00:00I tried to save a rat.
00:01Did you really?
00:02Yeah, I did.
00:03I took it inside.
00:04It was a baby.
00:05She did bite me, though, and I was like,
00:07do I have to go to the hospital?
00:11And then I was like, I'm going to wing it.
00:13What is really surprising to me and drives me crazy
00:16is that we, as a community,
00:19I think we are really disillusioned and upset and hurt,
00:23as we should be, and so we're infighting.
00:26Well, so you do, like, 30 takes, you know,
00:28and it's like, you know, and some of them,
00:30they're just like, no, you know,
00:32which I kind of, I respect that.
00:34I'm like, that's cool.
00:35Like, I, but more art all the time.
00:43Hi, everyone.
00:44I am Billboard Stephen Dahl,
00:46and I am joined today by the icon,
00:48the legend herself, King Princess.
00:51Hi, babe, how are you?
00:52Hi.
00:53And we are here today at Julius's
00:55in the West Village, the oldest gay bar in New York City.
00:58How's life?
00:58How's things?
01:00It's been pretty good.
01:00We're at the beginning of summer.
01:02Hell yeah.
01:02Kind of feels like the beginning.
01:04We went to the, we went to a quarry the other day.
01:07A quarry?
01:08Yeah, we swam.
01:09Ooh, okay.
01:10So we're just diving off cliffs at this point.
01:12I think it's nice because it's like,
01:13we got out of the city on the first day
01:15that it was super, super hot,
01:17and we just smoked bunts by the natural water source.
01:21Love that for you.
01:21Which was great,
01:22and it really got me in the mood
01:24to now traverse the slutty, slutty gay summer.
01:28Naturally.
01:28I love that.
01:29It got me ready.
01:30I have to tell you,
01:30the start of my slutty gay summer
01:32was at your market hotel show.
01:35Oh, wow.
01:36Wow.
01:36That was one of the hottest events,
01:39both literally and figuratively,
01:41that I've been to in a minute.
01:42Did you believe the temperature?
01:44It was truly wild.
01:45I always think of my fans
01:47is producing a lot of body heat
01:49in general, too.
01:50And you're correct to think that.
01:51The lesbians,
01:52it's what is Melissa McCarthy in Bridesmaid?
01:54She's like,
01:55feel that steam heat
01:56coming from my undercarriage.
01:58I'm like,
01:58that is literally my show's.
02:00The steam heat from the undercarriage.
02:02We loved it.
02:03Yeah, it was a great show.
02:04That was a great show.
02:05So you just announced Girl Violence.
02:07Yeah.
02:08How are you feeling about the album?
02:09I feel amazing about this album.
02:11I really do.
02:12I mean, RIP KP is immediately,
02:14as soon as it came out,
02:15I was like,
02:16oh, thank God
02:17we have a gay anthem
02:18for Pride Month.
02:19Thank God.
02:20I hope to deliver.
02:27I believe you literally described it.
02:29I have it here as a, quote,
02:32slutty anthem for lesbians.
02:33Yes.
02:34And that we need debauchery this summer.
02:36Care to explain?
02:37Well, I think that it's easy for us
02:39to fall into the trap
02:40of our addiction to sadness.
02:43Girl.
02:44Lesbians specifically.
02:45We love to be tragic.
02:47For sure.
02:48And I agree.
02:49You know,
02:49I am also a tragic lesbian,
02:51but I do think that we should be
02:53sucking and fucking.
02:54I love that.
02:55This summer.
02:55Absolutely.
02:56And I think that it was important
02:57that I could, you know,
02:59I could bring that to the people.
03:00And I think that's the right song
03:02to do it.
03:02100%.
03:03Guys, you heard it here first.
03:04Everyone needs to be sucking
03:05and fucking this summer.
03:07Oh, my God.
03:07Why was this the song
03:10that you wanted to, like,
03:11kick off the Girl Violence era?
03:12What was it about the song?
03:13I think from the beginning
03:14of writing this album,
03:16I kind of was like,
03:16this song to me is just,
03:18it's so fun
03:19and it feels like a continuation
03:22of, like,
03:23Hit the Back,
03:24Pussy is God.
03:25Like, I always drop
03:26Slutty One
03:27in the mix.
03:29Yeah.
03:29In the Sadness movie.
03:31This one really,
03:32even when we wrote it,
03:33I was like,
03:34I hope that this is
03:35the first single.
03:36And then obviously, like,
03:37my label's so lovely,
03:38like, we just sat down
03:40and we're like,
03:40what's the first single?
03:41And I was like,
03:41I think it's got to be
03:42the whore one.
03:46Honestly,
03:47and it worked out
03:48because Hit the Back
03:48is my favorite song.
03:50That's a fabulous song.
03:51It's a perfect song.
03:52Like, let's do
03:53gay dance moves
03:54but for lesbians
03:55right now.
03:57And it's perfect.
03:57Well, we deserve it,
03:58you know?
03:58I think that there's,
03:59and especially, like,
04:00expert-level lesbian,
04:02like, not like
04:02the type of lesbian
04:03where it's like,
04:04I don't know if she's gay.
04:06Like, it's not,
04:06that's not really my,
04:07like, I'm too gay
04:09for that,
04:09you know what I mean?
04:09I absolutely understand
04:11that you mean.
04:11I'm advanced stages.
04:12Advanced stages gay.
04:13Like, I'm stage four gay.
04:15Stage four gay,
04:15absolutely.
04:15Like, it's not, like,
04:16it's not fun anymore.
04:18Like, it's not like
04:19a will they, won't they?
04:20That's 100%
04:21how we need to be
04:22describing homosexuality
04:23in the year of our Lord 2025.
04:25Yeah, it's like,
04:25if you've been,
04:26I've been gay
04:26since I was five years old.
04:28Like, it's like,
04:28at this point,
04:29it's just like,
04:29I don't know,
04:30I'm not like a will they,
04:31won't they dating,
04:32like, a confused girl
04:33type of energy.
04:34Like, I'm, like,
04:35talking about, like,
04:36how are we getting down?
04:37This is more of a,
04:38it's inoperable
04:39and there's nothing
04:39that we can do type situation.
04:40There's nothing we can do.
04:41Do you want it on the floor,
04:42against the door?
04:44Oh my God.
04:45And I have to say,
04:46your performance of that
04:47at the Market Hotel
04:48has stayed in my head
04:51because even as a,
04:53let's be very clear,
04:54camera, homosexual man.
04:56I thought you were questioning.
04:57Thank you for putting that out
04:58in the public.
05:00But it's like,
05:01even watching it that way,
05:02I was just like,
05:03oh no,
05:04there's something going on.
05:05And that's how you know
05:06that, like,
05:06no one's 100%
05:07except some people are.
05:08I like to give everyone boners.
05:10Just a little something,
05:11you know?
05:11I think it's only fair.
05:13Yeah, it was a full moment
05:14of you, like,
05:15writhing around
05:15on the floor of the stage
05:16and I was like,
05:17I get it.
05:18I do in fact get it.
05:19I, you know,
05:20somebody said to me,
05:21you know,
05:21everybody's got their,
05:22their dance moves.
05:24Unfortunately,
05:25the only one I can do
05:26is a body roll.
05:27So that's what I've just
05:27been working with.
05:28Same.
05:29Yeah.
05:29I can give hips.
05:30Yeah, exactly.
05:31I can move them forward
05:32and back.
05:33Forward and back,
05:33side to side.
05:34Exactly.
05:35But I won't be giving
05:36step, step and,
05:37step and five, six, seven.
05:39Yeah, exactly.
05:40Right, yeah.
05:41You say choreography,
05:42I say no, no.
05:43Yeah, no,
05:43I can do body roll.
05:45Yeah.
05:45Over here,
05:46over there,
05:46front of the stage,
05:47side of the stage.
05:48That's what I give.
05:49That's what I bring to the table.
05:51Exactly.
05:51I love it.
05:52I also wanted to ask you,
05:54you just made your acting debut.
05:55I did, yeah.
05:56Nine Perfect Strangers.
05:57Yes.
05:58Tell me a little bit about
05:59why you wanted to get into acting.
06:01I think I was just going
06:02through a period of time
06:02where like,
06:03I just have been doing music
06:04my entire life
06:05and I think for a minute
06:07I was like,
06:08whoa,
06:08am I doing this
06:10because it's what I do
06:12or because it's what
06:13I love to do?
06:14And I knew the answer
06:15really in my heart
06:16is like,
06:16it is what I love to do.
06:18But sometimes
06:18when those things happen
06:19I think it's best
06:20to just take a step away
06:22and I'm lucky enough
06:23to be able to like,
06:24you know,
06:25I said I want to
06:26start auditioning
06:27and you know,
06:28I had agents
06:29who stepped up
06:29and wanted to help me with it
06:31and I started auditioning
06:33and I got this role
06:34and I was kind of like,
06:35what a perfect excuse
06:36to like do a little bit
06:37of like self work,
06:39like go live in Germany
06:41and do something
06:42completely out of my comfort zone
06:43for six months
06:44and kind of be a student again.
06:46Yeah.
06:47And see how that
06:48betters me
06:50as an artist
06:51and as a musician
06:52and it really did,
06:53like it got me actually
06:54up my music game.
06:56Really?
06:57How so?
06:57Well,
06:57because it's another form
06:59of performance
06:59but it's an interesting
07:01form of performance
07:02because you really
07:03can't be embarrassed.
07:05You have to try stuff.
07:06You have to try stuff
07:07and you have to kind of,
07:08you're using your body
07:09as a tool in a way
07:11that's really precise
07:12and on camera
07:13and I think it just dialed me
07:16and allowed me
07:17to be more silly
07:18and more clown-like
07:19and feel less precious.
07:22Yeah, everything's all of a sudden
07:23not so serious.
07:25Well, so you do like 30 takes,
07:27you know,
07:27and it's like,
07:28you know,
07:28and some of them
07:28they're just like,
07:29no, you know,
07:30which I kind of,
07:31I respect that.
07:32I'm like,
07:33that's cool.
07:33Like I,
07:34but more art all the time.
07:35We just need art constantly.
07:37Very that.
07:38I am loving the image
07:39of you on set
07:40doing something
07:41and them going,
07:41cut,
07:42no.
07:43Yeah,
07:43that's,
07:44most of my critique
07:45was just no.
07:46I mean,
07:46and obviously you got to hang out
07:47with fucking Nicole Kidman
07:48on set.
07:49The Bob.
07:51The severity of it.
07:52Did she give you
07:53any like cool advice
07:54when you were on set
07:55about acting?
07:56When we were like
07:57filming the scene
07:58where I'm like
07:58having a Menti B.
08:00Natch.
08:01She was in character
08:03on set.
08:04Oh.
08:05So it was giving very like,
08:06she was like walking
08:07around me in circles.
08:08Oh no.
08:09Which was like
08:10so hot.
08:11You know?
08:12So I was just like
08:13living.
08:14And then at one point,
08:15because she was giving
08:16Masha accent too.
08:17At one point she was just like,
08:20save it for home camera.
08:22Oh.
08:22Don't waste your performance.
08:24Because I was like,
08:25You were giving.
08:26I give.
08:27Natch.
08:28I give during the rehearsal.
08:29I give at rehearsal.
08:30I give full throttle
08:32a whole way through.
08:33And she was like,
08:33100% at all times.
08:34Save it for the performance.
08:36Oh my God.
08:37And I was like,
08:37okay.
08:38And then I did.
08:40That's a fever dream to me.
08:41It was.
08:42In a castle in Austria.
08:44Just having Nicole Kidman
08:45in a full-blown Russian accent
08:47be like,
08:47save it for the camera
08:48is wild.
08:49It was mage.
08:50I was really,
08:52I was vibing.
08:53I mean,
08:53I had a really good time.
08:55Absolutely.
08:56It's a gay girl's dream.
08:58And I know that you were also
08:59cast in the upcoming
09:00Hugh Jackman movie.
09:02That movie is fabulous.
09:03I just watched it.
09:04Did you watch it?
09:05How did it look?
09:06It looked really good.
09:07Amazing.
09:08Can you tell us
09:09anything about this movie?
09:10Yes.
09:11So it's Kate Hudson
09:12and Hugh Jackman
09:13and they're
09:13a couple from Wisconsin.
09:16Love.
09:17They get together
09:17because they're
09:18both impersonators
09:20in like the local
09:21like state fair,
09:23you know,
09:24touring musician,
09:26working class musician crowd,
09:27but they're impersonators.
09:28She's a Patsy Kline impersonator.
09:30He's kind of figuring out
09:32who he's going to impersonate
09:33and he turns out
09:34he loves Neil Diamond
09:35and he looks kind of like
09:36Neil Diamond.
09:37So they end up
09:38joining together
09:39and creating a duo.
09:41It's really cute
09:42and I play his daughter.
09:44He's got two daughters.
09:45Me and Ella
09:46play his daughters
09:48and it's really,
09:49it was fabulous.
09:50Just working with two
09:51wonderful people
09:53who are like
09:55just incredible collaborators
09:58and just so charming
10:00and like with it.
10:02And the fact that
10:03your first two
10:04like major co-stars
10:06are Hugh Jackman
10:07and Kate Winslet
10:07and Nicole Kidman.
10:09Or Kate Hudson.
10:10Oh, did I say Kate Winslet?
10:11Which I love Kate Winslet,
10:13obviously,
10:14but Kate Hudson
10:14I'm also just gagged.
10:16No, that's gagged.
10:17Yeah, absolutely.
10:18I can't think of better co-stars
10:19for you to be having
10:20with your first two projects.
10:22Yeah, that was
10:23That's crazy.
10:24Really, really lucky.
10:26Did you ever notice
10:28a difference between
10:29like filming for TV
10:30and filming for a film?
10:31Well, TV's longer.
10:34You're so right.
10:35Yeah, physically,
10:36actually it is longer.
10:37Literally, like I lived
10:38I lived in Germany
10:39for six months
10:40filming this show.
10:42So it was kind of like
10:43bye, you know?
10:46And then for the movie
10:46I was just going to New Jersey,
10:48which is also honestly
10:49did not realize
10:50how far New Jersey
10:52was from Brooklyn.
10:53No one told me.
10:54Yeah, no, that's brutal.
10:55That Manhattan sits
10:56directly between
10:57Brooklyn and New Jersey.
10:59Never thought about that
11:00once or not.
11:00Especially if she's taking
11:01public transit,
11:01like, oh girl,
11:02it's going to take you
11:03minimum two hours.
11:04No, it was insane.
11:05Awful.
11:06I do think with movies
11:07it's just a shorter amount
11:09of time to get into something.
11:10When you're shooting
11:11like a six month show,
11:12you have like months
11:13to think about the character
11:14and months to prep for it.
11:16Like movies are just
11:17a faster turnaround, I think.
11:18To get back a little bit
11:20to the music,
11:20first of all,
11:21thank you so much
11:21for moving back to New York.
11:23Oh, of course.
11:23We missed you so much.
11:25I don't know what
11:26you were doing in LA.
11:27No, it was actually
11:27so awful.
11:29Like I just can't,
11:30just, oh God.
11:32Yeah, LA was not it for you?
11:34No one should go there.
11:36I don't disagree.
11:38I mean, honestly,
11:38that's rude.
11:39No, there's parts of it.
11:40There's parts of it
11:41that are fine.
11:42No, I was actually
11:42just thinking
11:43if I thought of any parts,
11:44there's no parts.
11:45New York, New York or bust.
11:48Truly, truly.
11:50What has the experience
11:51been like coming back
11:52and how do you think
11:53that sort of impacted
11:54your creative process?
11:56It's interesting
11:56because when you grow up
11:57like 18 years in a place,
11:59like I went to school
12:00for nine years of my life
12:02in this neighborhood
12:03and you know,
12:05you like graduate high school
12:07and you're,
12:07everybody kind of wants
12:08to leave their hometown
12:09for a minute.
12:10Yeah.
12:10Mine is New York,
12:11unfortunately.
12:11So it's like,
12:13I wanted to.
12:13Not unfortunately.
12:14It's great.
12:14No, fortunately,
12:15but unfortunately
12:15because then you leave
12:16and then you go,
12:16wait a second.
12:17My home,
12:18I have to go back
12:19to my hometown.
12:19Yeah.
12:20You know,
12:21I took those years
12:22to kind of be a young adult
12:23in a city that was
12:24like foreign to me.
12:25But the minute I moved back,
12:26I just felt embraced
12:27by my city
12:28and by the people,
12:31the queer community.
12:32Like I found my queer community
12:34here as an adult
12:35in a way that's really,
12:38really beautiful
12:38and really fun.
12:40I love that.
12:40I love my girls
12:41and yeah,
12:43I don't know.
12:44I just,
12:44this is my favorite city
12:45in the world,
12:46my stinky poopy rat city.
12:48That's right.
12:48And anyone who's trying
12:49to get rid of the rats
12:50in New York City,
12:51don't.
12:52What are we doing?
12:52Why would you ever do that?
12:53I tried to save a rat.
12:56Did you really?
12:56Yeah, I did.
12:58I took it inside.
12:59It was a baby
13:00and I was like,
13:02we got a kid,
13:03we like did a whole thing.
13:04Unfortunately,
13:05she did pass.
13:06So sorry to hear it.
13:07But it was a big day for me.
13:09That's huge for you.
13:10I love that.
13:10It was a big day.
13:11She did bite me though
13:12and I was like,
13:13do I have to go
13:14to the hospital?
13:17And then I was like,
13:18I'm going to wing it.
13:18It'll be fine.
13:19Yeah,
13:19it'll be totally.
13:20She's a baby.
13:21Who cares?
13:22She's a baby.
13:23She's a baby.
13:24Well,
13:24things are a little spicy
13:26for us right now
13:27in the queer community.
13:28I'm sorry,
13:29let me just.
13:30Yeah,
13:30no,
13:31let's both.
13:31Let's both just take a moment.
13:33Oh,
13:33God.
13:34It's not the best.
13:36I think the most recent example
13:37was the Trump administration
13:39decided it would be a good idea
13:41to cut funding
13:42for LGBTQ youth
13:44suicide prevention.
13:45What was your reaction
13:46when you heard about that?
13:47I mean,
13:47none of this is surprising.
13:49Nope.
13:49I mean,
13:49these people have literally
13:51been detailing this
13:52in their plans,
13:54in their plans
13:55that they weirdly deny
13:56being their plans.
13:57If you read through
13:58Project 2025,
13:59a lot of this shit
14:00is in there.
14:00It's like,
14:01and they're also like 50%
14:02of the way through
14:03Project 2025 at this point.
14:04Yeah,
14:05I mean,
14:05the thing that I find
14:06really interesting is
14:08because we knew
14:08this was going to happen.
14:09We know these people
14:10hate gays.
14:12They hate immigrants.
14:13They don't care about,
14:16you know,
14:17any form of equity
14:18in this country.
14:18They are hateful.
14:21But what is really surprising
14:23to me
14:23and drives me crazy
14:25is that we,
14:26as a community,
14:28I think we are
14:29really disillusioned
14:30and upset
14:31and hurt
14:32as we should be.
14:33And so we're infighting.
14:35Yes.
14:36And I am a big proponent
14:38of there is a clear
14:40common enemy here.
14:42And we are,
14:44the minutiae
14:45of whatever we're
14:46having discourse about
14:47within our own community
14:48at the moment.
14:50It'd be amazing
14:51if as a group
14:52we all just decided
14:53that it's better
14:55that we are out
14:56and proud
14:57and living
14:58in this country
14:59and dealing
15:00with what's really important,
15:02which is that
15:03they are coming for us.
15:05Literally.
15:05It's every time
15:06I see people...
15:07We don't need to come
15:08for each other.
15:08They are literally
15:09doing that work.
15:11Exactly.
15:11It's every time
15:12I see people
15:13starting to like
15:14remove letters
15:15from the acronym.
15:17I'm like,
15:17guys,
15:17what are we doing?
15:19Well,
15:19I see all that stuff
15:20and I'm like,
15:21you know,
15:21because I'm on
15:22gay talk
15:23and stuff
15:23and like,
15:24and dyke talk
15:25and all that shit.
15:26And I'm like,
15:26part of me understands it
15:28because it's like,
15:29of course we're,
15:30we're infighting.
15:31Of course we're picking
15:32each other apart
15:33because we're fucking mad.
15:35Yeah.
15:35We're mad
15:36and we're upset
15:36and I get it,
15:38but I mean,
15:40I just,
15:41there's so much
15:41to get into.
15:42I mean,
15:42this whole,
15:43this bill he's trying
15:43to pass,
15:44the great,
15:44big,
15:45beautiful bill,
15:47which is like
15:47literally destroyed.
15:49I'm like,
15:49you're just going
15:50to destroy everything
15:51with this.
15:51And this,
15:52we just,
15:53you know,
15:54bombed her on
15:55and it's like,
15:56but this bill
15:57is getting passed.
15:58It's all,
15:59it's all distraction tactics
16:00to stop us
16:01from recognizing
16:02what's happening
16:03in this country right now.
16:04And that doesn't even
16:05speak to the fact
16:06that like,
16:06you know,
16:06you look at what
16:07the Supreme Court
16:08just did
16:08in the Scrimetti case
16:10with the trans community
16:11and it's just like,
16:13yeah,
16:13of course they're going
16:14to be target number one
16:15because they are
16:15the most vulnerable group
16:17amongst queer people.
16:19If you're feeling
16:21disillusioned
16:22and upset
16:23and angry,
16:23I think one way
16:24that I've found
16:25like a,
16:26a solve for that
16:27is find your local
16:29LGBT center
16:30and donate.
16:32There's a lot
16:33of different ways
16:33you can help.
16:34You can donate clothing.
16:35You can help facilitate,
16:38you know,
16:39programs within
16:40the community.
16:41You can,
16:42you can sign up
16:43to just be somebody
16:44who helps work
16:45on the space
16:46and organize the space.
16:47Yeah.
16:47And there's,
16:48there's millions
16:48of ways
16:49that you can help
16:50and find that
16:51local LGBT center
16:52because that's
16:53your immediate community.
16:55Absolutely.
16:55And that's the place
16:56that kids go
16:57when they need help.
16:57A hundred percent.
16:58I mean,
16:59especially like
17:00in places that aren't
17:02like New York,
17:03Los Angeles,
17:04if you have an LGBT center
17:05in your hometown,
17:07go volunteer.
17:08I guarantee you
17:09they need help.
17:10Yes.
17:10And it's,
17:11it feels small,
17:13but it's not
17:13because to have
17:15a place in your city
17:16for,
17:17for kids
17:17who are displaced
17:18and feel lost
17:20is,
17:21it's few and far between
17:23and it's getting fewer.
17:24And a lot of these places
17:25are relying
17:26on volunteer help.
17:27So I would suggest
17:29that there's some
17:29amazing ones in New York
17:31that have been around forever.
17:33Completely.
17:33But yeah,
17:34and in LA as well.
17:35I used to go there a lot.
17:36The one in Hollywood.
17:37Absolutely.
17:38The New York LGBT center
17:39I've used multiple times.
17:41It's great.
17:42It's an excellent resource
17:43for everybody
17:43who's living there.
17:44So that's kind of
17:44where I'm at
17:45is like local.
17:46How do we just like
17:47make sure that kids
17:48are closed,
17:49that they have people
17:50to talk to?
17:51Yes.
17:52That there are programs
17:53that they can go to
17:54and hang out
17:54and find community.
17:56Bingo.
17:56Without those little things
17:58it becomes really bleak.
18:00Yeah.
18:00I think.
18:01Well and that's the other thing
18:02that I've been trying to do
18:03is just like checking in
18:04on like the people
18:06in your immediate community.
18:08Yeah.
18:08Like I've been trying
18:09to take everybody's temperature
18:10about how they're doing
18:12in all of this.
18:13And I did want to ask
18:14how have the people around you
18:15as all of this
18:15has been happening,
18:16how have they been like
18:17coping and dealing
18:18with all of this?
18:19It's interesting
18:19because I do think
18:20like in Brooklyn
18:22like we just be partying.
18:24I mean 100%.
18:25That is largely
18:27how my community
18:27has been doing too.
18:28I think that's the vibe.
18:29Yeah.
18:29It's hedonism.
18:30It's like everybody's just like
18:31it becomes hedonistic
18:33in the face of World War III.
18:34Yeah, exactly.
18:35I live in a very privileged
18:36position of living
18:39in Brooklyn
18:39with my friends
18:41and family
18:41who are safe
18:42and living
18:43in a liberal city.
18:44But again
18:45like we have a
18:45this will come out
18:46after the election
18:47and hope it turns out well
18:48but tomorrow's voting day.
18:50I know all my friends
18:51are registered.
18:53It was a big conversation
18:54in my friend group
18:55of like making sure
18:56everybody could find
18:57their polling place
18:58that we all had
18:59each other's cheat sheets
19:00because this shit
19:01gets confusing
19:02when you walk in there
19:03sometimes
19:03especially if you're stoned
19:05all the time
19:06like me.
19:07Fair.
19:07Filling in bubbles
19:08is hard.
19:10So you know
19:11stuff like that
19:12like you know
19:13hey guys
19:13just checking in
19:14do you need help
19:15finding your polling place
19:16to you
19:17you know
19:18that type of stuff
19:19but you know
19:20I think the temperature
19:21is really sad
19:23and confused
19:24and also want to be horny
19:26and drunk
19:27this summer.
19:27Yeah absolutely
19:28100%.
19:29If that
19:29does that kind of cover?
19:31No everyone should
19:32want to be horny
19:33and drunk this summer
19:34to take their minds
19:35off of all of the
19:36bad shit happening.
19:37100%.
19:37Absolutely.
19:38We're always trying
19:39to like keep on track
19:40of what's trending up
19:42at Billboard
19:43the things that are
19:43going viral
19:44so we're going to show
19:45you a couple videos
19:45okay absolutely.
19:47Let us know
19:47what you think of them
19:48if you've seen them
19:49already
19:49things like that.
19:50Okay.
19:50Ready to do it?
19:51Yes.
19:51Let's do it.
19:52I'm ready.
19:59He's got audience
20:00for this.
20:01Which we love.
20:04He takes balls.
20:06Yeah.
20:06He's a diva.
20:07He's a diva.
20:08We love to see it.
20:09He came in
20:10with a fan favorite
20:11you know
20:11he knew what the crowd
20:12was going to react to
20:14he handled it.
20:15We love it.
20:16We love it.
20:17Had you seen this
20:17before we showed it to you?
20:18I've never seen it
20:19in my life.
20:19Is that a straight man?
20:21Is it a straight man?
20:22I don't know.
20:23What is he doing?
20:24That was all about
20:25Carnival Cruise.
20:26Is he just got up
20:27for fun?
20:28He did like a karaoke.
20:29Yeah.
20:30Lovingly nicknamed
20:30Carnival Cruise Tyler
20:32and now Keith Sweats
20:34Nobody is going viral
20:35because of it.
20:36I'm really happy for him
20:37I guess.
20:38So now we have
20:39the Black Eyed Peas
20:40Rock Your Body
20:40is going viral.
20:41Fabulous song.
20:42Here's the video
20:43we're going to show you.
20:44Rock Your Body
20:45Come on
20:46Come on
20:46Rock Your Body
20:47Rock Your Body
20:48Rock Your Body
20:49So this doesn't
20:50resonate with me.
20:51Yeah see
20:52viral TikTok dances
20:53are not it for me.
20:54As we've discussed
20:55only body rolls.
20:56I like the AI
20:57country songs
20:58that are like
20:59that would lag me in.
21:01Yes.
21:01And I like Cupcake.
21:03I mean of course.
21:04Of course.
21:04If you had to pick
21:05one song of yours
21:06to get like
21:07one random song
21:09from your discography
21:09to get the sudden
21:10viral treatment
21:11what would you
21:12want it to be?
21:13Any of them.
21:14Truly.
21:15Absolutely.
21:16Absolutely.
21:17I'm like any
21:18Give us the streams
21:18babe.
21:19Anyone.
21:20No I mean honestly
21:20like I would
21:21I guess looking back
21:23I guess it would
21:23make sense
21:24for like a
21:25Hit the Back.
21:25I have one
21:33where I say
21:34it's called
21:35Back of a Cab
21:36and there's a line
21:37that's like
21:37you like gay shit
21:38which I always
21:40felt like that was
21:41it was pre-TikTok
21:42but I do think
21:43It's built for that moment.
21:44It was built for that moment
21:45so that's another one
21:46but honestly
21:47I'll take whatever.
21:48Absolutely.
21:50What's been trending up
21:51for you?
21:51Okay so I've been getting
21:52a lot of these people
21:53on TikTok
21:54who are like
21:54coming out as like
21:56Jesus
21:56like reformed gay people.
21:58Yeah.
21:58It's unfortunately
21:59a trend right now.
22:00I'm getting a lot of them
22:01and I'm loving it.
22:03It's kind of iconic.
22:04They're all so gay.
22:06It's like
22:07a bull dyke
22:09being like
22:10not anymore.
22:12Jesus saves.
22:13I was like
22:13Tussie.
22:15Truly just like
22:16the skinniest twink
22:18that you have ever seen
22:19clearly still high on poppers
22:21just being like
22:22I love God
22:23and it's just kind of like
22:24okay babe.
22:24I love pussy.
22:26I've become like
22:27I do think that
22:28my Instagram reels
22:30algorithm
22:31is more dialed
22:32than my TikTok algorithm.
22:34Interesting.
22:35Because I've really
22:35worked on it.
22:37Okay work.
22:38Because I like
22:38I like the like
22:39really scary shit.
22:41Yeah absolutely.
22:41And reels has that.
22:43Give me an example
22:44of the really scary shit.
22:45Like a woman like
22:46pouring like
22:47wine through her toes
22:48or like
22:49there's like this woman
22:50like this woman
22:51who wears like
22:51Are you okay?
22:53Are you good?
22:54Like full body latex
22:55like all day
22:56and there's no music
22:57and it's just the sound
22:58of her latex
22:59like rubbing.
23:00That's nightmarish
23:01and I love this for you.
23:01Okay yeah
23:02that's kind of
23:03where I'm at
23:03or like the woman
23:04who prays for like
23:05IBS
23:05like she does prayers
23:07for like people's
23:08like stomach issues.
23:09I'm gonna ask again
23:10are you okay?
23:11No.
23:12Perfect.
23:13Sick in the head.
23:14Just praying for IBS.
23:16Yeah most of my like
23:17TikTok algorithm
23:18is just
23:19just lesbians
23:20just
23:21Just doing crazy shit.
23:23Just like yelling
23:23about something
23:24or doing something
23:26of the sort.
23:26Honestly I'm obsessed
23:26with that.
23:27Well because I
23:27you know
23:28it's who I like
23:29it's my fans
23:30like I'll like interact
23:31and then like
23:32my algorithms
23:32just like
23:33full that.
23:35Unbelievable.
23:36But I'm learning.
23:37I'm learning.
23:38Absolutely.
23:38Every day I'm learning.
23:39Is there anything
23:40in particular
23:40that you're like
23:41watching a lot right now?
23:42Any like shows?
23:43I'm watching Love Island.
23:44Love that for you.
23:45Wish I was into it.
23:46I just
23:47for some reason
23:47I have not been drawn in.
23:49My favorite is
23:49Love is Blind
23:50because I like
23:51that the stakes
23:52are so high.
23:52Like I like that
23:53it's destroying
23:54people's lives.
23:55Love is Blind
23:56is giving high camp.
23:57I like when the reality TV
23:58destroys people's lives.
24:00Like I don't want
24:01the stakes to be that low
24:02because it's
24:03For sure.
24:03Like Love Island
24:04is like what you leave.
24:05Yeah exactly.
24:06It's like Love is Blind
24:07like you're married.
24:08For sure.
24:10You're fully married
24:10to a stranger.
24:11Like I
24:12Wild.
24:12So I like stuff like that.
24:14For sure.
24:15I am watching
24:16and just like that
24:17it's really hard
24:18Yeah.
24:19to get through
24:20each episode
24:21but I
24:22am doing it.
24:23It's almost like
24:24you know
24:25gay homework.
24:25It's just kind of like
24:26we have to.
24:27I have to
24:27because I'm just
24:28Sex and the City
24:29is biblical for me.
24:31We've invested
24:31this much time
24:32so it's just kind of
24:33like you have to get in.
24:34It is like
24:35I'm like
24:36okay there's
24:36a new episode.
24:39Real.
24:40But
24:40yeah what else
24:42am I watching?
24:43I don't know
24:43I kind of
24:44I've watched such trash
24:45and I'm about to watch
24:46Coop Cruise
24:47you know about this?
24:48I do know about this.
24:49Did you see this?
24:49I haven't seen it yet.
24:50It's coming out tomorrow
24:51I'm so excited
24:53I got some friends
24:53coming over
24:54we're gonna watch
24:54Just gonna do a
24:55Poop Cruise marathon
24:56I love that.
24:56We're gonna do a
24:57Poop Cruise viewing party.
24:59I'm gonna get
24:59hors d'oeuvres.
25:02I'm gonna serve
25:03little
25:03Serve little turds?
25:04I'm gonna serve
25:05little doodos
25:06to all my friends.
25:07Just like chocolate mousse
25:08but in the shape of
25:09like a little poop emoji
25:10I'm obsessed.
25:10Yeah on a little boat.
25:11Yeah I love to do
25:12a viewing party.
25:13I love that.
25:15Who doesn't love
25:15a theme you know?
25:16I love a theme.
25:18I love a theme
25:19I like when I'm told
25:20like this is the boundaries
25:21that we're working with
25:23for tonight
25:23come in
25:25bring what you've got.
25:26Now I have to watch
25:27Poop Cruise tomorrow
25:28like I just have to watch it.
25:29I'm sorry does that not
25:29sound interesting to you?
25:30No that sounds fascinating.
25:32Because if we're being honest
25:33there is nothing
25:34that I want less
25:35than to be on a cruise ship.
25:37Oh absolutely
25:37yeah no
25:38the middle of the ocean
25:39You could not
25:39pay me.
25:41Can we get into the fact
25:42that the deep ocean
25:43is like
25:44the most nightmarish place
25:45on the planet?
25:46Oh that's where the aliens are.
25:47I mean yeah
25:48no we're both on track
25:49with that.
25:49No they're in there.
25:50They're doing there.
25:51Remember when the guy
25:51went on TV
25:52and he was like
25:53they did like
25:53a four hour press conference
25:55about aliens
25:55and at the end
25:56he's like
25:57they're in the ocean.
25:58They're in the ocean
25:58and you know what?
25:59I believe in.
26:00No they're in the ocean
26:01but also I don't fucks
26:02with the sea.
26:03Same.
26:03See and that's
26:04that's why we're right here.
26:05I don't fucks with
26:06I like lakes.
26:06Absolutely not.
26:07I like to know
26:07the bounds of my water source.
26:09As someone from Chicago
26:11I'm like
26:12Lake Michigan
26:12let's fucking go.
26:13That's great.
26:13Honestly that's too big.
26:15Too big for you?
26:16I famously once
26:17was playing Lollapalooza
26:18and I woke up
26:18in this beautiful hotel
26:19and I called my manager
26:20and I was like
26:21God
26:22I love this hotel.
26:24What a beautiful view
26:25of the ocean.
26:26I mean
26:26that's Lake Michigan
26:29you dumb bitch.
26:30I have literally
26:31watched TikToks
26:32of people just being like
26:33there is some
26:34conspiracy theory going on
26:35because like
26:36why are y'all telling me
26:37Chicago is in the middle
26:38of the country
26:39when there is an ocean
26:40right there?
26:41I'm confused by that.
26:42That's too big a lake
26:43for me.
26:43I fully get it
26:45but I love it.
26:46But you're from there
26:47so it's
26:47You know what
26:48you're right
26:48I'm tinged
26:49Did you find like
26:50did you have like
26:51a little cove
26:52you went swimming in
26:52or something?
26:53I mean
26:54you know what
26:54for the sake of this interview
26:56yes absolutely I did.
26:58Yeah because I feel like
26:59when the lake's that big
27:00you have to go to
27:01a specific zone
27:02in the lake.
27:02Once you lose sight
27:04of the horizon
27:04over the lake
27:05it's like
27:05is this really a lake anymore?
27:07The lake I go to
27:08is tiny.
27:09It's a little small lake
27:09I love that for you.
27:10So for me it's really
27:11you know
27:11I can see
27:12all four points
27:14of ending.
27:15Love it.
27:16It's good.
27:17So King Princess
27:17what are you listening to
27:18right now?
27:19I really love
27:19Lola Young.
27:20Oh
27:21I'm obsessed with her.
27:23Yeah she's awesome.
27:24The other day
27:24driving to the Quarry
27:25we listened to all
27:26of Slut Pop Miami.
27:28Natch of course.
27:29Yeah.
27:29I've been listening
27:30I've been listening
27:30personally to a lot
27:32of like Lou Reed
27:34like just 180.
27:36That tracks for you
27:36absolutely.
27:37Yeah a lot of
27:38Neil Young.
27:39Oh love okay.
27:40But that's kind of
27:41when I get into my
27:42like rock and roll
27:43daddy bag.
27:44For sure.
27:44When I'm just sitting
27:45at home.
27:46You got the rock and roll
27:47daddy bag I love it.
27:48Yeah.
27:49Incredible.
27:49I can't think of a
27:50better place to wrap
27:51up the interview.
27:52King Princess
