00:06Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're revealing the most explosive testimony and shocking moments
00:11from the seven-week-long federal trafficking trial of Sean Diddy Combs.
00:15Babysitter for his dog called him and said, your car's on fire.
00:19Warning, certain information contains distressing details. Cassie tells her story.
00:24For the first time in six years, Cassie coming face-to-face with Diddy, telling the jury in
00:31graphic detail about what they say is the darker side of the rap mogul over the span of their 10-year
00:37relationship. Cassie Ventura's multi-day testimony provided several shocking detailed accounts of
00:43alleged abuse and manipulation at the hands of Sean Diddy Combs. Today they didn't have to use their
00:48imagination, though. It got real in that courtroom today when the juror is not the public, not the
00:53press, when the jurors saw still screenshots from these freak-offs. Cassie described being
00:59coerced into illicit substance-fueled sex parties known as freak-offs, where she was forced to engage
01:04in indecent acts. She said she was passed around and objectified by men and with other men she didn't
01:12want to be having sex with on Sean Combs's whim. She said Combs initially handled hirings for the
01:18freak-offs, but the responsibility later fell to her. She described it as a, quote,
01:23job, claiming she had little time for anything else. The freak-offs took up so much of her time
01:28that it stifled her music career. Cassie also alleged that she suffered from the forced encounters,
01:34including chronic infections. Saying here after the freak-off the room was pretty bad
01:38off, the candle wax, the all over the place, and then she described it having a pungent smell.
01:44She further testified that Combs would film the x-rated entanglements and use the recordings to
01:49blackmail her. Those videos specifically of the freak-offs. She testified that Diddy threatened
01:55to release them when he got angry. The prosecution had Cassie recount the alleged history of physical
02:00abuse she said she endured at the hands of Combs, including an indecent assault in 2018 after they
02:06split. I just remember crying and saying no, but it was very fast. I don't know if he noticed.
02:12She claims members of his staff not only witnessed violent incidents, but also the aftermath.
02:18Cassie recalled one instance where a security guard was purportedly so affected by her appearance
02:23that he broke down in tears. She felt, quote, scared, trapped, like how do you get out of this
02:28situation? In addition to stating that she saw Diddy assault others, Cassie reiterated an allegation
02:34from her civil suit that Diddy threatened to blow up Kid Cuddy's car after discovering their
02:39relationship. So he then organized a dinner where they sat down and discussed it. He threatened to
02:44blow up the car. He threatened that he would not be in the country when it happened, according to her
02:49testimony. Not long after the threat, Cuddy's car exploded in his driveway. In 2012, Cassie alleges
02:56that Combs was so enraged over her dating Cuddy that he blew up Cuddy's car. Through a spokesperson,
03:03the rapper, born Scott Miss Cuddy, told the New York Times, quote, this is all true.
03:08Cassie also disclosed that she received a $20 million settlement from Diddy just 24 hours
03:14after filing her November 2023 civil lawsuit against him. When Ventura finished her direct
03:19testimony, he turned to his family members assembled in the spectators gallery and mouthed to them,
03:25I'm OK. Cassie's cross-examination. The defense's cross-examination of Cassie Ventura saw Diddy's
03:33legal team focus on the pair's past relationship, painting it as initially loving and consensual.
03:38The defense began establishing the love that Combs and Cassie had at the beginning of their
03:43relationship, how things really started, then escalated. Cassie would go on to describe their
03:47romance as, quote, intense, quote, fast-paced, and at first, quote, sweet, emphasizing Diddy's
03:54charm and the attention he gave her. The defense introduced texts and emails between the two,
03:59filled with affection and jealousy. So this is them just trying to take the guilt off of Combs and
04:04putting it on Ventura instead of her insecurities about the relationship. There were also messages
04:10brought forth that allegedly showed Cassie's enthusiasm for freak-offs. And the defense showed
04:14another message from 2009 where she told Diddy, quote, I'm always ready to freak off. Cassie stated
04:20that she agreed to them to please Diddy, but added, quote, there's a lot more to that. She testified
04:26these encounters became less about love and more about control. Jurors are human beings, and when they see this,
04:31they're going to cast some doubts, I think, have some doubts in their minds over whether this was
04:36consensual. The defense, however, argued that she willingly partook of her own accord, with Cassie even
04:42admitting to participating in a freak-off while she was dating Kid Cudi. Cassie also clarified that the
04:47baby oil used was not, quote, laced with anything, something that had been rumored. The defense also
04:53pressed Cassie on both her own and Diddy's state of mind during the violent incidents, including the one at
04:58the Intercontinental. Cassie acknowledged struggling with substance use and disclosed that Diddy once
05:03OD'd on painkillers at a party in 2012. But what we seem to be seeing the defense trying to establish
05:09here from both sides is state of mind and that they were both on a lot of drugs during this period.
05:16She revealed that she checked into a treatment facility in 2013 to address her mental health
05:21and PTSD, but firmly denied that it was for, quote, love or sex addiction. Meanwhile, prosecutors
05:27alleged that the defense is deliberately dragging out the cross-examination of Cassie, who is nearly
05:32nine months pregnant, in hopes she'll go into labor, thus forcing a mistrial.
05:37In a letter to the judge overnight, prosecutors said that defense lawyers are purposely trying to
05:42prolong their cross-examination of Ventura into next week in hopes of risking a mistrial.
05:48Cassie's former friend takes the stand. One witness who testified today was Carrie Morgan,
05:53Ventura's best friend of 17 years. She was friends with Ventura before she started dating Combs
05:59and throughout most of their relationships. Cassie Ventura's former friend Carrie Morgan
06:03detailed a long history of alleged abuse from Diddy that she claims to have witnessed firsthand.
06:09Morgan testified to witnessing several violent incidents, one in Los Angeles, where she said she
06:14saw Combs push and possibly hit Cassie, and another in Jamaica.
06:18It's there that Morgan says she heard, quote, guttural, terrifying screams before seeing
06:22Diddy dragging Ventura. Morgan alleges that she and Combs chased after Cassie in golf carts
06:27when she fled. Morgan says she found Ventura first, and the two hid in a ditch.
06:32Ventura got up and ran into the woods, and she, Morgan, eventually found Ventura, and they
06:37were hiding in a ditch while Combs and another friend was looking for them.
06:40She further testified about being assaulted by Diddy herself, alleging the music mogul struck
06:45her with a coat hanger during a confrontation.
06:46Well, there's also evidence that he beat both of them, one of them, with a coat hanger.
06:51This is certainly not useful evidence for a defendant who is attempting to undermine these
06:56questions of whether he used force, fraud, or coercion to get people to go along with his
07:00behavior.
07:01She states that Combs later paid her $30,000 to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
07:06Morgan also revealed that Combs was jealous of Cassie spending time with actor Michael B.
07:10Jordan, and often accused her of cheating. On Redirect, Morgan clarified that the alleged
07:16attack in Jamaica was not jealousy-related, but instead a dispute over how long Ventura
07:21was taking in the bathroom.
07:22On cross-examination, the defense didn't even try to challenge her account. Instead, focused
07:27on times she witnessed Combs being loving with Cassie Ventura.
07:31Diddy's former assistant talks.
07:33They need employees. They need people that work for Combs that were allegedly carrying out
07:38illegal activity at his behest.
07:41David James, a former assistant to Sean Diddy Combs, testified about his experiences while
07:46working for the music mogul between 2007 and 2009.
07:49James delivered compelling and at times emotional testimony yesterday, giving jurors an inside
07:55look at Combs' luxurious lifestyle with ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and their rocky relationship.
08:02James recalled an early conversation with Cassie Ventura where he suggested she leave him,
08:06and she responded, quote, I can't, I can't get out.
08:09James confirmed he was regularly tasked with setting up hotel rooms for the couple's freak-offs,
08:14which involved a bag containing pill bottles and personal items like lubricant and baby oil.
08:19He says he used cash from Combs' quote, personal bag, rather than seeking company reimbursement.
08:25Remember, the government says that Combs was running his businesses and carrying out illegal activity.
08:30James also described an incident that made him feel personally endangered.
08:34After picking up food from a diner and spotting Suge Knight,
08:37James said Combs demanded that he be driven to the diner.
08:41With Diddy sitting in the backseat with, quote, three handguns in his lap,
08:45James testified that the moment left him, quote, shook up.
08:48But when they arrived, Knight had left.
08:50The assistant says he turns around, looks in the backseat,
08:53and Diddy has three handguns on his lap.
08:55That is what he testified today.
08:57They go back to the diner.
08:59Suge Knight is no longer there.
09:00Under cross-examination, James acknowledged a past incident where he grabbed the wrists of a female chef
09:06in an argument at Combs' Star Island home.
09:08When he told Diddy what had happened, he said Combs responded, quote,
09:12you can't be putting your hands on women.
09:14Cassie's mother speaks.
09:16We also heard from Cassie's mother, who testified about a payment that she wired to Diddy
09:21after Cassie told her that he was threatening to release two sex tapes.
09:25Regina Ventura, mother of Cassie Ventura, testified that in December 2011,
09:30she received a phone call from her daughter, who said Diddy was threatening to release explicit tapes
09:35and have her and her then-boyfriend, Kid Cudi, physically harmed.
09:39Regina also testified that Combs contacted her around the same time,
09:42demanding $20,000 to, quote, recoup money he claimed to have invested in Cassie.
09:47She said that Diddy demanded that she pay $20,000, as you said,
09:52because he was upset that Cassie was with another man, that would be Kid Cudi.
09:56And he said, I spent $20,000 on your daughter, so you better pay it back.
10:00Regina said he appeared angry about Cassie's relationship with Cudi
10:03when she and her husband took out a home equity loan to raise the money and sent it to Combs.
10:08The funds were returned without explanation just five days later.
10:12But she talked about taking photos of her daughter in 2011,
10:15when she came home to Connecticut for the Christmas holidays,
10:18and that she was shocked to see the bruises on her daughter's body,
10:21that she hadn't been aware that her daughter's relationship with Combs
10:24had been violent at this point.
10:26Exotic Dancer Punisher testifies.
10:28Mr. Hayes told the jury that he got his nickname playing basketball.
10:32But his photos, they seem to tell a different story for why he may be using that name today.
10:39Sheree Hayes, a former exotic dancer known as The Punisher,
10:42testified that he was hired by Cassie Ventura in the fall of 2012
10:46for what he believed would be a birthday striptease.
10:49Upon arriving, Hayes said he was told that the couple instead preferred creating a,
10:54quote, sexy scene involving baby oil.
10:56He was given a stack of cash and instructed to follow Ventura's lead,
11:00while hearing directions from her, quote, husband.
11:02This was his first foray as an escort,
11:05but says he would never participate in the so-called freak-offs
11:08had he thought Cassie was being coerced.
11:10Hayes stated he was hired between 8 and 12 more times,
11:14with some occurring on consecutive days.
11:16During these encounters, Hayes said Cassie never refused a direction from Combs,
11:20and he observed no signs of discomfort, violence, filming, or intoxication from either party.
11:26He said it didn't seem as though Cassie was there against her will.
11:29He did, however, mention feeling, quote,
11:31pressure himself, recalling that in 2016, he was unable to perform,
11:36after which he was never contacted again.
11:38When questioned about developing feelings for Ventura,
11:42Hayes denied having any emotional connection or relationship with her.
11:45Was it intimidating sitting in front of him telling the story?
11:49It was not, because, you know, the story is honestly what happened.
11:54Kid Cudi's explosive testimony.
11:57Rapper Kid Cudi testified today about two incidents that he alleges involved Sean Combs.
12:03Kid Cudi, born Scott Mescady, testified about his brief relationship with Cassie Ventura,
12:07which began in 2011.
12:10He said Ventura confided in him about Combs' abusive behavior.
12:13He went on to say that after Diddy allegedly found out about their relationship,
12:17Ventura warned Cudi that he was enraged.
12:20Cudi and Cassie then talked with one of Combs' employees,
12:23who appeared shaken,
12:24and said he and his associates were inside Cudi's home.
12:27Allegedly, Diddy later admitted he was there,
12:30claiming he just wanted to talk.
12:32When Cudi returned home,
12:33he noticed his security cameras had been moved,
12:36gifts were unwrapped,
12:37and his dog was locked in a bathroom.
12:39He reported the incident to police.
12:41A month later,
12:42his car was set on fire in what he described as a, quote,
12:45Molotov cocktail attack.
12:47Babysitter for his dog called him and said,
12:49your car's on fire.
12:50And when he arrived,
12:51the police were there taking photos,
12:54taking evidence at the time,
12:56but no one has been charged in connection to that incident, Morgan.
12:59Though he suspected Combs,
13:01the defense countered that the only DNA recovered belonged to a woman.
13:05Cudi said he never received a follow-up from investigators.
13:08He later confronted Combs at a hotel,
13:10describing him as a, quote,
13:12Marvel supervillain,
13:13as he denied involvement in the fire.
13:15They all met at the Soho house,
13:18made amends.
13:19Cudi asked him about the car at the time,
13:21and Combs denied knowing anything about it.
13:24But Kid Cudi did say that years later,
13:27Combs apologized to him.
13:29Cudi and Ventura ended their relationship in late 2011
13:32due to the, quote,
13:33drama and fears for their safety.
13:35He further admitted that he felt like Cassie, quote,
13:38played him.
13:39Diddy's former employee tells all.
13:41Today, jurors heard from Capricorn Clark.
13:43She was a former employee of Combs
13:45who testified that the music mogul kidnapped and threatened her
13:49during her time working for him.
13:51Capricorn Clark,
13:52a former employee of Sean Diddy Combs,
13:54delivered explosive testimony
13:56to start the third week
13:57of the music mogul's federal trial.
13:59Clark claimed that on her first day working for Diddy,
14:02he threatened her about her past ties to Death Row Records,
14:05saying that if he found out she had ties to Suge Knight,
14:07he'd, quote,
14:08have to kill her.
14:09He told me he didn't know
14:10that I had anything to do with Suge Knight,
14:13and if anything happened,
14:14he would have to kill me.
14:17Clark also recounted a time
14:19when a diamond jewelry bag
14:20in her possession
14:21went missing en route to Miami.
14:22She claimed Diddy once accused her
14:24of stealing diamond jewelry.
14:27She said Combs allegedly left her behind
14:29where she was picked up by his security,
14:31locked in an empty office,
14:33and subjected to five straight days of polygraph tests.
14:36Clark also telling the jury
14:37that a large man repeatedly administered
14:40lie detector tests to her
14:41on suspicion that she stole jewelry loaned to Combs.
14:45One of the men administering the tests
14:47allegedly warned her that if she failed,
14:50they were going to, quote,
14:51throw her into the East River.
14:53She also said Combs physically assaulted her
14:55after a chef she confided in
14:57told him that she hated her job.
14:58She said Sean Combs charged at her
15:01and kept shoving her with his hand.
15:03She demonstrated for the jury
15:04until pushing her all the way out of his house
15:07in Miami Beach
15:08when she said that she hates it here
15:10and forced her out of the house.
15:12Clark's testimony also further outlined
15:14Diddy's alleged control
15:16over Cassie Ventura's singing career,
15:18saying he micromanaged everything
15:20from her looks to her opportunities.
15:22In December 2011,
15:24Clark alleges Combs showed up at her home in a rage,
15:26armed with a gun,
15:27after discovering Cassie was seeing Kid Cudi.
15:30She purports that he said, quote,
15:32get dressed, we're going to go kill him,
15:34and essentially kidnapped her.
15:35She says that Combs showed up to her apartment
15:37early in the morning with a gun and kidnapped her.
15:40Clark says she stayed in the car
15:42once they arrived at Cudi's house
15:43and secretly warned Ventura via a burner phone.
15:46Testifying that a short time later,
15:48Cudi's car pulled up next to them
15:50and then took off.
15:51On cross-examination,
15:53Clark admitted that while Cassie had talent,
15:55she felt her live performances were lacking
15:57and that her substance use
15:59was interfering with opportunities.
16:00Breaking down in court,
16:07Clark recalled messages she sent to Combs
16:09in 2014 and 2015 begging for forgiveness.
16:13She repeatedly tried to get back
16:16into Combs' good graces to work,
16:20even up and including in 2024.
16:23She described feeling like a protector for Combs,
16:25saying he had no one else looking out for him.
16:28Her explanation was, I had to work.
16:31I had to put food on the table.
16:32She said that she has a son with autism
16:33who is nonverbal.
16:35She has to provide for him.
16:36Former assistant testifies under a pseudonym.
16:39A former assistant of Combs
16:40taking the stand under the pseudonym Mia,
16:43telling jurors about the times
16:44Combs allegedly forced himself onto her sexually.
16:47A former assistant to Diddy,
16:49testifying under the pseudonym Mia
16:50to protect her identity,
16:52described a chaotic and toxic work environment
16:54during her time as both his personal assistant
16:56and director of development at Revolt Films.
16:59She said that she really worked in fear
17:01and that sometimes she would go days on end, Kate,
17:04without sleeping.
17:06And that in one instance,
17:07when she was working for Combs in Las Vegas
17:10while he had nightclub appearances,
17:11that she went five days with no sleep.
17:14In her testimony,
17:15Mia accused Combs of repeated violence,
17:18recalling instances where he allegedly
17:20threw her against a wall,
17:21into a pool,
17:22and chucked an ice bucket at her head.
17:24She witnessed abuse,
17:25that she was abused by Combs,
17:27violence, sexual assault.
17:30She also alleges that he indecently assaulted her,
17:33quote, multiple times,
17:34including once after her 40th birthday celebration.
17:37Prosecutors allege that Sean Diddy Combs
17:39used his power and his money
17:41to run a criminal enterprise
17:42and coerce women into sex.
17:45And they're hoping that witnesses
17:46who were once in his inner circle
17:48will help prove that.
17:49Mia also allegedly witnessed Combs
17:51physically abuse his former partner,
17:53Cassie Ventura,
17:54recounting incidents where he purportedly
17:56threw her to the ground,
17:58cracked her head open,
17:59and once chased her during a 2012 trip
18:01to Turks and Caicos,
18:02where Ventura allegedly feared for her life.
18:04Mia also recounted a story about Combs
18:07coming to Ventura's apartment one day.
18:10He was very upset.
18:11He couldn't reach her.
18:12Ultimately, he ended up attacking her
18:14and hitting her head on the side of a bed.
18:17Mia described seeing Ventura
18:19with many visible injuries,
18:20adding that she would often hide in hotels
18:22until she healed.
18:24She testified that Diddy maintained control
18:26through fear, secrecy,
18:27and the belief that his, quote,
18:29authority was above the police.
18:31And she said his behavior could be, quote,
18:33unpredictable and terrifying.
18:35Mia also recalled being responsible
18:37for preparing and cleaning hotel rooms
18:39for her ex-boss.
18:40She says she often found the rooms in disarray,
18:43with candle wax, baby oil,
18:45and blood of various sorts,
18:46ultimately describing the freak-off aftermath
18:49as a, quote, nightmare.
18:51Combs has pleaded not guilty
18:52to all of the charges in the case.
18:55Cross-examination of former Diddy employee.
18:57Prosecutors called the defense tactics
18:59harassing and humiliating,
19:01saying they feared it could have
19:03broader implications for victims in other cases.
19:06On the 14th day of Sean Diddy Combs' federal trial,
19:09a former employee under the pseudonym Mia
19:12faced cross-examination from the defense.
19:14She was questioned about messages she sent to Combs
19:16after her employment ended,
19:17where she offered support and affection.
19:19Mia was confronted with years
19:22of her flattering social media posts
19:24that called Sean Combs legend or mentor,
19:27and all of these loving text messages
19:29that showed she stayed in touch with him
19:32for six years after she left her job in 2017.
19:37Despite no longer working for him,
19:39she says she still felt, quote,
19:40psychologically under his control.
19:42She described feeling immense, quote,
19:44blame and shame after Combs allegedly threatened
19:47to tell his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura
19:49about an incident between them.
19:50She is a delicate witness that she's now
19:52starting to embrace the trauma
19:55and the psychological trauma
19:56that she had been dealing with
19:58that we're seeing and we're witnessing
20:00happening right before our eyes.
20:02She also added that his inner circle
20:04routinely ignored Diddy's misconduct.
20:06Mia testified that Combs repeatedly stole her phone
20:09and saw private messages she sent to Cassie.
20:11She alleges he even placed tracking devices
20:14on Cassie's car.
20:15He's put tracking devices on her car.
20:18I'm not sure what he was capable of.
20:20I was terrified.
20:22When asked why she never reported
20:23any of the alleged misconduct,
20:25including serious indecent assaults,
20:27she said she feared being fired,
20:29disbelieved, or labeled, quote, crazy.
20:32Mia added, quote,
20:33I just knew his power and his wrath.
20:36The defense grilled Mia on why she didn't report
20:38her abuse allegations,
20:40but she fired back,
20:41telling the court that she was brainwashed
20:43after years of psychological manipulation.
20:46Hotel security guard speaks.
20:48Jurors got a chance to hear from the hotel's
20:50former security supervisor earlier on today,
20:53and he testified about the $100,000 payoff
20:56that Combs made to purchase that incriminating video.
21:01Eddie Garcia, a security officer
21:03at the Intercontinental Hotel in 2016,
21:06testified under immunity
21:07after invoking his Fifth Amendment right
21:09against self-incrimination.
21:11Garcia recounted being told of a domestic dispute,
21:14which involved Sean Diddy Combs and Cassie Ventura,
21:16and viewed the surveillance footage.
21:18Eddie Garcia testified the phone,
21:21well, it started ringing, and a lot.
21:23Garcia alleges he was contacted
21:25by Combs' chief of staff, Christina Coram,
21:27who asked if she could get the surveillance footage
21:29of the incident.
21:30After telling her she would need
21:31to go through official channels,
21:33he says Combs later called the security desk
21:35sounding, quote, very nervous.
21:37Combs makes it very clear
21:38that he's worried about this video.
21:39He says he sounds nervous.
21:41He says, you've got to talk to my manager.
21:42He allegedly offered to, quote,
21:44take care of Garcia, who alerted his boss.
21:47Garcia, he then went to his boss
21:49and told him Diddy was willing to pay.
21:51His boss just said $50,000.
21:54Once financial compensation was agreed upon,
21:56he said that his boss downloaded the video
21:58for Diddy the next day.
21:59Garcia testified that he signed
22:01a non-disclosure agreement
22:03on Combs' company letterhead,
22:04confirming it was the only copy.
22:06Combs repeatedly calls him his angel,
22:09and it's great that he's doing this,
22:11but we have to be on the same page
22:13according to his testimony.
22:15He also allegedly spoke with Ventura,
22:17who assured him she, quote,
22:18wanted this to go away too.
22:20Garcia testified that Combs paid him $100,000,
22:23which he said he split with his boss
22:25and another officer on duty.
22:27Cassie's longtime friend called to testify.
22:29Did Sean P. Diddy Combs dangle a woman
22:32from the 17th floor balcony
22:34of this LA apartment building?
22:36Brianna Bongolin, a friend of Cassie Ventura,
22:39testified about a violent 2016 encounter with Diddy.
22:42She alleged that he held her over a 17-story balcony
22:45before throwing her onto patio furniture,
22:47causing injuries and lasting psychological effects.
22:50Sean Combs comes and lifts her up,
22:53telling her, you know what the F you did,
22:55and lifts her onto the railing.
22:57She said her feet were dangling over.
23:00Sean Combs then lifted her off the railing,
23:04threw her onto some furniture.
23:06Combs allegedly yelled at her, quote,
23:08do you know what the F you did?
23:10Bongolin said she still doesn't know
23:11what Diddy was upset about.
23:13She also recounted multiple alleged disturbing episodes
23:16at Ventura's apartment, where she often stayed.
23:19In one alarming incident,
23:20she purports that he burst in
23:22and threw a knife in Cassie's direction.
23:24I just remember seeing a knife
23:26get thrown in her direction, referring to Ventura.
23:29The prosecutor asked,
23:30how did Cassie react
23:32when the knife was thrown in her direction?
23:34Bongolin responded, she threw it back.
23:37She also recalled a 2016 beach photo shoot with Cassie,
23:41where she recalled Diddy getting in her face
23:42and threatening her, saying, quote,
23:44I'm the devil and I could kill you.
23:46Bongolin admitted she never reported these incidents
23:49because she was afraid of Combs.
23:50She also testified that she regularly used substances
23:53with Cassie, describing it as, quote, a problem.
23:56It's like anything else.
23:57When a person is under the influence,
23:59the question mark is whether or not
24:00they're seeing what's real or what's perceived.
24:02Cross-examination of Brianna Bongolin.
24:04Brianna Bongolin just wrapped up her second day of testimony
24:08and the defense team accused her of lying
24:10about Combs' allegedly holding her
24:13over a 17-story balcony back in 2016.
24:16During cross-examination,
24:18Brianna Bongolin admitted that she continued
24:19seeing Cassie and Diddy after the alleged balcony incident,
24:22but claimed she, quote, kept her distance.
24:25When confronted with a text where she was offering
24:27to get Combs a hoodie, she explained, quote,
24:29we were trying to be cool.
24:31Combs' attorney also challenged the timeline,
24:33citing travel records that suggested his client
24:35was in New Jersey at the time
24:37of Bongolin's balcony allegation.
24:39Defense counsel has really been trying
24:40to tear her testimony apart,
24:42attacking her credibility
24:43as well as inconsistent statements.
24:46When pressed with, quote,
24:47you agree that one person can't be
24:49in two places at the same time,
24:51Bongolin replied, quote,
24:52in theory, yeah, I can't answer that one.
24:55In response to the accusation that she filed
24:57a $10 million lawsuit for financial gain,
24:59Bongolin testified, quote,
25:01I care about justice.
25:02She wanted to testify to seek justice.
25:06Diddy accuser Jane tells her story.
25:08According to the prosecution,
25:09she had direct experience with these freak-off parties
25:13that Combs had, these kind of drug-fueled,
25:15days-long parties.
25:17Testifying under a pseudonym,
25:19Jane described a pattern of control,
25:21coercion, and manipulation during her relationship
25:23with Sean Diddy Combs.
25:25She recalled a substance-fueled trip to the Bahamas,
25:28with Combs providing her, quote, doses.
25:30After the trip, she says he wired her $10,000
25:33to compensate for her time away from work as an influencer.
25:37In 2021, Combs allegedly introduced the idea
25:40of her sleeping with other men.
25:42Jane testified that another man was involved
25:44in their intimate encounters 90% of the time,
25:47and although she agreed at first,
25:49she claims to have told him she wanted it to stop.
25:52She purports feeling obligated to, quote,
25:54perform these nights for him,
25:56particularly because he was paying her rent.
25:58When asked about hotel nights or freak-offs,
26:01she described them as encounters involving a male entertainer
26:04that sometimes extended beyond 24 hours.
26:08It could be very detailed and very graphic
26:10in the coming days, Morgan.
26:12Jane returns to the stand.
26:14What did Jane say on the witness stand today?
26:17Oh, she said a lot, Eva.
26:22On day 19 of Sean Diddy Combs' federal trial,
26:25the woman testifying under the pseudonym Jane
26:27continued her direct examination.
26:29She read texts in which Combs pressured her
26:31to send, quote,
26:32bad girl messages,
26:33despite her expressing fears
26:35that he was keeping incriminating footage
26:37of their explicit encounters.
26:39Text messages from 2023 introduced today in court
26:42reveal just how badly Jane wanted out.
26:44I don't want to be used and locked in a room
26:46to perform and fulfill your fantasies.
26:48I'm coming to the realization of what this really is.
26:52Jane testified that she felt manipulated and degraded,
26:55saying she no longer wanted to play a role
26:57she described as, quote,
26:58dark and, quote,
26:59sleazy.
27:00I'm not a porn star.
27:02I'm not an animal.
27:03I need a break.
27:04Frustrated that he was seeing other women
27:06while continuing to plan hotel nights with her,
27:09Jane said she felt she had to, quote,
27:11earn basic affection.
27:12She further described an alleged violent altercation
27:15after confronting Combs about another woman,
27:17claiming he physically assaulted her
27:19and damaged her home
27:20before sending an assistant
27:21with up to $12,000 in cash.
27:24During one incident she referred to as a, quote,
27:26sobriety party,
27:28Jane said she vomited after intercourse with two men,
27:31but was then pushed into having relations with a third.
27:34She says she later developed infections.
27:36Broke down in court while describing encounters
27:38with multiple sexual partners
27:40during so-called hotel nights with Combs,
27:43similar to those now infamous freak-offs.
27:46Jane also testified that Cassie Ventura's
27:482023 lawsuit felt eerily similar to her own experience.
27:52She almost fainted when she learned
27:54about Cassie Ventura's lawsuit against Combs,
27:57testifying it was like reading her own story.
28:00She says she was at Diddy's home
28:02when CNN released footage showing him assaulting Cassie
28:05and helped him craft his public apology.
28:07I was f***ed up.
28:10I mean, I hit rock bottom.
28:13But I made no excuses.
28:15Somber, serious, seemingly facing the music
28:18and his own disturbing actions.
28:21Despite everything,
28:22Jane testified that they continued to communicate
28:25until his arrest.
28:26Sean Combs is still not only just paying her rent,
28:29but also paying her legal bills.
28:32Cross-examination of Jane.
28:33Oh, it was the first day under cross-examination
28:36and it was sassy and spicy.
28:38During the multi-day cross-examination
28:41by Sean Diddy Combs' defense attorney,
28:43Tenny Garagos,
28:44Jane acknowledged that she regretted some of her choices,
28:46but emphasized they were made under emotional pressure.
28:49The defense was trying to show that Jane was a willing,
28:53maybe even eager participant
28:54in the kind of sexual lifestyle
28:57that Sean Combs was pushing.
28:59And they saw occasions when she would text Sean Combs
29:05about nights they could get slutty together.
29:09She admitted to taking charge in the so-called freak-offs,
29:12going so far as to personally pick the escorts who took part.
29:15She also testified about not sometimes liking these escorts
29:20and being attracted to them,
29:22and that she, on her own accord, she testified,
29:24Jane, that she would sometimes dismiss these escorts
29:28and that Combs would be fine with it.
29:30Jane also revealed that she loved to bathe Diddy
29:32and watch his favorite show, Dateline.
29:35She testified that Combs was open early on
29:37about his polyamorous lifestyle,
29:39which she initially accepted, but later struggled with.
29:42Jane also testifying about the chemistry
29:44between herself, Combs, and a male escort, Paul,
29:48saying it was so strong,
29:49they nicknamed it the trifecta.
29:51She especially had trouble with his public relationship
29:54with young Miami.
29:56Jane went on to express frustration over unequal treatment,
29:59noting that other women received lavish gifts and trips
30:02while she did not,
30:03even when she complied with Combs' requests.
30:05And then Tenney Garrigo says,
30:07yeah, but you got a lot of gifts, didn't you?
30:08Did you get a Chanel bag?
30:10And she looked at her and said,
30:11no, I only got trauma.
30:13What about a Bottega Veneta bag?
30:15And she sort of recoiled at that.
30:19Financially, Jane confirmed Combs wired her
30:21over $150,000 during their time together
30:24and invested $20,000 into her dress business.
30:28Jurors are really going to have to wrestle with the fact
30:30that he's paying her legal fees,
30:32he's paying her rent present day
30:34while she's pretty much testifying against him.
30:38Jane spoke about a hotel night around New Year's 2022,
30:42describing it as lasting roughly three days
30:44and involving three men.
30:45She also testified about using the promise of a hotel night
30:49to convince Combs to end a trip with another woman,
30:52Young Miami,
30:53calling it the first time she, quote,
30:54pulled that card.
30:55If you don't come home now,
30:57we're not going to do anything you want to do.
31:01Jane telling the court,
31:02that was the first time I was so upset
31:04that I pulled that card.
31:06The jury was also shown angry texts Jane sent
31:09after discovering Combs had taken another woman
31:11on a birthday trip to Turks and Caicos.
31:13She says they reconciled when Combs planned
31:15a Turks and Caicos trip for just the two of them.
31:18Las Vegas trip with Icon Rapper.
31:21Specifically discussing an issue from 2024
31:24when Jane testified that she flew to Las Vegas
31:27with a friend of hers who's a famous rapper.
31:30Jane's testimony about a 2024 trip to Las Vegas
31:33stirred significant attention in the courtroom.
31:36During direct examination,
31:37she described traveling in January 2024
31:40while briefly separated from Sean Diddy Combs
31:43on a private jet with an unnamed Icon Rapper
31:45and his entourage.
31:46The trip was part of a birthday celebration.
31:49That night, according to Jane,
31:51the group watched a woman engage in sexual activity
31:53with a male adult entertainer known as Antoine,
31:56whom she knew from prior encounters with Diddy.
31:58She further testified that the high-profile rapper
32:01asked for other male escort recommendations.
32:03Jane went on to say that she had never been intimate
32:05with Antoine outside of her hotel nights with Combs.
32:08However, after she reconciled with him later that year,
32:11he accused her of being unfaithful.
32:14As for the identity of the Icon Rapper,
32:16defense attorney Mark Agnifolo pushed for the names
32:18of those present during the Las Vegas encounter
32:20to be disclosed.
32:22Defense attorney Mark Agnifolo argued
32:24that they should go on the record with their real name
32:27so that when someone hears about testimony
32:28who's outside of the trial
32:30and they might have information about that testimony
32:33that they can come forward.
32:35However, assistant U.S. attorney Maureen Comey objected,
32:38arguing that doing so would amount to an effort
32:40to, quote, harass and intimidate the witness.
32:43Judge Arun Subramanian ultimately ruled
32:45that the January 2024 incident
32:47was not directly tied to the trafficking charges
32:50against Sean Combs,
32:51and therefore the rapper involved
32:52did not in fact need to be named.
32:55They're arguing that this is an infringement
32:57on Jane's privacy
32:59because these are people that she's connected to
33:01and events that she participated in.
33:03Jury shown explicit messages and videos.
33:06Today, the jury in New York City's most famous trial
33:09of the moment, Sean Diddy Combs,
33:11viewing real-life footage of the infamous sex parties
33:14known as freak-offs.
33:15The realigned jury in Sean Diddy Combs' criminal trial
33:19was presented with a series of records, messages,
33:22and most notably, explicit video footage
33:24of the so-called freak-offs.
33:26These are the videos that depicted Cassie Ventura
33:29with male escorts.
33:31And these videos, explicit though they are,
33:34are at the heart of the prosecutor's case.
33:37These were presented by summary witnesses Ananya Sankar
33:40and U.S. Attorney's Office Special Agent Deliasa Penland,
33:44who were called by the government
33:45to help clarify previous witness testimony.
33:47The graphs, the charts that we spoke of yesterday,
33:50where there are locations, dates, names,
33:53flight records of people who were possibly involved
33:57in these alleged freak-offs or hotel nights,
34:00as Jane testified to last week.
34:02Jurors reviewed documentation supporting
34:04a purported meeting between Combs, Cassie Ventura,
34:07and male escorts at hotels with travel and lodging expenses
34:10and damages charged to Combs' credit card.
34:13The jury saw hotel records detailing a 2012 hotel stay
34:16where the rap mogul racked up more than $46,000
34:19in room damage fees, all paid for by Combs' company.
34:24Additional travel invoices and messages from 2012 and 2013
34:28showed Ventura being flown across the country,
34:31as well as text exchanges arranging freak-offs
34:33with multiple men.
34:34The videos came with hotel receipts,
34:37credit card statements, travel records
34:40that helped give the jury a full picture
34:43of how Sean Combs allegedly got her
34:47and male escorts to different hotel rooms
34:50for the purposes of these sexual encounters.
34:53One 2013 thread showed Cassie asking Diddy
34:56whether he had recorded a particular encounter
34:58on his phone.
34:59The jury was then shown actual video clips
35:02from explicit encounters,
35:03marking the first time they viewed moving images
35:05rather than stills or audio.
35:07Behind these doors, a jury's seeing for the first time
35:10the world's been talking about for months,
35:13videos of those notorious so-called freak-offs
35:15involving Sean Diddy Combs.
35:18The jurors donned headphones
35:19and watched approximately 10 minutes of video footage
35:22depicting the X-rated encounters involving Diddy,
35:24Cassie, and male escorts.
35:26It's reported that the courtroom fell silent
35:28as faint moans from the footage leaked
35:30through the headphones.
35:32The gallery was not allowed to see or hear
35:35these explicit videos, but as the excerpts played,
35:39we could faintly hear the sound of music
35:42and moaning noises.
35:44Special agent takes the stand.
35:46The prosecution's final witness,
35:48a special agent with Homeland Security
35:50returning to the stand.
35:52Homeland Security Investigations' Special Agent,
35:54Joseph Cercello, continued his testimony
35:56on the 28th day of Sean Combs' federal trial.
35:59He confirmed the existence of numerous explicit videos
36:02involving Combs,
36:03Jane, a pseudonymous accuser who dated Diddy
36:05from 2021 to 2024,
36:08and various other men.
36:10They were known as freak-offs, hotel nights,
36:12or wild king nights,
36:13and there was one including just weeks
36:16before Combs' arrest there.
36:18The jury viewed more than 12 minutes of these videos,
36:21which spanned dates from late 2021 through 2022,
36:24and were referenced in prosecution summary charts.
36:27They're trying to show the sexual acts in the videos
36:30are the result of a coordinated criminal activity
36:32by Combs and multiple people who worked for him.
36:35Cercello also reviewed detailed records
36:37from multiple trips Jane took with Combs,
36:40including flights, hotel stays,
36:41and credit card transactions often funded by Combs' company,
36:44Bad Boy Entertainment, or staff.
36:47One September 2023 trip to New York
36:49included hotel bookings for Jane
36:51and an entertainer named Sly,
36:53with Jane receiving $5,000 from Combs' account manager.
36:57He's giving us the text messages,
36:59the flight logs, the hotel reservations,
37:01and how we all connect in real time.
37:03Additional messages and booking records from that period
37:06show Diddy coordinating logistics with his staff,
37:08inquiring about escorts through the company Cowboys for Angels,
37:12and organizing hotel stays.
37:13Because to prosecutors, this is the case.
37:17It's the hotel invoices, the travel arrangements,
37:20the receipts for damages paid to the hotel rooms,
37:23the arranging of male escorts
37:26and booking them with Cowboys for Angels.
37:28For a January 2023 hotel night in Los Angeles,
37:32Combs was seen arranging for three entertainers,
37:34sending Jane $15,000,
37:37and discussing plans for the evening.
37:39Records also show texts between Jane and Diddy
37:41ahead of an October 2023 sobriety party,
37:44with Jane expressing alleged emotional distress
37:47and reluctance to engage in the X-rated activities.
37:50Combs has denied running a criminal enterprise
37:52and has pleaded not guilty to charges
37:54in his racketeering and sex trafficking trial.
37:57He has said the relationships were consensual.

38:14Diddy not testifying
38:17It was the first time, albeit without the jury in the room,
38:21that Sean Combs has spoken during his trial.
38:24Outside the presence of the jury,
38:26the judge addressed Sean Diddy Combs regarding his decision not to testify in his own defense.
38:31When asked how he was feeling, Combs responded,
38:33I'm doing great, Your Honor,
38:35and took a moment to thank the judge,
38:37prompting a chuckle and appreciative response from the bench.
38:40I'm doing great, Your Honor.
38:41I've been wanting to tell you thank you.
38:43You're doing an excellent job.
38:45This is the first time I've seen these words.
38:47A little unusual, I think, for a defendant to thank the judge.
38:51The judge confirmed that Combs understood his right not to testify
38:54and that no negative inference could be drawn from that choice.
38:58Combs affirmed that it was his personal decision not to take the stand.
39:01The burden does not exist with Sean Combs.
39:03He has a Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself,
39:06and you cannot use that against him.
39:08The judge will give that explanation to the jury,
39:10and they will begin to consider this case from the standpoint of,
39:13did the government prove their case?
39:15Have you been following the federal trial of Sean Diddy Combs?
39:18Do you think prosecutors made a convincing case, or did they fall short?
39:22Share your thoughts in the comments below.
39:24She was shocked to see the bruises on her daughter's body,
39:26that she hadn't been aware that her daughter's relationship with Combs
39:29had been violent at this point.
39:31Have a great day.
