00:00Will you vote by the DELP today?
00:12What?
00:13Will you vote by yes on this DELP?
00:16I've already said no. I'm not voting. I'm not voting for it.
00:20Senator, what do you make of Democrats?
00:22They're going to bring up a lot of amendments.
00:24They're going to try and stall this bill getting passed.
00:26Do you think that's an effective delay tactic?
00:30No, I don't. I don't think it's really helpful.
00:33I think if you have an argument to make, do that in the next five or seven or eight amendments to make that powerful statement.
00:42I don't understand. I don't think people are going to really be paying attention if you're doing 20, 30 or more kinds of amendments.
00:49I don't really think there's a lot of dignity in it.
00:51Do you think Democrats are doing a good enough job of telling the American people what's in this bill?
00:55Well, for me, I mean, I think America has really decided on what they think that.
01:01I've seen the polling, and they think it's unpopular.
01:04And then I think the most effective argument was just made by Tillis, and he did the homework.
01:12And he saw this is what this is the kind of impact we'll have in North Carolina.
01:16So I think it should be a quality, not a quantity, and just claiming that the entire world's going to end.
01:23But just make that statement, how I can't vote for this bill.
01:26And that's exactly why I thought what Tillis did is the most effective argument against voting for it.
01:32Any comment about Senator Tillis now announcing his retirement after the pushback from President Trump?
01:39Yeah, well, I mean, it's like he's, you know, honestly, I caught him in the inner sanctum eating a Trader Joe's pizza.
01:47And I'm like, he's not even a...
01:49No, no, but no, he's a good guy.
01:53And, of course, I think he's someone that we shouldn't...
01:56It's sad if we were going to lose him for that thing.
01:59But that's also part of the truth in there right now.
02:02It's getting more and more polarizing and very punishing.
02:05Do you have a sense of what time this we were at?
02:07Did you get any clues on the floor?
02:10What's that?
02:10Did you get any clues on the floor about what time this we were at?
02:14Oh, my God.
02:15I just want to go home.
02:16I've already...
02:17I've missed our entire trip to the beach.
02:21My family's going to be back before we...
02:23So, and again, I'm going to vote no.
02:26There's no drama.
02:29You know, the votes are going to go.
02:30In fact, the only interesting votes are going to be on the margin, whether that's Collins or Johnson and those.
02:35But all the Democrats, we all know how that's going to go.
02:38And I think...
02:39I don't think it's really helpful to put people here until when it's an ungodly hour.
02:45And again...
02:46Thank you, sir.
02:47Thank you, sir.
02:48Thank you, sir.
02:53Thank you, sir.
