This was a crucial contribution in helping Pakistan secure victory.
Aamer Hanif also made his presence felt with the ball, claiming the wicket of Asanka Gurusinha, trapping him leg-before-wicket, showing his all-round abilities. Despite this promising performance, Aamer was not seen again in international cricket until two years later.
