Just when you thought Ed Sheeran couldn't have any more success, he's now providing an aweosme tune for the brand new F1 soundtrack and says it's his first film job since he provided music for The Hobbit, with his song I See Fire back in 2019. 00:08I met Jerry, who produced the film, and he was like,

00:12we're making this movie.

00:14And then they played me it.

00:15I was in the studio with Blake and John, who I made the tune with,

00:18and I don't know.

00:19It just came out.

00:20It was just like, should we just try something?

00:22And then it worked.

00:23It wasn't really, yeah.

00:26What is it like being involved in a film with your music?

00:29I mean, is that really special for you?

00:31Yeah.

00:33I haven't really done this type of thing since the Hobbit premiere.

00:36I've done like a couple of songs for movies,

00:38but like in terms of like the big furore,

00:41I did it 2013 for The Hobbit.

00:44Yeah.

00:45And what is it about the cinema that's so special?

00:46And why should people go and see it on the biggest screen possible?

00:49Well, because I think it's a movie that is made for the cinema,

00:52and it is like, hello, mate.
