Transcript
00:00All right, and there you see the Axiom 4 crew hugging each other after the
00:11successful doffing.
00:13Swabo Shuznanski-Vishnanski of ESA representing the nation of Poland.
00:16And their first visit to the International Space Station is next to cross the hatchway.
00:21And warm hugs all around.
00:24And applause breaking out here inside of Mission Control Houston and International Space Station
00:31Flight Control Room and Tibor Kapu, the fourth and final member of Axiom Mission 4, representing
00:36Hunor and the nation of Hungary.
00:38Their first visit to the International Space Station as well.
00:54Great big hugs and handshakes across all members of Expedition 73.
01:04And Axiom at Mission 4 is Ann McLean and Nicole Ayers of NASA along with Johnny Kim, Kirill Pezkov,
01:13Sergei Ryzykov, and Alexei Jabritsky of Roscosmos, and Takuya Onishi, commander of Expedition 73
01:18and of Ajaxa with handshakes and hugs for Peggy Whitson, Shubanchu Shukla, Swabo Shuznanski-Vishnanski,
01:25and Tibor Kapu.
01:30And with their arrival to the International Space Station, that now makes 288 visitors to
01:35the orbiting laboratory.
02:06And with this moment, we've had our first Indian at the International Space Station.
02:16Group Captain Shubhansha Shukla, they're seen standing along with Mission Commander Peggy Whitson,
02:22with Mission Specialist Uzunovsky as well as Tibor Kapoor.
02:26All of them seemingly having a sip of water, joking around.
02:29This is the welcome party that they planned for them at the ISS.
02:33Talking about two hours ago, it's been a long wait for them to get out and stretch their legs.
02:39They're now in the International Space Station.
02:41In all, with these four members of the AX4 mission also entering the ISS,
02:46the number of crew count at the International Space Station is currently at 11.
02:51There are already seven astronauts there.
02:53And now with the four of the AX4 crew, also part of the ISS troop, that breaks the count to 11.
03:01But you see there, Group Captain Shubhansha Shukla, I reckon they're all a bit tired from the journey,
03:07or seemingly so, considering they're all sitting back, having a chat and having a sip of water as well.
03:14The Dragon capsule for 28 hours, they've been more or less strapped in some parts.
03:19They did get a bit of freedom, but it's a very, very tiny capsule, so there's very little room to move around in.
03:25But now you see all of them out. Amazing to see that they're all excited, happy, beaming,
03:31and all smiles after such a long, rough journey.
03:35After this welcome party, where you have them getting to know the other crew at the ISS who are stationed there,
03:41they're going to be there for two weeks.
03:42This is home for Group Captain Shukla for the next 14 days, along with Peggy Whitson there, too, is right.
03:49You see all of them, their faces red. I don't know if it's relief, happiness, or just the conditions around them.
03:58But you can see all of them have a look of relief written all over their face.
04:03But now that they're out of the capsule, they're able to roam around freely.
04:06And this is their first sense, essentially, of zero-gravity conditions.
04:11And you can see that the fact that they're able to stretch their legs, move around a bit in the International Space Station.
04:17The docking, which took place at about 4 p.m. Indian Standard Time, happened in the Orbital Laboratory.
04:25And so from there, they've immediately stepped out.
04:28This is right after they've emerged from the point where the docking happened.
04:32So through the latch, they've made it through. All right, they've spotted the cameras there.
04:36So they're all waving to the cameras for the first time, saying hello to friends, to family, to a billion Indians watching this broadcast
04:44and wishing Shubhan Shukla all the very best for the experiments.
04:48Now that keep off...
