Kunsthalle Zürich presents the first institutional solo exhibition in Switzerland by Berlin-based artist Klara Lidén, titled Over out und above. This documentary explores the exhibition, featuring new and earlier works that delve into Lidén’s exploration of public and private space through architectural interventions, performative acts, and material appropriations.
The film showcases key installations, including Square Moon (2025), a lamppost-like sculpture, and Untitled (Holes) (2025), concrete drill cores reflecting urban landscapes. Gang Gang Gang (2025) reimagines construction passageways, while Ring (Nuts) and Ring (Zomb) (2025) evoke minimal art, questioning accessibility. Lidén’s Untitled (Trashcan) series and large-scale slide projections of her performative actions further highlight her engagement with urban environments and social conventions.
Featuring an exclusive interview with curator and Kunsthalle director Fanny Hauser, this documentary offers insight into Lidén’s multi-layered practice and her reflections on the body, space, and institutional contexts.
