00:53Ikinagulat ng Kamara ang pag-aksyong ito ng Ombudsman sa committee report ng Kamara.

00:58Ikinabahala pa ng ilan na baka maka-apekto ito sa impeachment complaints sa Senate Impeachment Court,

01:03lalo na kung sakaling i-dismiss o ibasura ng Ombudsman ang findings ng Kamara.

01:08Pero sabi ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires,

01:11kung ayaw daw ng Kamara na may maka-apekto sa impeachment laban sa Vice President,

01:15bakit daw isinumitin ng Kamara ang committee report nito sa Ombudsman?

01:19Ang Office of the Ombudsman, pag nakatanggap ng committee report

01:24from both houses, from any of the houses,

01:31from the Senate or from the House of Representatives,

01:34we treat it as a complaint.

01:37We do not treat it as a paperweight or a scratch paper,

01:45natitingnan lang namin.

01:47So sino ang magiging complainant dito?

01:50Ala nga naman ang magiging complainant ang Office of the Ombudsman.

01:54Sinagot ni Martires ang mga akusasyon ng kanyang paggalaw

01:57ay dahil appointee siya ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte

02:01sa dalawang posisyon sa gobyerno.

02:03Hindi ko naman ikirahihiyak,

02:08hindi ko tinatatwa

02:09na ako'y naging associate justice ng Supreme Court dahil kay Digo.

02:15Hindi ko rin itinatatwa

02:19na ako'y naging Ombudsman dahil kay PRRD.

02:24Mula nang ako'y in-appoint ni Digo sa Supreme Court hanggang sa Ombudsman,

02:30niminsan ay hindi nakiusap sa akin si Digo.

02:35Sa mga nagsasabing sana ay patapusin muna ng Ombudsman

02:39ang Senate Impeachment Court sa paglilitis nito.

03:21When our power is only to investigate?

03:34is the power to investigate

03:36and not to prosecute.

03:38The Ombudsman or any investigating body

03:41has to await the result

03:43of the impeachment proceedings.

03:47If the impeachment proceedings will result

03:50in the conviction of the Vice President

03:53then the Ombudsman

03:56or any investigative body

03:58even the DOJ

03:59can find the necessary case now

04:02criminal case

04:03against the Vice President.

04:05But if the Vice President

04:06is acquitted

04:08by the impeachment court

04:11wala kami power

04:14to charge that.
