00:00Red Sox tonight host the Reds.
00:02Minus 178, the price on Boston, with Crochet on the bunt.
00:07That total seven and a half.
00:09Who gets the start for Cincinnati?
00:11It would be the rookie.
00:12Career start number two for Chase Burns,
00:16the number two overall pick in last summer's draft.
00:19DRS was thrilling in his MLB debut last week against the Yanks.
00:23Struck out the side, one, two, three, in his debut inning,
00:27even putting 100 miles per hour on the radar.
00:30Gunn striking out Aaron Judge.
00:32The first six outs he recorded of his MLB career, all via the K.
00:36Tonight, he gets Garrett Crochet and the Red Sox on the other side.
00:40What do you like tonight in Fenway?
00:42Yeah, Chase Burns, right?
00:43Like the rollercoaster, like, oh, this is fun.
00:44You're going up the anticipation.
00:46Then you get the second order here and you drop down
00:48and it was terrible here for Chase Burns.
00:50We'll see if he bounces back.
00:51But the one thing you understand, when you have a flamethrower pitcher,
00:53sometimes it takes, you know, a couple games at least to get a book on the guy
00:57or a couple of the bats against the guy to see what he has.
01:00You might get that element tonight because anytime we talk about Boston,
01:0380-degree temperatures with the wind blowing out to left,
01:05you don't care how significant, you're looking at the offense.
01:08But if we start with Garrett Crochet, his last month, a 52 XFIP minus number,
01:12which is incredible.
01:13An ERA of 2.10, phenomenal.
01:16An XFIP number of 2.17.
01:18That's a good hitting monitor for Cincinnati and fun,
01:20but he's been a great pitcher and usually the better pitching holds down the better bats here.
01:25But again, with Chase Burns, you see that seven and a half.
01:28There is a chance that he goes right through like a hot knife through butter that first time around
01:31because throwing 100 and 100 plus is jarring specifically
01:35if you don't know about his breaking ball tendencies and how active it is.
01:39You want to get a look, as you saw in his last start.
01:41So I lean once again to the under in Boston tonight.
01:44It is a heavy favorite where you could get a Chase Burns start where he goes five innings
01:47and they can't touch him because it's not a great lineup per se from the Boston Red Sox,
01:52even though they do hit right-handed pitching fairly well over the past month.
01:55For me, Boston should win this game.
01:57They do have the better pitcher, but I'm just, I don't know what I'm getting out of Burns.
02:01Maybe it was a lot of, hey, you know what?
02:03I was really excited in start number one, got off to a hot start.
02:06Maybe I should measure myself a little bit better.
02:08Maybe I should get a better game called.
02:10Maybe listen to the catcher more a little bit if I'm shaking them off some of those signs.
02:13I still look for the under, but it's intriguing to see what Burns does tonight
02:16in that bounce-back start at that phenomenal first and second inning that he had last time out.
