00:00When I was 365 years old, on the solemn day of the first month, I was alone in my house, grieving and weeping with my eyes.
00:10While I was resting in my bed sleeping, two men as great as any I had ever seen on earth appeared to me.
00:16Their faces were like sunshine, their eyes like burning lamps.
00:21From their mouths came forth fire, their clothes a plumage of feathers and their arms like golden wings at my bedside.
00:28They called me by my name, Enoch, Enoch.
00:32They said, I arose from my sleep, and these men said to me, Be of good cheer, Enoch, be not afraid.
00:38The everlasting God hath sent us to thee, and today shalt ascend with us into heaven.
00:44It came to pass when I had spoken to my sons, these men summoned me and took me on their wings and placed me on the clouds.
00:52The clouds moved, and again higher I saw the air, and, going still, higher I saw the ether, and they placed me in the first heaven.
01:01While Enoch was walking with the one, Elohim, then he was not found, for Elohim took him away.
01:17And in the heavens, accompanied by the Elohim, they told Enoch about the secrets of life and death, and the moment when the angels fell.
01:26As the children of men multiplied on the earth, their daughters were born with striking beauty and grace.
01:36The angels, known as the children of heaven, looked upon these daughters with desire.
01:42Come, they said to one another, let us choose wives from among the children of men, and beget children.
01:48Their leader, Semjaza, voiced his concern.
01:53I fear you will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.
02:00But the angels, resolute in their decision, answered him,
02:04Let us all swear an oath and bind ourselves by mutual imprecations, not to abandon this plan, but to do this thing.
02:12In total, there were two hundred angels who descended in the days of Jared, alighting upon the summit of Mount Hermon.
02:27They called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.
02:33Among these fallen angels, the leaders included Samlazaz, Araclba, Ramil, Kokablel, Tamlel, Remlel, Danil, Ezekiel, Barakijal, Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zakhlel, Samsapil, Satarel, Turel, Jomjail, and Sariel.
02:52Each commanding a division of ten.
02:55These fallen angels took wives for themselves, each choosing one, and began to defile themselves with them.
03:01They taught their human wives charms, enchantments, and the cutting of roots, introducing them to the secrets of plants.
03:10The women became pregnant and bore giants, whose height reached three thousand L's.
03:19These giants consumed all the resources of men, and when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against humanity and devoured them.
03:29The giants and fallen angels began to sin against birds, beasts, reptiles, and fish, even turning to devour one another's flesh and drink their blood.
03:41The earth, overwhelmed by the lawlessness, laid accusation against these transgressors.
03:47Azazel, one of the fallen angels, taught men to make swords, knives, shields, and breastplates.
03:54He revealed the secrets of the metals of the earth and the art of working them.
03:59He taught the crafting of bracelets, ornaments, the use of antimony, and the beautifying of eyelids, as well as all kinds of costly stones and coloring tinctures.
04:10As a result, godlessness increased, and they committed fornication, leading them astray and corrupting their ways.
04:20Semjaza instructed them in enchantments and root cuttings, while Armaros taught the resolving of enchantments.
04:26Barakihal shared the knowledge of astrology, Kokabel explained the constellations,
04:33Ezekiel revealed the secrets of the clouds, Arachiel the signs of the earth,
04:39Shamsil the signs of the sun, and Sariel, the course of the moon.
04:44As men perished, their cries rose up to the heavens,
04:48pleading for relief from the corruption and violence brought by the fallen angels.
04:53Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven
05:02and saw the bloodshed and lawlessness ravaging the earth.
05:08Their hearts grew heavy with sorrow and anger.
05:11They spoke to one another,
05:13The earth, once a place of peace, now cries out with the voices of the afflicted,
05:18their cries reaching the gates of heaven.
05:20The holy ones of heaven were moved by the pleas of the souls of men,
05:26who implored,
05:27Bring our cause before the Most High.
05:30The archangels addressed the Lord of the ages,
05:33Lord of lords, God of gods, King of kings, and God of the ages.
05:38Your throne of glory stands for all generations.
05:41Your name is holy, glorious, and blessed unto all ages.
05:46You have created all things and hold power over all.
05:49Nothing is hidden from your sight.
05:52You see all things.
05:54You see what Azazel has done,
05:56teaching unrighteousness on earth,
05:58and revealing the eternal secrets that were meant for heaven.
06:02Sam Lazaz, who was given authority to lead,
06:05has led his associates astray.
06:07They have gone to the daughters of men,
06:10slept with them, and defiled themselves.
06:13They have revealed all kinds of sins to them.
06:15The women have born giants,
06:18and the earth is now filled with blood and unrighteousness.
06:22The souls of the dead cry out,
06:25making their pleas at the gates of heaven.
06:27Their lamentations ascend and do not cease
06:30because of the lawless deeds wrought on the earth.
06:33You, who know all things before they come to pass,
06:37have seen these events and allowed them.
06:39Yet you have not told us what we are to do to them.
06:42Then the Most High, the Holy, and Great One spoke.
06:47He sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, saying,
06:50Go to Noah and tell him in my name,
06:53Hide thyself.
06:54Reveal to him that the end is approaching,
06:57that the whole earth will be destroyed by a deluge.
07:00Instruct him so that he may escape,
07:02and his seed may be preserved for all generations.
07:05The Lord then commanded Raphael,
07:09Bind Azazel hand and foot,
07:11and cast him into the darkness.
07:13Make an opening in the desert,
07:15which is in Dudael,
07:16and cast him there.
07:18Place rough and jagged rocks over him.
07:21Cover him with darkness,
07:22and let him abide there forever.
07:24Cover his face,
07:25so that he may not see light.
07:28On the day of great judgment,
07:30he shall be cast into the fire.
07:32Heal the earth that the angels have corrupted.
07:34Proclaim the healing of the earth,
07:37so that all the children of men may not perish,
07:40because of the secret things the watchers have disclosed
07:43and taught their sons.
07:45The whole earth has been corrupted
07:47by the works taught by Azazel.
07:50To him ascribe all sin.
07:55To Gabriel the Lord said,
07:57Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates,
08:00and against the children of fornication.
08:02Destroy the children of the watchers from among men.
08:06Send them to fight each other in battle,
08:09so that they may destroy one another.
08:11They will not live long lives,
08:13and no request they make
08:14will be granted to their fathers on their behalf,
08:17for they hope to live an eternal life,
08:20and that each one of them will live five hundred years.
08:23The Lord then spoke to Michael,
08:27Go, bind Samlazaz and his associates
08:30who have defiled themselves with women.
08:33When their sons have slain one another,
08:35and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones,
08:38bind them fast for seventy generations
08:41in the valleys of the earth,
08:43until the day of their judgment.
08:44They shall be led off to the abyss of fire,
08:49to the torment and prison
08:51where they shall be confined forever.
08:53Whoever is condemned and destroyed
08:56will be bound with them
08:57to the end of all generations.
09:00Destroy all the spirits of the reprobate
09:03and the children of the watchers,
09:05because they have wronged mankind.
09:09Destroy all evil from the face of the earth,
09:12and let every wicked work come to an end.
09:15Let the plant of righteousness and truth appear,
09:18and it shall be a blessing.
09:20The works of righteousness and truth
09:22shall be planted in joy forevermore.
09:25Then all the righteous shall escape
09:27and live until they beget thousands of children.
09:31They will complete their days in peace,
09:33living long lives filled with joy.
09:36The whole earth shall be tilled in righteousness
09:39and be filled with blessing.
09:42All desirable trees shall be planted,
09:44vines will yield abundant wine,
09:47and the seed sown will bear a thousandfold.
09:50Each measure of olives
09:51shall yield ten presses of oil.
09:54Cleanse the earth from all oppression,
09:57unrighteousness, sin, and godlessness.
10:00Destroy all uncleanness from the earth.
10:03All the children of men shall become righteous,
10:08and all nations shall offer adoration and praise.
10:12The earth shall be cleansed from all defilement,
10:15sin, punishment, and torment.
10:17I will never again send upon it such afflictions
10:20from generation to generation and forevermore.
10:24In those days I will open the storehouses of blessing in heaven,
10:28pouring them down upon the earth.
10:30Truth and peace shall flourish throughout all the days of the world
10:35and through all generations.
10:37Before these things Enoch was hidden,
10:40and none of the children of men knew where he was
10:42or what had become of him.
10:44His activities involved the watchers,
10:47and he spent his days with the holy ones.
10:49Enoch, blessing the Lord of majesty and the king of the ages,
10:55was called by the watchers.
10:57Enoch, scribe of righteousness, they said,
11:00Go, declare to the watchers of heaven
11:02who have left the high heaven,
11:04the holy eternal place,
11:06and have defiled themselves with women.
11:09Tell them,
11:10You have wrought great destruction on the earth,
11:12and you shall have no peace nor forgiveness of sin.
11:16As you delight in your children,
11:18you will witness their murder and destruction.
11:21You shall lament over their deaths
11:23and make supplications for eternity,
11:26but mercy and peace you shall not attain.
11:30Enoch went to Azazel and declared,
11:33Azazel, you shall have no peace.
11:35A severe sentence has been pronounced against you.
11:38You will be bound and receive no tolerance or request for forgiveness
11:42because of the unrighteousness you have taught
11:45and the godless deeds you have shown to men.
11:48Enoch then spoke to all the watchers.
11:51Fear and trembling seized them,
11:53and they begged him to draw up a petition for their forgiveness
11:56and to present it to the Lord of heaven.
11:59They could no longer speak with him
12:01or lift their eyes to heaven,
12:03ashamed of their sins and the condemnation they faced.
12:07Enoch wrote their petition and prayer
12:10regarding their spirits and deeds,
12:13seeking forgiveness and length of days.
12:16He went to the waters of Dan in the land of Dan,
12:20south of the west of Hermon,
12:22where he read their petition until he fell asleep.
12:25In his sleep a dream came to him,
12:28visions of chastisement fell upon him,
12:31and a voice commanded him to tell it to the sons of heaven
12:34and reprimand them.
12:36When Enoch awoke,
12:38he found the watchers gathered together,
12:40weeping in Abel's jail between Lebanon and Seneser,
12:44their faces covered.
12:46He recounted all the visions he had seen in his sleep
12:49and began to speak words of righteousness,
12:52reprimanding the heavenly watchers.
12:54The book of the words of righteousness,
13:02a record of the reprimand to the eternal watchers,
13:05was given according to the command of the Holy Great One
13:08in a vision that Enoch saw in his sleep.
13:12Enoch, with the breath of his mouth and the tongue of flesh,
13:16spoke the words bestowed upon him by the Great One,
13:19given to men to converse and understand with the heart.
13:24As he has created and given to man
13:26the power of understanding the word of wisdom,
13:29so has he created me and given me the power
13:32to reprimand the watchers, the children of heaven,
13:35Enoch began.
13:37I wrote out your petition,
13:38and in my vision it appeared that your plea
13:41will not be granted unto you
13:42throughout all the days of eternity.
13:45Judgment has been passed upon you,
13:47and your petition will not be granted.
13:49Henceforth you shall not ascend into heaven for all eternity.
13:53in the bonds of the earth,
13:55the decree has gone forth to bind you
13:58for all the days of the world.
14:00You shall witness the destruction of your beloved sons,
14:03and you shall find no pleasure in them.
14:06They shall fall before you by the sword.
14:09Your petition on their behalf shall not be granted,
14:13nor will your own,
14:14even though you weep and pray and speak
14:17all the words contained in the writing I have written.
14:20In my vision, clouds invited me,
14:23and a mist summoned me.
14:25The course of the stars and the lightnings hastened me,
14:29and the winds in the vision caused me to fly,
14:32lifting me upward and bearing me into heaven.
14:35I approached a wall built of crystals,
14:37surrounded by tongues of fire,
14:39and it began to affright me.
14:41I entered the tongues of fire,
14:43and drew near to a large house built of crystals,
14:46with walls like a tessellated floor made of crystals,
14:49and its foundation of crystal.
14:52Its ceiling was like the path of the stars and lightnings,
14:56and between them were fiery cherubim,
14:58and their heaven was water.
15:01A flaming fire surrounded the walls,
15:03and its portals blazed with fire.
15:05As I entered,
15:07the house was hot as fire and cold as ice.
15:11There were no delights of life within.
15:13Fear covered me,
15:14and trembling seized me.
15:16As I quaked and trembled,
15:18I fell upon my face.
15:20I beheld a vision of a second house,
15:22greater than the former,
15:23with an open portal before me,
15:25built of flames of fire.
15:28In every respect,
15:29it excelled in splendor and magnificence.
15:32Its floor was of fire,
15:33and above it were lightnings
15:35and the path of the stars,
15:37and its ceiling was flaming fire.
15:39I saw therein a lofty throne,
15:42its appearance like crystal,
15:43with wheels as the shining sun.
15:46And there was the vision of cherubim.
15:49From underneath the throne
15:51came streams of flaming fire,
15:53so intense that I could not look upon it.
15:56The great glory sat upon the throne,
15:59his raiment shining more brightly than the sun,
16:02whiter than any snow.
16:03None of the angels could enter
16:05to behold his face
16:06due to the magnificence and glory.
16:09No flesh could endure his presence.
16:12The flaming fire encircled him,
16:14and a great fire stood before him.
16:17Ten thousand times ten thousand were before him,
16:20yet he needed no counselor.
16:22The most holy ones who were near him
16:24did not leave by night,
16:25nor depart from him.
16:27As I lay prostrate,
16:28trembling,
16:29the Lord called me with his own mouth,
16:31come here Enoch,
16:33and hear my word.
16:35One of the holy ones came to me,
16:37waking me,
16:38and made me rise up and approach the door.
16:40I bowed my face downward and heard his voice.
16:52Fear not, Enoch,
16:53righteous man and scribe of righteousness.
16:56Approach and hear my voice.
16:59Go and say to the watchers of heaven
17:01who have sent you to intercede for them,
17:03You should intercede for men,
17:06not men for you.
17:08Why have you left the high,
17:10holy, and eternal heaven,
17:11lain with women,
17:13defiled yourselves with the daughters of men,
17:16taken wives and begotten giants as your sons?
17:21Though you were holy,
17:22spiritual beings living the eternal life,
17:25you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women,
17:28and begotten with the blood of flesh.
17:30As children of men,
17:32you have lusted after flesh and blood
17:34like those who die and perish.
17:36Therefore,
17:37I have given them wives to impregnate
17:39and beget children by,
17:41so that nothing might be lacking for them on earth.
17:44But you were formerly spiritual,
17:46living the eternal life,
17:48and immortal for all generations of the world.
17:51Therefore I have not appointed wives for you,
17:54for the spiritual ones of heaven,
17:56heaven is their dwelling.
17:57Now the giants,
18:00who are produced from the spirits and flesh,
18:03shall be called evil spirits upon the earth,
18:05and on the earth shall be their dwelling.
18:08Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies,
18:11because they are born from men and from the watchers,
18:14they shall be evil spirits on earth.
18:17The spirits of the giants afflict,
18:20oppress, destroy, attack,
18:23do battle,
18:24and work destruction on the earth,
18:26causing trouble.
18:27They take no food,
18:29but nevertheless hunger and thirst,
18:32causing offenses.
18:33These spirits shall rise up
18:35against the children of men
18:37and against the women,
18:38because they have proceeded from them.
18:41From the days of the slaughter,
18:43destruction,
18:44and death of the giants,
18:46their spirits shall destroy
18:47without incurring judgment
18:49until the day of consummation.
18:51The great judgment when the age shall be consummated,
18:55over the watchers and the godless,
18:57yes,
18:58shall be wholly consummated.
19:00As for the watchers who have sent you to intercede for them,
19:04who were once in heaven,
19:05tell them,
19:06you have been in heaven,
19:07but not all the mysteries were revealed to you.
19:11You knew worthless ones,
19:13and in the hardness of your hearts,
19:15you have made them known to the women,
19:17causing much evil on earth.
19:20Therefore,
19:21you shall have no peace.
19:22Enoch recounted the incredible journey
19:26the angels had taken him on,
19:28transporting him to a realm
19:29where those present resembled flaming fire,
19:32yet could appear as men at will.
19:35The angels led him to a place of profound darkness,
19:39to a mountain whose summit touched the heavens.
19:42In this mystical place,
19:44Enoch saw the locations of the luminaries,
19:47the treasuries of stars and thunder,
19:49and in the deepest depths,
19:51a fiery bow and arrows,
19:53a quiver,
19:54a fiery sword,
19:56and all the lightnings.
19:58They brought him to the living waters
20:00and the fire of the west,
20:02which receives the setting sun each day.
20:05He came upon a river of fire,
20:07its flames flowing like water,
20:09discharging into the great sea towards the west.
20:13Enoch saw the great rivers
20:15and ventured to the vast darkness,
20:17a place where no flesh walks.
20:20He saw the mountains shrouded in winter's darkness
20:23and the source from which all the deep waters flow.
20:27Enoch witnessed the mouths of all the rivers on earth
20:31and the mouth of the deep.
20:33He saw the treasuries of all the winds
20:35and how the Creator had furnished the whole creation with them,
20:39grounding the firm foundations of the earth.
20:42He observed the cornerstone of the earth
20:45and the four winds that support the firmament of heaven.
20:48He saw how these winds stretched out the vaults of heaven,
20:52their stations between heaven and earth,
20:55acting as the pillars of heaven.
20:56Enoch watched the winds of heaven turn,
21:00bringing the sun and stars to their settings.
21:03He saw the winds on earth carrying the clouds
21:06and the paths the angels tread.
21:09At the end of the earth,
21:10Enoch saw the firmament of heaven above.
21:13He proceeded to a place burning day and night
21:16where seven mountains of magnificent stones stood.
21:20Three were towards the east
21:22and three towards the south.
21:23Of those towards the east,
21:26one was of colored stone,
21:28one of pearl,
21:29and one of jacinth,
21:30while those towards the south were of redstone.
21:34The middle mountain reached to heaven,
21:36resembling the throne of God,
21:38made of alabaster with a sapphire summit.
21:41Beyond these mountains,
21:43Enoch saw a flaming fire
21:44and a region marking the end of the great earth
21:47where the heavens were complete.
21:50He saw a deep abyss
21:51with columns of heavenly fire
21:53where columns of fire fell,
21:56stretching beyond measure in height and depth.
21:59Beyond that abyss was a place
22:01without a firmament of heaven above
22:03or a firmly founded earth beneath.
22:06It was a desolate and horrible wasteland
22:08without water or birds.
22:11In this place,
22:13Enoch saw seven stars like great burning mountains.
22:16Upon inquiring about them,
22:18the angel told him,
22:19this is the end of heaven and earth,
22:21a prison for the stars and the host of heaven.
22:25These stars,
22:26which roll over the fire,
22:28are those that transgressed the commandment of the Lord
22:30at the beginning of their rising
22:32because they did not appear at their appointed times.
22:49In his wrath,
22:54he bound them until their guilt is consummated for 10,000 years.
22:59Uriel further explained,
23:01Here shall stand the fallen angels
23:03who have connected themselves with women,
23:05their spirits assuming many forms to defile mankind,
23:10leading them astray into sacrificing to demons as gods.
23:14Here they shall remain until the day of the great judgment,
23:17where they shall be judged until they meet their end.
23:21The women of the angels who went astray
23:23shall become sirens.
23:26Enoch alone saw this vision,
23:29witnessing the ends of all things,
23:31a sight no other man has seen.
23:38Enoch continued his journey with the holy angels
23:41who revealed the mysteries of the universe to him.
23:44He was introduced to the celestial guardians
23:47who watch over mankind.
23:49Enoch continued his journey with the holy angels
23:52who revealed the mysteries of the universe to him.
23:55He was introduced to the celestial guardians
23:58who watch over mankind.
24:01These are the names of the holy angels,
24:04Enoch began.
24:06Uriel,
24:06who presides over the world and Tartarus.
24:09Raphael,
24:10who oversees the spirits of men.
24:12Raquel,
24:13who exacts vengeance on the world of the luminaries.
24:17Michael,
24:18who is set over the best part of mankind
24:20and over chaos.
24:22Serakael,
24:23who is set over the spirits who sin in the spirit.
24:26Gabriel,
24:27who guards paradise,
24:28the serpents and the cherubim.
24:31And Remiel,
24:32who is appointed over those who rise.
24:34Enoch was then taken to a place of chaos,
24:41devoid of a heaven above or a firmly founded earth below.
24:45It was a realm of disorder and horror.
24:48There he saw seven stars of heaven bound together,
24:51burning like great mountains.
24:54Enoch asked,
24:55For what sin are they bound,
24:57and why have they been cast here?
24:59Uriel,
25:01one of the holy angels,
25:03who was chief among them,
25:04responded,
25:06Enoch,
25:06why do you seek the truth with such eagerness?
25:09These are the stars of heaven
25:10that transgressed the commandment of the Lord.
25:13They are bound here until ten thousand years.
25:16The time appointed for their sins
25:18is fulfilled.
25:20From there,
25:21Enoch was led to another place
25:22even more terrifying.
25:25He saw a great fire burning and blazing,
25:27the place cleft as far as the abyss,
25:30filled with great descending columns of fire.
25:34Its extent and magnitude were beyond measure.
25:37Enoch exclaimed,
25:38How fearful is this place,
25:41and how terrible to behold!
25:44Uriel reassured him,
25:46This is the prison of the fallen angels,
25:48and here they will be imprisoned forever.
25:52Enoch then proceeded to another place,
25:55a mountain of hard rock.
25:56Within it were four hollow,
25:59deep, wide, and smooth places.
26:01Raphael explained,
26:03These hollow places have been created
26:05for this very purpose,
26:07to gather the spirits of the souls of the dead
26:09until the day of their judgment.
26:12All the souls of the children of men assemble here.
26:16These places receive them
26:18until their appointed period,
26:20the great judgment.
26:21Enoch saw a dead man making suit,
26:24his voice ascending to heaven.
26:27He asked Raphael,
26:29Whose spirit is this,
26:31making suit to heaven?
26:33Raphael answered,
26:35This is the spirit of Abel,
26:37whom his brother Cain slew.
26:39He makes his suit against Cain
26:41until his seed is destroyed from the earth.
26:45Enoch inquired about the separation
26:47of the hollow places.
26:49Raphael explained,
26:51These divisions are for the spirits of the dead,
26:54one for the righteous,
26:56with a bright spring of water,
26:58one for sinners who die without judgment
27:00in their lifetime,
27:01where their spirits are in great pain
27:03until the day of judgment,
27:06and one for those who make their suit,
27:08disclosing their destruction,
27:10when slain in the days of sinners.
27:12Another is for the spirits of those
27:15who were not righteous,
27:17but were sinners and transgressors.
27:20Their spirits shall not be slain
27:22on the day of judgment,
27:24nor shall they be raised from there.
27:27Enoch blessed the Lord of glory,
27:30saying,
27:30Blessed be my Lord,
27:32the Lord of righteousness,
27:34who rules forever.
27:36He then journeyed to the west
27:38of the ends of the earth,
27:39where he saw a burning fire
27:41running without rest,
27:43day and night.
27:45Enoch asked,
27:46What is this fire that never rests?
27:49Regal, one of the holy angels,
27:51explained,
27:52This is the fire in the west
27:54that persecutes all the luminaries of heaven.
27:58Enoch continued to another part of the earth
28:00where he saw a mountain range of fire
28:03burning day and night.
28:05Beyond it,
28:06he saw seven magnificent mountains,
28:08each unique and beautiful,
28:11with glorious stones.
28:13The seventh mountain,
28:14in the midst of them,
28:16was the highest,
28:17resembling the seat of a throne,
28:19encircled by fragrant trees.
28:22Among these trees was one unlike any other,
28:25with a fragrance surpassing all.
28:27Its leaves, blooms, and wood never wither,
28:30and its fruit is beautiful,
28:32resembling the dates of a palm.
28:34Enoch marveled,
28:35How beautiful is this tree,
28:38its fragrance and its delightful appearance.
28:41Michael, one of the honored angels,
28:43responded,
28:44This high mountain,
28:46whose summit is like the throne of God,
28:48is where the Holy Great One,
28:50the Lord of Glory,
28:51the Eternal King,
28:53will sit when He comes down
28:55to visit the earth with goodness.
28:56As for this fragrant tree,
28:59no mortal is permitted to touch it
29:01until the Great Judgment,
29:03when it shall be given to the righteous and holy.
29:06Its fruit will be food for the elect,
29:09and it shall be transplanted to the holy place,
29:12to the temple of the Lord,
29:14the Eternal King.
29:15They shall rejoice with joy and be glad,
29:18and enter into the holy place.
29:21Its fragrance shall be in their bones,
29:23and they shall live long lives on earth,
29:26free from sorrow,
29:27plague,
29:28torment,
29:29or calamity.
29:30Michael continued,
29:32Enoch blessed the God of Glory,
29:35the Eternal King,
29:36who had prepared such things for the righteous
29:38and promised them.
29:40He then went to the middle of the earth,
29:42to a blessed place with blooming trees.
29:45He saw a holy mountain
29:47with a stream flowing towards the south.
29:50Another higher mountain stood to the east,
29:53with a deep narrow ravine between them.
29:56Enoch marveled at the sight.
29:58Uriel explained,
30:00This accursed valley is for those accursed forever.
30:04Here shall all who utter unseemly words
30:06against the Lord and His glory
30:08be gathered for judgment.
30:10The righteous shall bless the Lord of Glory,
30:12the Eternal King,
30:13for the mercy He has shown them.
30:16Enoch continued to bless the Lord of Glory,
30:19proclaiming His greatness.
30:21He then journeyed to a wilderness in the east,
30:24full of aromatic trees
30:26exhaling the fragrance of frankincense and myrrh,
30:29resembling almond trees.
30:32Beyond these he found a valley of water
30:34with fragrant trees like the mastic,
30:36cinnamon on its sides,
30:38and proceeded further east.
30:40Enoch encountered more mountains
30:42with groves of trees
30:43flowing with nectar named Sarara and Galbanum.
30:47Another mountain,
30:49east of the ends of the earth,
30:50bore aloe trees with stacte,
30:53smelling sweeter than any fragrance when burnt.
30:56He saw seven mountains full of choice nard,
31:00cinnamon, and pepper to the north.
31:02Passing over the summits,
31:04Enoch reached the Garden of Righteousness,
31:06with numerous beautiful and glorious trees,
31:09including the Tree of Knowledge.
31:11Its fruit brought great wisdom.
31:13Raphael explained,
31:16This is the Tree of Wisdom,
31:18from which your forebears learned wisdom,
31:20opened their eyes,
31:22knew they were naked,
31:23and were driven out of the garden.
31:26Enoch continued to the ends of the earth,
31:29where great beasts and birds,
31:31differing in appearance and voice,
31:33dwelled.
31:35He saw the portals of heaven,
31:37noting their number,
31:38outlets,
31:39courses,
31:39positions,
31:40times and months,
31:42as shown by Uriel.
31:44Enoch traveled further to the north,
31:46seeing a great and glorious device
31:48at the ends of the earth,
31:50with three open portals of heaven.
31:52Through them,
31:53north winds brought cold,
31:55hail,
31:56frost,
31:57snow,
31:57dew,
31:58and rain.
31:59He observed similar portals
32:01in the west and south,
32:03each with their purpose.
32:05Returning to the east,
32:06he saw three eastern portals of heaven,
32:08with small portals above them,
32:10through which the stars pass on their course.
32:14Enoch blessed the Lord of glory
32:15for the great and glorious wonders shown to him,
32:19praising his work and creation forever.
32:25Enoch spoke his words of blessing
32:27to the elect and righteous,
32:29those destined to live through the days of tribulation,
32:33when the wicked and godless will be removed.
32:35I saw a vision of the Holy One in the heavens,
32:40revealed to me by the angels.
32:42From them,
32:43I heard everything and gained understanding,
32:46not for this generation,
32:48but for a future one yet to come.
32:52Enoch spoke his words of blessing
32:53to the elect and righteous,
32:55those destined to live through the days of tribulation,
32:58when the wicked and godless will be removed.
33:01Enoch was a righteous man,
33:04whose eyes were opened by God.
33:08Concerning the elect,
33:09Enoch continued his parable.
33:12The Holy Great One will come forth from his dwelling.
33:15The eternal God will tread upon the earth,
33:18even on Mount Sinai,
33:19and will appear in the strength of his might
33:22from the heaven of heavens.
33:24All shall be struck with fear,
33:26and the watchers shall quake.
33:28Great fear and trembling will seize them
33:31unto the ends of the earth.
33:33The high mountains shall be shaken,
33:36and the high hills shall be made low.
33:38They shall melt like wax before the flame.
33:41The earth shall be wholly rent asunder,
33:44and all that is upon the earth shall perish.
33:47There shall be judgment upon all,
33:49but with the righteous he will make peace.
33:52He will protect the elect,
33:54and mercy shall be upon them.
33:56They shall all belong to God,
33:59be prosperous,
34:00and be blessed.
34:01He will help them all,
34:03and light shall appear unto them.
34:05He will make peace with them.
34:07And behold,
34:08he comes with ten thousand of his holy ones
34:11to execute judgment upon all,
34:14to destroy all the ungodly,
34:16and to convict all flesh
34:17of all the works of their ungodliness,
34:20which they have ungodly committed,
34:22and of all the harsh things
34:23which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
34:27Enoch spoke with authority,
34:29urging his listeners to observe
34:31the wonders of the heavens and the earth,
34:34and to understand the immutable order set by God.
34:37Look to the heavens,
34:39he said,
34:40and observe how the celestial bodies
34:42do not change their orbits.
34:44The luminaries rise and set in their appointed times,
34:48never straying from their paths.
34:50Behold the steadfastness of the earth,
34:53how from the beginning to the end
34:54all things remain unchanged,
34:57demonstrating the works of God.
34:59See how the earth is filled with water,
35:02how the clouds, dew, and rain
35:04nourish it through summer and winter.
35:06In winter,
35:08observe how all trees appear to wither
35:10and shed their leaves,
35:12except for fourteen trees
35:14that retain their foliage
35:15for two to three years
35:17until new leaves come.
35:19Again, in the days of summer,
35:21see how the sun stands high above the earth,
35:24making you seek shade and shelter from its heat,
35:27causing the earth and rocks
35:29to burn with growing warmth.
35:31Notice how the trees cover themselves
35:35with green leaves and bear fruit.
35:39Pay attention and understand all his works,
35:42and recognize that he who lives forever
35:44has made them so.
35:46All his works continue from year to year,
35:49and the tasks they perform for him
35:51do not change,
35:52but proceed as God has ordained.
35:55Behold how the seas and rivers
35:57also follow his commands,
35:59never deviating from their tasks.
36:02Yet you have not remained steadfast,
36:04nor have you kept the commandments of the Lord.
36:07Instead, you have turned away,
36:09speaking proud and harsh words
36:11against his greatness with impure mouths.
36:15O hard-hearted ones,
36:17you shall find no peace.
36:20Therefore, you shall curse your days,
36:22and the years of your life shall perish.
36:25The years of your destruction
36:26shall multiply in eternal abomination,
36:29and you shall find no mercy.
36:31In those days,
36:32your names shall become an eternal curse
36:35among all the righteous,
36:36and all who curse will curse by you.
36:40All sinners and godless
36:41shall use your name to imprecate,
36:43and for the godless there shall be a curse.
36:47But the righteous shall rejoice,
36:49for there shall be forgiveness of sins,
36:51and every mercy, peace, and forbearance.
36:56Salvation shall come to them,
36:58a goodly light.
36:59For all sinners there shall be no salvation,
37:03but upon them shall abide the curse of the beast.
37:06For the elect there shall be light,
37:09joy, and peace,
37:10and they shall inherit the earth.
37:14Wisdom shall be bestowed upon the elect,
37:16and they shall live without sin,
37:19whether through ungodliness or pride.
37:21The wise shall be humble,
37:24and they shall not transgress nor sin
37:26all the days of their life.
37:28They shall not die of anger or wrath,
37:31but shall complete the number of their days in peace.
37:35Their lives shall be increased in peace,
37:38and the years of their joy
37:40shall multiply in eternal gladness and peace
37:43all the days of their life.
