Instead of burning rice straws, which is a by-product of harvesting palay, the farmers of People’s Action for a Liberative Agricultural Industry (PALAI), with the help of non-profit organization Masipag Mindanao and the Department of Trade and Industry, are now producing eco bags from them, creating another sustainable stream of income.
