00:07le writer and director of The Life of Chuck.

00:09And you guys are one of the first audiences

00:11outside of the U.S. to see this movie.

00:13I'm so, so glad that you're here.

00:16This movie means an awful lot to me.

00:18The Life of Chuck was born during lockdown

00:19in April 2020 when I read

00:21Stephen King's incredible short story.

00:23And it kind of felt like the anxiety

00:25of that time was going to be something

00:27I couldn't find a way out of.

00:28But, to my amazement,

00:30when I got to the end of Steve's story,

00:33I was overcome with a sense of hope

00:34and a sense of joy.

00:36And I wanted this movie to exist in the world.

00:39Not only for me to experience it,

00:41but for my kids.

00:43I'm really excited that you guys

00:45are about to experience The Life of Chuck.

00:47And again, you're one of the first people

00:48in the world to meet him.
