00:00The Brooklyn Nets trading away Cam Johnson to the Denver Nuggets.
00:04In return, Denver sends Michael Porter Jr. in a 2032 unprotected first-round selection,
00:12making their way back to BK.
00:15Of course, MPJ, a part of the championship-winning team for Denver,
00:18now three NBA years ago in 2023.
00:23But this year, it was clear maybe a change was needed for the Nugs.
00:27They make the big deal.
00:28They acquire Cam Johnson, a guy that averaged nearly 19 points per game,
00:3418.8 to be exact this season inside the Barclays Center.
00:39That a career best.
00:40It also frees up some money, some cash flow, some cap space
00:44for that Nuggets franchise to utilize at altitude.
00:49Denver, a big move last night on the opening night of free agency.
00:53Yeah, I think it's a good move for Denver, too.
00:55As you said, moving around some cap space,
00:56but I do get a viable basketball player.
00:58Now, also understand this.
01:00You have a guy that's putting up, let's just say, 20 points on a team
01:02that's going absolutely nowhere just for hollow 20 points every night.
01:05That doesn't necessarily equate to you're going to plug this guy into a lineup there
01:09that has Aaron Gordon, Nicole Jokic, and also certainly Jamal Murray,
01:12who are going to be the guys scoring the basketballs.
01:14He's going to take away their shots.
01:16He should be fine.
01:16But it's one of those things where I say to myself,
01:18a slight tweak didn't work out last year.
01:20Let's add some new energy to the lineup, and I think this provides it.
01:23Now, what the Brooklyn Nets are doing, I have no idea.
01:25But then again, on a year-to-year basis,
01:26nobody ever knows what the Brooklyn Nets are doing.
01:28They're only like another day away from a complete rebuild once again.
01:32It seems like they stop, start, stop, start, stop, start.
01:34That's what Brooklyn's did since they moved to the Barclays Center.
