00:00So during President Trump's speech, he said the U.S. was considering sending more Patriot missile batteries to Ukraine to fend off Russian attacks.
00:09Is this a sign that his conversation with Zelensky was more measured and that the U.S. is stepping up support for the Ukrainian side?
00:19It was a 50 minute meeting and neither the readout from the government of Ukraine was that they were satisfied, sort of diplomatic speak.
00:31But, you know, a good day when President Trump comes out and says, hey, you know, we're looking at this equipment.
00:36But there are two issues. The first is having the Patriot batteries in inventory.
00:42There just aren't that many. It takes about a year to build them.
00:46The countries that have them currently don't want to give them to Ukraine.
00:51And it's ironic because President Zelensky has been running around for the last now four years telling everyone that they're next.
00:58The Russia, when they get done, when Russia gets done with Ukraine, they're going to roll right into Europe.
01:04So you better start spending money. You better start protecting yourselves.
01:07So then when President Zelensky goes to these governments to say, hey, give me your Patriot, you're not using it.
01:13They go, whoa, whoa, whoa. You told us we need to get ready.
01:16So that Patriot's not going anywhere.
01:19The other is that President Zelensky has said that he's willing to pay for all of this stuff.
01:24Now, in Donald Trump language, that's something he always loves to hear.
01:29So what we didn't get are the specifics in terms of what kind of request did President Zelensky make?
01:35What kind of offer did President Trump make?
01:38And where's the money coming from?
01:41So Ukraine's obviously going to need to get it from other people.
