Transcript
00:00Oh, well, I'm part of the Christian Motorcycle Group, and we were meeting in Lille, right,
00:07this year. We just go down and meet other people in a chateau just outside Lille.
00:13And I took my older grandson last year, but he was on GCSEs this year, so I took his younger
00:20brother, because he said, well, my brother can't go, can I? So for a week or two, well, no, a couple
00:28of months beforehand, he came on the back of my bike, and just to get the hangar riding
00:33on the back of a motorcycle, you see, and we got him all the gear, the helmets and the
00:38jackets and the armour, so he had all the stuff. And so we set off to go to Lille and meet up
00:44with the rest of the gang.
00:46And what did you do whilst you were over there?
00:48Well, getting there was fun, because we went on the train, on the shuttle, as it's known,
00:55and we set off from here on the Thursday. A group of us met out on the A1, and then we
01:03rode down to Stamford, where we, you know, what a lovely place Stamford is, and we had
01:09a coffee and a cake there, and then we rode on to just outside Oxford, Cambridge, just
01:18outside Cambridge, stayed there overnight, got up early, and drove down to the shuttle port
01:23in Kent, you see. Anyway, so when we got there, we got off in France, and it was a lovely
01:28day, and we rode for about an hour, stopped for coffee and lunch, and then we rode on to
01:34the chateau, which is in a little village called Thurmerie, which is outside Lille.
