00:00Hiking influencer Hannah Moody's cause of death is revealed.

00:04According to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office website,

00:07Moody, who was found dead along a trail in Scottsdale, Arizona back in May,

00:11died of environmental heat exposure and the manner of death was determined to be accidental.

00:17Hannah was 31 years old.

00:19According to authorities, she had been reported missing by friends on May 21,

00:23after which an initial search took place before being called off for the evening.

00:27Just after noon the following day, her body was found near the gateway trailhead

00:31of Scottsdale's McDowell Sonoran Reserve.

00:34Nearly a week after the tragedy, her mom, Terry Moody, expressed her grief.

00:39She told Arizona's family on May 28,

00:41However, Terry didn't believe there was foul play, noting the brutal Arizona weather.

00:56She said,

00:57She further expressed her gratitude towards Hannah's hiking friends and community

01:05as they joined together in the initial effort to find her.

01:08She added,

01:09The fact that there were so many people who loved and cared for her that took on that role,

01:13we're really grateful for that.

01:15Anytime she could climb on top of something and look out over the nature

01:18and see the sunrise or the sunset, those were her favorite things to do.
