Lancashire's police and crime commissioner Clive Grunshaw with an update on the opening of the VAWG community fund
Transcript
00:00Well, Clive Vulture Police and Grand Commissioner for Lancashire. Today we have launched the
00:05Violence Against Women and Girls Community Grants. It's grant funding up to £5,000 for
00:10community organisations across Lancashire to bid for that tackles one of the key priorities
00:19that we have. The violence against women and girls, tackling domestic abuse, tackling some
00:25of the most insidious crimes that we face within society. So we want organisations to bid
00:33for that funding. This is money that is taken from criminals, the proceeds of crime that
00:40we're investing back in the community. But it's about tackling one of the biggest priorities
00:46that we have, the violence against women and girls. So if you know of an organisation that
00:52deals with domestic abuse, that deals with tackling violence against women and girls,
00:57I encourage them to look on our website, to look on our Facebook page and put in an application.
