00:09that will be with you in the room next year

00:12I've mentioned him already briefly

00:13Derek Gentile

00:14How pleased are you that he's going to be

00:18playing alongside you next season?

00:20I think we're both really excited

00:22and looking forward to the opportunity

00:25to playing with each other

00:27I think it's been a long time coming

00:29and obviously we grew up together

00:32best friends since we were four or five years old

00:34so kind of going through the hockey side of things

00:38always together for sure

00:40but it's not always the easiest

00:42when you're playing against each other

00:44and competing against each other during the season

00:46so it's going to be nice to have him

00:48on the same team again

00:49Yeah, I think we're both

00:51like I said, super excited

00:53to be able to do that again

00:55and hopefully bring some chemistry that we have

00:57for the same team this time

00:59What kind of player can Steelers fans expect

01:02from Derek next season?

01:05You know, Derek's like a high energy player

01:07you know, he skates really well

01:08and has a nice shot at him as well

01:10but I think Derek's biggest strength

01:13is just how he sees the ice

01:14you know, he's able to slow things down

01:17when the puck is on a stick

01:18and he's able to make the right plays

01:20and when they're most important

01:22I think, you know, he's going to be

01:23a great addition to our offense

01:25and I think it's, you know, maybe something

01:27that we missed last year

01:28especially with how well he does

01:30on the power play

01:31Like I said, he's just able to slow the game

01:34when the puck is on a stick

01:35and hopefully I'm just able to get open

01:38and I'm sure he finds me

01:40when I can get open

01:41so it's, yeah, he's a great offensive player

01:43you know, can put the puck

01:44in the back of the net

01:45but also sees the ice extremely well

01:47and he's a competitor

01:48he likes to win

01:51so it's going to be a nice addition

01:52to the dressing room
