Russian jet receives full set of domestically produced interiors as part of import substitution project

The preliminary installation of interiors manufactured in Russia has been successfully completed on an experimental MC-21 aircraft at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The jet was equipped with overhead luggage bins, window and ceiling panels, galley and lavatory modules, wardrobes, partitions, curtains, door trims and finishes, as well as business class seats.

The components were produced by the company “Aviazhnie Interery” (Aviation Interiors) as part of a broad import substitution program aimed at strengthening the national aviation industry with fully Russian-made solutions.
