00:00This morning, we're at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park at our Asian Plains field enclosure doing a rhino release with Greater One Horn Rhino, Alta, and her female calf, Anandi.
00:18So, after they were out in the exhibit for a little while, Alta found the rest of the rhinos, the crash.
00:25They were all sleeping between the swales, the hills, so she kind of surprised them.
00:30She introduced them to baby.
00:32Everyone was really excited, Parvesh particularly, to see his mom again, but they were all very respectful of her space and how protective of a mom she was, so it went better than we could have hoped for.
00:45One of the things that I was most excited about seeing was the interaction between Parvesh and Anandi, his little sister.
01:00She was really excitable.
01:02She went charging right after him, wanted to play.
01:06I think it was exciting for her to see a rhino that was maybe smaller than her mom, but a little bit bigger than her, so it was a lot of fun for everybody.
01:14Parvesh was such an awesome older brother, so he totally let Anandi just go right after him.
01:22He ran away, was real playful, but I think, more than anything, he was just real excited to see his mom after being away from her for two months and now a little baby sister.
01:34Anandi is definitely one of the most confident calves I've ever seen.
01:38Her little strut out on the exhibit kind of reminded me of someone with their shoulders back and their head held up high, and her spunky attitude we noticed right after she was born.
01:49So her name, Anandi, means joyful, and that's something that we're excited to see her express her attitude out on exhibit.
