Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), June 29, 2025 (ANI): Speaking on dead bodies of Pakistani nationals found near India-Pakistan border, Jaisalmer SP Sudhir Choudhary on June 29 informed that they are investigating from all possible angles. “Around 11 AM yesterday, a local resident reported that the body of a young woman had been found a few kilometres from the international (India-Pakistan) border... Today, senior BSF officials are investigating the area. We are also coordinating closely with other agencies... Prima facie, the deceased appears to be young man and woman, and her IDs are from Pakistan. A mobile phone with a Pakistani SIM card was also recovered. They had an empty water bottle beside them. Initial observations suggest that the two may have died from dehydration, but the exact cause of death for both individuals will be confirmed after a post-mortem... We are investigating from all possible angles... It is unclear at this point whether they entered India illegally and were trying to return to Pakistan, or if they crossed the border from Pakistan into India... Due to recent storms and rainfall, there are no visible footprints, and the condition of the bodies suggests they had been there for several days... The IDs recovered were issued in 2023 and are currently being verified for authenticity... Meanwhile, the BSF and other relevant agencies are extending full cooperation, and we remain in constant coordination to ensure a thorough investigation,” said Sudhir Choudhary.
