Art Basel’s Unlimited sector is for many the highlight of the fair. The Unlimited sector of Art Basel is a unique exhibition platform introduced in 2000, designed to showcase large-scale, monumental artworks that transcend the constraints of traditional art fair booths. This video provides you with a tour of the highlights of this year’s Art Basel Unlimited. A film that covers all exhibited artworks is coming soon.
Held annually in Basel, Switzerland, it occupies a 16,000-square-meter hall at Messe Basel and features a curated selection of oversized installations, colossal sculptures, expansive wall paintings, comprehensive photo series, video projections, and live performances. These works are often created specifically for Unlimited, allowing artists and galleries to present ambitious, museum-quality projects that engage with complex themes and innovative formats. This year’s Art Basel Unlimited features works by Marinella Senatore, Diane Arbus, Mario Merz, Daniel Buren, Martin Kippenberger, and many others.
