Adorable Christmas geese make first appearance at Firs Farm in Sheffield.
Transcript
00:00They're a landmark, aren't they, when we get to this time of year, people come over their brow and see them.
00:08But then people still don't know you sell them at Christmas.
00:13A lady come, she'd come down, there's a pup pie, comes down past there.
00:18She'd come down there and come round into a yard. She says, are there your geese next door?
00:23She says, no, no, no, they're out, you know, the neighbours, they're next door.
00:29She says, what, why are they there sometimes and then they're not there?
00:34And they just said, Christmas. And she went, oh, and run off.
00:42Free range geese, yeah.
00:44We don't buy me turkeys, we haven't got the rumour, it gets a bit cold up here for doing turkeys at Christmas.
00:51If you're free range, isn't it?
00:53They grow to live rather than grow to feed people.
00:59As long as they've been looked after and had a good life.
01:05That's it, that's it, that's my only ethos of the shop really, that we know where everything comes from.
01:10Grazing going on.
01:13With the cattle as well.
01:14Do they get on?
01:15Yeah, I think that's bad.
01:21I just wanted to start pestering a bit sooner, but I won't put, I won't get my buck going until September.
01:28It's, I want to get the summer over as well.
01:30For the first couple of weeks, they stay inside all the time.
01:34Erm, they're not just, sort of, able to get out so easily.
01:38And then, once they get to pass a fortnight hole, they start putting them out.
01:42We have to keep an eye on them for the first few days, because anything, they'll go in a hole.
01:47They'll bury themselves in a hole, and pile on top at one another, and we can lose lots of them.
01:52At the very beginning.
01:53But then they settle down, and they, they do alright now.
01:56They're easy to, they're an easy lot, but easy to fetch in this year.
02:00Sometimes they're a bit of a pain, but this year seem fairly...
02:04Do you have to, do you have to round them up?
02:06Yeah.
02:07With a dog up?
02:08We do use the dog once they get a bit stronger.
02:10Right.
02:11But our dog's a little bit stronger self at the minute.
02:13So we tend to use the dog, er, when they get a bit older, and at the minute they're still such a,
02:18you have to be a little bit gentle with them.
02:20Well, I am right back.
02:22Look at this too.
02:23That's me.
02:24With a dog with an aackμο, looks really beautiful, and very amazing.
02:28Now that he entered me, he said, ASMR is here for the dog.
02:34He's putting him to pose as a horse for the dog, man.
02:37So you're really beautiful.
02:39I've ever got hear of?
02:41Well, where is the dog reaching out?
02:42You might be sane because you're doing fire, that's good.
02:45But first I know, I feel like he's really good, and I have to move on.
