Telford company Heaven Skincare has received a Royal Warrant for its products and services, and unveiled new signage at its HQ in Hadley Park this week.
Transcript
00:00We've just had our sign put on the building, which is really, really amazing.
00:07And the Royal Warrant, which is by appointment of Her Majesty the Queen, is for all of our skin care treatments.
00:15I started with a £10 pack of nail extensions. That was it, literally. That was all I could afford.
00:22And my first customer gave me a pound tip.
00:24And I grew the business then, and I started being in Holiday Inns, the Holiday Inn in Telford, and I went into a lot of other hotels.
00:34And I was very successful. I'd made my products by then, but they weren't in particularly good jars and things like that.
00:41So gradually I put all my money from the businesses into my skin care and grew the brand.
00:47I went away to Dubai, and I was very successful in Beatties, or House of Fraser at the time as well.
00:58But it was literally hand-to-mouth, really.
01:01You know, growing a business is very hard, and it takes an awful lot of money.
01:05So really, I had ups and downs, things like that.
01:09And one day I got a phone call from Camilla Parker Balls, as it was.
01:14Not actually her personally, but her aides.
01:16And she phoned up, and her aide did, and said, we're interested in you doing a treatment.
01:23So, and that was my salon in Sheffield.
01:26And so I went off to London, and I did a treatment on her.
01:30And I also did a treatment on the Prince at that time as well.
01:36So I was really happy I got to do both, but I never told anybody.
01:42And now, nearly 19 years later, 2006 that was,
01:47receiving the Royal Warrant means that I can now say I do do those treatments.
