00:00Let's test the mics. Yep. So here we are with the lovely. My name's Edmund Hatton and Jonathan
00:07Daglish. And if one of you's just want to explain a little bit of background about yourselves.
00:12About the business or myself personally? The business. Happy days. So we work for Binder.
00:17We're an industry-leading AML, KYC and risk management platform and now we have created
00:21a professional and financial service marketplace. So for someone who what you've just said,
00:27aka me, has no idea anything of what that means. How would you explain that in simpler terms?
00:33Super easy. So if you buy a regulated product, let's imagine you go to a bank and you want to
00:38open a bank account, you need to do KYC, which is know your customer. If you're a business or a
00:43corporate structure, you need to do KYB, which is know your business. So our technology allows you
00:48to seamlessly verify, validate and complete all of those processes. That's one challenge industry
00:55has. The second challenge is the sharing of information. We've now created a marketplace
01:00where you or a financial institution can go and look at hundreds of providers, compare their
01:07products and services and seamlessly on board into a third party financial institution. And the magic is
01:13everyone involved in the platform gets remunerated through commission. So if you open an account,
01:18you can earn commission.
01:19Amazing. So how did you get involved then as a team in the innovation challenge?
01:24Hey, good question. So Ed used to work at Digital Jersey a number of years ago. So he knows the
01:32competition really well and knows Kurt really well. And so Ed reached out to Kurt and got us excited and
01:37involved in the process. Fill out the application forms and then we've really let it into the business
01:41that's been really presented in front of us.
01:44So how do you feel that you've won?
01:46Ecstatic. Yeah, very, very proud. Proud of the team. It's not just me and JD. We have a team of 30 very talented individuals.
01:57And in fairness, the award is for the team. It's for everybody. We just happen to be the lucky guys who came and won it.
02:03So you've won the FinTech category. So what does innovation mean to you guys then?
02:10Innovation, a very broad word. Anything that is challenging status quo, bringing innovative ideas that can improve operational efficiency,
02:19profitability and make business easier. And that's what we do but for the FinTech industry.
02:24Anything you want to add?
02:26I think just pushing boundaries really, allowing the mind not to be limited.
02:30So what are your plans then tonight? So you've won big night out on the town. Well, what is of the town?
02:37We've had this karaoke bar mentioned to us, but I'm very against that.
02:42Sadaloke?
02:43Yeah.
02:44So we've had a couple of good nights. One was in London, one was last night. I think tonight we'll have to go out with a bang.
02:53We'll do three nights in a row.
02:54Well, lovely to speak to you guys and congratulations again.
02:57Thank you very much.
02:58Thank you very much.
