Bandipora (J&K), June 29, 2025 (ANI): Construction work on first research based goat farm is in full swing at Bandipora in North Kashmir. It is a first-of-its-kind goat farming facility focused on research and production. The project, with an estimated cost of ₹8 crores, will boost rural economy, enhance livestock quality, and offer new employment opportunities. Around 450 Swiss Alpine goats will be brought in the goat farm. These goats are known for their high productivity, docile nature, and greater milk and meat yield compared to our local breeds. Locals have thanked J&K govt for construction for such initiative to develop research farm in Bandipora.
