Dehradun (Uttarakhand) June 29, 2025 (ANI): Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman reported that rescue operations are underway in Dehradun, with police, army personnel, and SDRF/NDRF teams involved. While 15 rescuers are on-site, another 45 are en route. Difficult terrain has hindered machine access, so manual efforts are being used to locate workers trapped in debris or swept into nearby cliffs or the river.Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman said, "... Police and Army personnel nearby have started rescue operations and SDRF and NDRF teams have been deployed. 15 people are engaged in rescue work and about 45 people are on the way, who will reach in half an hour... machines are not able to reach and it is difficult to work manually... workers are either trapped in the debris or swept away into the cliff or in the river... we will find them manually or with machines."
