00:00In the heart of Europe, I arrive in a country that surprised me with its modernity, a place
00:24where people enjoy great freedom, with top-notch roads and breathtaking architecture.
00:46When I looked at the map, the first thing that caught my eye was that Austria has no access
00:51to the sea. Despite this, it is surrounded by many interesting countries. To the north,
00:59the Czech Republic. To the east, Slovakia and Hungary.
01:03Vienna, the vibrant capital, lies on the banks of the majestic Danube River, which divides
01:19the city in two. Most of the action happens on the western bank, where not only the main
01:26airport is located, but also many of the city's most famous attractions.
01:33This area concentrates Vienna's cultural, historical and social life, and it's undoubtedly the
01:48heart of the city. But there's also a side of Vienna I didn't expect. The lively atmosphere
02:06along the Danube Canal. As I walked there, I was surprised to see men over 40, dancing with
02:12contagious enthusiasm alongside younger women.
02:32It was a vibrant scene full of energy, where age seemed irrelevant, and everyone was simply
02:38enjoying the moment. The music, the lights, and that festive vibe make the Danube Canal a place
02:50place where summer nights truly come alive.
03:00Thanks to the Schengen Agreement, traveling between these countries is quite easy. Something I found in the
03:18very convenient. Vienna is its most emblematic city, and I'm sure. Many have confused its name with Australia, at some point. But no, Austria is the country I'm in, and without a doubt, it's one of Europe's standout destinations.
03:42To the south lies Slovenia in Italy, and to the west, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Germany. This privileged location allows residents like me to enjoy quick weekend getaways to neighboring
04:10countries. From imposing palaces to bustling markets. This part of the city captures the essence of Vienna's rich history and modern vitality.
04:38With a population of around 2 million, Vienna feels large enough to offer a wide range of experiences, yet compact enough to explore comfortably.
04:50Considering that all of Austria has about 9 million people, nearly a quarter live in or around Vienna.
05:04Despite being small compared to other European capitals, the city manages to blend tradition and modernity in a unique way.
05:19For a city of its size, there's more than enough space to meet urban development needs.
05:37What impressed me the most is that in 2024, several studies rank Vienna as the most livable city in the world.
05:57Although it doesn't always take the top spot, Vienna consistently remains among the top five cities globally, in terms of quality of life.
06:15In 2018, for example, it was chosen as the most livable city on the planet.
06:25Vienna and Zurich often compete for this prestigious title.
06:29Something that surely makes both Austrians and newcomers proud.
06:33Amid all this urban charm, I couldn't skip a visit to the Prater, Vienna's famous amusement park.
06:53What stood out to me most was the iconic giant Ferris wheel, a symbol of the city.
07:07Riding the Ferris wheel was an incredible experience, offering sweeping views of Vienna from above.
07:14But the park isn't just for panoramic views.
07:23There are countless attractions for all ages, from roller coasters to classic fairground games.
07:30The Prater is a place where you forget about time and simply get swept up in the fun.
07:36It was a day full of adrenaline and unforgettable memories.
07:45Throughout this journey, I've learned to appreciate not only Vienna's beauty and atmosphere, but also Austria's rich history, despite being relatively small in size.
08:04If you're a football fan, you've probably heard of teams like Austria-Vienna, Rapid Vienna, Sturmgrass or Salzburg, which represent their cities in national and international competitions.
08:18You've heard it.
08:30We hope you've learned something, as well, first of all.
08:33But it's over to the Pacific.
08:34We hope you haven't started playing down bars and that's why we wish you had trouble with people.
08:37You've heard what's happening?
08:39The event of New York City was great, and I didn't have anything to do with you, I was the worst part of the broadcast.
08:42You've heard what happened today.
08:44I've done a great job, you've heard it.

09:16Austria's history goes back a long way, and it's believed the name Austria first appeared
09:40in the year 996, derived from the German word Ostro.
09:54The Germans called the region Oster, which is what we now know as Austria in English.
10:08We'll continue our journey through Central Europe with wonderful surprises ahead.
