00:00Meanwhile, the palace denied claims by Kabataan Partilis that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is submissive to corporations in ignoring calls for wage hikes and fuel price controls.
00:10The palace also clarified that the chief executive annually requests the regional tripartite wage board to study possible salary increases.
00:17The proposed 200 pesos across the board wage hike is currently pending in Congress and cannot be dictated by the executive branch.
00:23They also explained that fuel prices are tied to global market trends and not under government control due to the oil deregulation law.
