59There is a legitimate chance we hang around that.
02:01But you know what changes in NFL organizations?
02:03When you're out of the playoff picture, what do you start to do?
02:06Well, we really don't want to win football games,
02:08and we want to find out about these young quarterbacks.
02:11We're going to put them in situations that lets you see if they can succeed
02:14or hope they just don't sink to the bottom.
02:16That's where the issue comes in.
02:18This could be, Ben, a four-win team heading into December saying,
02:21white flag is up.
02:23We're not trying to win anymore.
02:24But if they're not and they're in, like, preservation mode,
02:27which I think the Giants are,
02:28that four wins could turn into six wins late if you're playing the appropriate guys.
02:32But I think this season is a complete throwaway
02:34because I do think Shadour Sanders and Dylan Gabriel, Ben,
02:38will get starts this season on the Cleveland Browns.
02:40And that's not good for a five-and-a-half total.
