00:12:44So you know all about music then?
00:12:46I do.
00:12:47So you sing and do you play instruments in too?
00:12:50No, we have other members that play the instruments.
00:12:52I just sing and direct the choir.
00:12:54Oh, that's pretty cool.
00:12:56So this song, seriously, what made you write it?
00:12:59Made me write it?
00:13:00What do you mean made me write it?
00:13:02No, you know what I mean.
00:13:03What's it really about?
00:13:05I don't know.
00:13:06I guess how yesterday kind of seems always better than today.
00:13:12Why would you think that?
00:13:13Gee, you are full of questions.
00:13:15I'm sorry.
00:13:16I just find it very interesting.
00:13:18No, I'm just giving you a hard time.
00:13:21I got to admit, I like talking about music and stuff.
00:13:24It's, you know, it's cool.
00:13:25It's nice to talk to somebody about it.
00:13:27But anyway, well, that's laptops updating.
00:13:31I was actually going to go grab a bite to eat, get some lunch.
00:13:35You interested in going with me?
00:13:37Well, don't you have to fix the laptop?
00:13:39No, seriously, it's only updating.
00:13:41It'll literally fix itself.
00:13:43Right.
00:13:44No, seriously, let's go grab some lunch.
00:13:47And don't let the law here fool you.
00:13:49I'm completely harmless.
00:13:50I promise.
00:13:51And, you know, it'd be nice.
00:13:52It's nice to talk about music with somebody with a music background like you.
00:13:55So what do you say?
00:13:56You want to grab something to eat?
00:13:58Okay.
00:14:00So besides work and music, what else are you into?
00:14:04Well, I've got a cat and 11 turtles.
00:14:08Turtles?
00:14:09I didn't expect that one.
00:14:10Most people aren't, though.
00:14:14So are you in a band or something?
00:14:16Well, you know, I used to be for many years around here.
00:14:19I was in, you know, cover bands, bar bands like that.
00:14:22But I just got sick of playing other people's music and I really got sick of the bar scene.
00:14:26So, yeah, I literally, I put down the guitar and never touched it for maybe 15 years.
00:14:31And for some reason I picked it up and started writing and playing again.
00:14:37And, I don't know, I guess I get all the satisfaction I need out of music by creating.
00:14:42So is everything you write like what I heard you play at the church?
00:14:46No.
00:14:47I mean, a lot of it is, you know, like old school hard rock.
00:14:50That's what I used to listen to, what I still listen to.
00:14:53So that's kind of what I write like, a lot of the stuff's like that.
00:14:56You know, as far as, I don't know.
00:15:00I don't know.
00:15:01I guess there's really no genre.
00:15:03I mean, I write all kinds of different music.
00:15:05It's kind of a feeling.
00:15:06It's whatever I'm feeling and thinking.
00:15:08I try to write words and music, you know, to kind of match that, so.
00:15:13That's really cool.
00:15:14You know, the only songs I work on were written like 400 years ago.
00:15:18But at least I'm singing, right?
00:15:20No, that's true, you know, as long as you're singing.
00:15:23Speaking of singing, I don't know, if you'd be interested maybe singing a song,
00:15:29one of my songs with me.
00:15:31What do you mean?
00:15:32Well, you know, I've got a song that I wrote that, you know, when I recorded what I've
00:15:36got so far, I always thought this would be a perfect male-female duet type of song.
00:15:41And it's not like anything you've heard yet.
00:15:45It's not a hard rock.
00:15:46It's not an ACDC song or anything.
00:15:48But I just think it's, I don't know, just a kind of a song that would sound good with a
00:15:52male-female voice.
00:15:54I'm confused.
00:15:55Well, what I do is, I'd send you the song, I'll text it to you or email, whatever,
00:16:01and I'll send you the lyrics and you can listen to the song and come up with like a harmony
00:16:05part or something that you'd sing along with me.
00:16:08And once you're comfortable with it, let me know.
00:16:11We can get together and you can give it a try.
00:16:14We'll try singing it together.
00:16:15Yeah, I can try it.
00:16:16That sounds good.
00:16:17So do you suppose your computer is done updating yet?
00:16:22Well, yeah, I would guess so.
00:16:25This was a pretty easy fix, I got to admit.
00:16:29Usually I've got to go to all the trouble of turning them off and on before they work.
00:16:32Right.
00:16:33That always works, right?
00:16:34That always works, yeah.
00:16:35And that's the secret of my trade, you know.
00:16:38It's easier than singing 400-year-old church songs, right?
00:16:41True.
00:16:42Yeah.
00:16:43Are you going to go in the church then or are you going to head home?
00:16:49What's your plan?
00:16:50I'll probably just head home.
00:16:52Okay.
00:16:53Well, here, let me, why don't you enter your number into my phone and then I will text you
00:17:03that song when I get home.
00:17:06And like I said, listen to it.
00:17:08If you think you want to sing it, think it would be fun to do, yeah, we'll give it a shot.
00:17:11That'd be great.
00:17:12If you think it's terrible, hey, tell me, I have no ego.
00:17:14I'm sure I'm going to love it.
00:17:16So, do you want to meet back here at 8?
00:17:18Meet here at the church?
00:17:19Yeah.
00:17:20Okay.
00:17:21Sounds good.
00:17:22All right, see you at 8.
00:17:23Bye.
00:17:41All right, well, you're ready to give this a shot?
00:17:51I am.
00:17:52All right.
00:17:53You know the words and everything?
00:17:54I do.
00:17:55I've been listening to it all day.
00:17:56Really?
00:17:57Yes.
00:17:58You still like it?
00:17:59Yeah, I do.
00:18:00Really?
00:18:01You sure?
00:18:02It's good.
00:18:03It's really good.
00:18:04It's good.
00:18:05I can't really do that.
00:18:06I can't really do that.
00:18:07I can't see it.
00:18:08I can't see it.
00:18:09I can't see it.
00:18:10I can't see it.
00:18:11What's in the top?
00:18:12We could have the whole band behind it kind of thing and bass and drums and everything
00:18:13and play on to that or I can just do the guitar.
00:18:15What do you want to do?
00:18:16The guitar's fine.
00:18:17Okay.
00:18:18Is that kind of what you're used to?
00:18:19That's definitely what I'm used to.
00:18:20With the church, okay.
00:18:21Well, let's, I guess just try it.
00:38:47Si tu veux qu'on rentre early, tu peux.
00:38:49Je suis bien, je suis bien.
00:38:51Je ne sais pas, merci.
00:39:05Vous savez, je suis un peu plus tard.
00:39:08Est-ce que c'est bien si je prends une journée?
00:39:10Non, c'est bien.
00:39:11Allez.
00:39:12Hey, how's it going?
00:39:17Not too bad.
00:39:18Good.
00:39:19So, what's the deal?
00:39:21Well, first of all, I want to commend you on the songs that you sent.
00:39:26They're just amazing.
00:39:27I'm really proud of you.
00:39:29And then I was wondering if we could play that one more question game again.
00:39:34Sure, but if we're going to make a game out of it, we've got to come up with a cool game name.
00:39:38So, how about one honest answer?
00:39:43I guess that's a pretty good name.
00:39:47You know, the other day you asked me if I was with anyone.
00:39:51But anyway, to answer your question, yes, I'm married.
00:39:57Whoa.
00:39:58Okay.
00:39:59You don't wear a ring, though.
00:40:01Wow.
00:40:02Well, I lost it a few years ago and he never replaced it, which I guess is fine.
00:40:08Okay, wow.
00:40:10Um, I guess, are you happy?
00:40:14Actually, there's more.
00:40:17I'm married to the pastor of the church.
00:40:21The pastor at the church?
00:40:24Fuck.
00:40:26I'm sorry I shouldn't swear.
00:40:29Do you have any kids?
00:40:31We have two kids and they're both in college.
00:40:35So, you guys happy?
00:40:37I guess.
00:40:38I mean, I'm really not even sure, though, because we got married when I was only 18 years old.
00:40:44And back then I used to feel like his wife, but I really don't feel like that anymore.
00:40:49I just feel like the pastor's wife.
00:40:52Does that make sense?
00:40:53Yeah, it does, actually.
00:40:56But I have a question for you.
00:40:59Would you be here right now if he wasn't out of town?
00:41:02Honestly, I mean, I doubt it.
00:41:04But I don't want you to misunderstand me.
00:41:06It's not like I'm looking to have an affair or anything like that.
00:41:10I just heard your music at the church and it kind of sparked an interest in me.
00:41:15And I just felt like I had to be honest with you.
00:41:18Oh, that's cool.
00:41:20It's been fun for me, too.
00:41:22I mean, it's fun to talk about music and it gets kind of boring, you know, just making songs up for myself.
00:41:28Well, all I know is that I find the music really interesting and it kind of gives me a purpose.
00:41:34Like, I feel like when I get up in the morning that I'm somebody more than just the pastor's wife.
00:41:39So, I'm sorry for the bombshell, though.
00:41:42No, it's cool.
00:41:44Seriously, I get it.
00:41:45I know what you're saying.
00:41:47I mean, it could be a lot worse, right?
00:41:50Yeah, I mean, you're right.
00:41:52Well, why don't you ask me a question now?
00:41:58Let's see.
00:42:00What's your biggest secret?
00:42:02Well, nice broad question there.
00:42:05One honest answer, right?
00:42:07Great.
00:42:08Okay, I'll tell you, but I can't believe I'm going to tell you.
00:42:17But you've got to promise me one thing, that you will not tell anybody what I'm about to say.
00:42:24Okay, now you're scaring me.
00:42:26So, what's the deal? Are you like an escaped convict or alien or something?
00:42:32Alien? Yeah, that'd be cool.
00:42:34It'd be better than what I'm going to say, too, because the truth is, I'm dying.
00:42:44That's a good one.
00:42:49Wait, you're serious?
00:42:53Are you serious?
00:42:55I have an inoperable brain tumor.
00:42:58They found it last year.
00:43:01I was taking meds to keep it from growing, but they weren't working.
00:43:07So, here I am.
00:43:12I don't get it.
00:43:13I mean, you look so healthy.
00:43:15Do you have any symptoms?
00:43:18I mean, I get tired occasionally and get a headache once in a while.
00:43:22But I don't know if that's because of what I have or just because that's normal.
00:43:27They say sometimes with these, there are no symptoms.
00:43:31So, maybe that's what's happening to me.
00:43:35So, what does your family think?
00:43:37No, no family.
00:43:40Um, just my boss knows.
00:43:43And, of course, now you, but you promised you'll keep it a secret, right?
00:43:49Of course.
00:43:51I know what you want to ask next, but I'm sure you won't.
00:43:54So, I'm just going to answer it for you.
00:43:57They don't know how long I have.
00:43:59It could be a day.
00:44:00It could be a week, a month, a year, two years.
00:44:04They won't tell me or they don't know.
00:44:07I'm not sure which one.
00:44:09So, you're telling me that nothing can be done?
00:44:13No.
00:44:15I guess that's the answer to the first question you ever asked me is why I didn't hit on you.
00:44:22And the reason is because I don't think it would be fair to anyone to be involved with me knowing what I know.
00:44:29I wouldn't want to hurt someone that way.
00:44:34Um, I mean, look at you.
00:44:36I mean, you're almost crying.
00:44:38You've only known me for a couple of days.
00:44:40And, you know, imagine how bad you'd feel if, you know, if you loved me.
00:44:46I'm sorry.
00:44:49I just don't know what to say.
00:44:52I mean, I look at it this way.
00:44:55We could die at any second.
00:44:56I mean, a truck could hit us and that'd be it.
00:44:58Everybody dies.
00:45:01I guess I just have a little more insight about when I'm going to die.
00:45:06Um, is there anything that I can do to help?
00:45:09I mean, maybe I could start a prayer circle at the church or something.
00:45:14No, no.
00:45:15Really, there's just keep it to yourself.
00:45:18I mean, I've made my peace with it.
00:45:21I've made my peace with God, believe it or not.
00:45:25I'm not sure if this helps or says anything, but I'm good.
00:45:35If God wants me, he can have me.
00:45:37I'm okay with that.
00:45:40Okay.
00:45:41Just kind of let me get a hold of myself.
00:45:45I'm a little shocked.
00:45:47Um, let me ask you this then.
00:45:50What's your wish?
00:45:51What do you mean?
00:45:53You know, like, make a wish.
00:45:56What would your wish be?
00:45:57You know, I don't think I could have even answered that a week ago.
00:46:02But being able to share my music with you, it kind of opened my eyes a little bit.
00:46:08And I guess my wish would be to be able to share my music with the world.
00:46:18I mean, music's been good for me.
00:46:21It's been keeping my mind off the tumor.
00:46:23And being able to share it with you, I guess I'd like to share it with others.
00:46:29I think you're incredibly talented and I think you should do it.
00:46:34I mean, why don't you do it?
00:46:36Your songs are great.
00:46:37Well, it's really not that simple.
00:46:39I mean, the stuff I sent you is such low quality and it's drum machines and it's, you know,
00:46:46it's embarrassing.
00:46:47I can never send that to a label.
00:46:49I mean, I'd need to get these things professionally recorded with real musicians and, you know,
00:46:55to have any chance of a label listening to it.
00:47:00No, no.
00:47:01I'm sorry.
00:47:02I was just thinking.
00:47:03Um, I tell you what.
00:47:05I have choir practice tonight, but I'll be done about 7.30.
00:47:09You want to meet me at the church?
00:47:12Well, yeah, but is it even okay now?
00:47:15Trust me.
00:47:16Just meet me then.
00:47:18What do you think you are doing?
00:47:27What are you talking about?
00:47:28The man with the long hair.
00:47:30What do you think your husband or the church would think about you hanging out with him?
00:47:34That is none of your business.
00:47:36And it's certainly not the church's business.
00:47:38I was left in charge when pastor left.
00:47:40So it is my business.
00:47:41First of all, I haven't done anything wrong.
00:47:44And second of all, I advise you to keep your nose out of my business.
00:47:48Because if you don't keep your nose out of it, I will let everybody know what you keep in the top drawer of your desk.
00:47:54There is nothing in there.
00:47:57I just happen to have a video on my phone of what's in your desk.
00:48:01As a matter of fact, I have several videos like that.
00:48:04And if you don't knock it off, I just might happen to upload them to the church's server.
00:48:09Hey guys, how's it going?
00:48:12I'm hey, I'm fascinated.
00:48:13I wanted to introduce you to our guitar player.
00:48:15He plays guitar for me here at the church.
00:48:17Nice to meet you.
00:48:18Nice to meet you.
00:48:19I hear you're a songwriter and I heard that disc you put together.
00:48:22Great stuff.
00:48:23Really?
00:48:24Well, thanks.
00:48:25Very talented, isn't he?
00:48:26Yeah, I see.
00:48:27And you are too.
00:48:28I am?
00:48:29You both are.
00:48:30Well, hey.
00:48:31Actually, what he didn't tell you is that he used to be a rock legend back in the day.
00:48:35Didn't ya?
00:48:36I recognize, you know, you used to play the lead from Crash Alley, right?
00:48:43Mm-hmm.
00:48:44That was me.
00:48:45I can't believe you remember that.
00:48:47I mean, you must be really old.
00:48:48No, you guys were great, and I am.
00:48:50But yeah, you guys were fantastic.
00:48:53Oh, thank you.
00:48:54You're too kind.
00:48:55You're too kind.
00:48:57You know, so what's your plans with these, you know, the songs I heard on this disc are great.
00:49:02What are you going to do with it?
00:49:04Well, ideally, I don't think he'd like to record them and send them off to a label.
00:49:09Well, yeah, I mean, that would be the ultimate goal, I mean, to record them.
00:49:13But, I mean, as you could hear on the recording, I mean, it's just a drum machine and pretty lo-fi stuff.
00:49:18So, yeah, I mean, to record it would be great, but I have no idea how, you know, how would I even accomplish something like that.
00:49:23You know, who would I get to play along with it, you know, type of thing.
00:49:26Forgive me if I'm overstepping, but if you're looking for a guitar player, I'd be honored to play on these songs.
00:49:33And I know a drummer would be perfect for this stuff.
00:49:36And if he hears the stuff, I know he'd say yes.
00:49:41Well, you know, that'd be totally awesome.
00:49:44I mean, you know, that's just what I'm looking for, but how would we actually do the recording?
00:49:49Do you have any ideas there?
00:49:51There's, you know, a lot of gear here, and they've recorded some church projects and stuff.
00:49:56Well, that's really cool, but do you think it'd sound good in here?
00:50:00I mean, what are the acoustics like?
00:50:01Oh, this would be great for drums.
00:50:03It's very churchy.
00:50:04Yeah, it's funny you say that because there's been a lot of rock recordings that have been done in churches.
00:50:09Oh, really?
00:50:10Yeah, seriously.
00:50:11Yeah.
00:50:12Yeah.
00:50:13So, all right.
00:50:14Well, maybe.
00:50:15I'm kind of embarrassed.
00:50:18Maybe I don't need to ask this, but I mean, I can't transcribe into the music.
00:50:22I just do it by ear.
00:50:24So...
00:50:25We'll just listen to the songs, learn them by ear like we have for years.
00:50:29Sit down and work out some arrangements that you approve of.
00:50:33Well, yeah, I mean, add, do whatever you want to on these things.
00:50:37Yeah.
00:50:38Tell the drummer the same thing.
00:50:39Do what he needs to do because, you know, everybody should, you know, contribute creatively, I think.
00:50:44And, yeah, I mean, I can, you know, you got the songs, I guess, I don't know, how many should we, maybe five or six?
00:50:51Five or six songs?
00:50:545.2.
00:50:555.2.
00:50:56Okay.
00:50:57He's a funny guy.
00:50:58Okay, yeah, we'll say six then because I don't like your answer.
00:51:02Just kidding.
00:51:03Six songs.
00:51:046.3.
00:51:05I'll get you those here.
00:51:07Why don't you, why don't you put your number in here and I'll have it and I can text you.
00:51:15And, you know, the songs that we want to do, thinking about doing.
00:51:19And we'll go from there.
00:51:20Now, what about your answer?
00:51:21I mean, get in the church.
00:51:22I mean, I don't really like you to do this.
00:51:26Well, the pastor comes back tomorrow.
00:51:30I'm not sure how it's gonna feel about it.
00:51:33But, I don't know if I should even ask.
00:51:37I, you know, we could probably just do it at night.
00:51:40Nobody need to know.
00:51:41Who's coming here when the place is closed up?
00:51:43Right.
00:51:44That's rock and roll.
00:51:45Nobody never knows.
00:51:46That's rock and roll.
00:51:47Alright, well, you know, if you think it'll work, I'm willing.
00:51:50So, I'm willing to take the risk.
00:51:53Well, as you both know, musicians don't make much money.
00:51:58So, I gotta go deliver some pizzas.
00:52:00Alright, we'll see you.
00:52:01See ya.
00:52:02Bye.
00:52:03Wow.
00:52:04Yeah.
00:52:05I can't believe this is gonna happen.
00:52:07Right?
00:52:08Wow.
00:52:09This is really exciting.
00:52:10It really is.
00:52:11Thank you.
00:52:12You're welcome.
00:52:13I'm so excited to do it.
00:52:14I got one more favor to ask.
00:52:15Why?
00:52:16Actually, it's not a favor.
00:52:17It's something I insist on.
00:52:18Oh, no.
00:52:19What?
00:52:20I'm gonna sing on this recording.
00:52:21No.
00:52:22No, I'm serious.
00:52:23On the recording with you?
00:52:24Yeah.
00:52:25Sing back up like you were singing or singing, you know, with me.
00:52:27Sing some harmonies.
00:52:28But you gotta be on it.
00:52:29Can I think about it?
00:52:31No.
00:52:32Okay.
00:52:33Okay.
00:52:34I'll do it.
00:52:35Alright.
00:52:36Good.
00:52:37Good deal.
00:52:38Now, the fun part, I gotta pick out like six songs for us to do.
00:52:41You wanna help me?
00:52:42Yeah.
00:52:43Alright.
00:52:44Let's go in the car.
00:52:45I got everything on there.
00:52:46When I say it, it sounds, it's like what we should do.
00:52:56I want you to see.
00:53:01I'll make it pass perfectly.
00:53:08It makes me happy just having you there.
00:53:14A moment of just you and me.
00:53:20Did you get my stuff packed?
00:53:25What are you wearing anyway?
00:53:27Hope you dress a little more decent before you go to the church today.
00:53:31By the way, those blinds are filthy.
00:53:36You know I'm allergic to dust.
00:53:38And I'm allergic to creeps.
00:54:08You know I'm allergic to incompetents.
00:54:09Why don't you get soㅎㅎal düş that good?
00:54:10Hey guys!
00:54:11Hey!
00:54:12How's it going?
00:54:13Good!
00:54:14This is the drummer I was telling you about.
00:54:15Hey, nice to meet you.
00:54:16Hey.
00:54:16Nice to meet you too.
00:54:17Uh.
00:54:18The songs sound great.
00:54:19Looking forward to recording them.
00:54:20The doors are locked.
00:54:21And she's not here yet.
00:54:22Have you heard anything?
00:54:23No I thought she'd be here already.
00:54:25Well I hope she hurries up.
00:54:26Nice to meet you, too. The songs sound great. Looking forward to recording them.
00:54:30The doors are locked, and she's not here yet. Have you heard anything?
00:54:34No, I thought she'd be here already.
00:54:36I hope she hurries up. We've got a lot to do. I haven't even set up yet.
00:54:41Hey, guys. Come on in.
00:54:44Violent.
00:54:47Oh.
00:54:48Easy, brother.
00:54:51I don't like this.
00:54:52I don't like this.
00:54:56Wow, you look great.
00:55:00Well, thank you.
00:55:00A total rock of you. Wow.
00:55:02Well, what about you?
00:55:04Because I have buttons on my shirt?
00:55:06Yeah.
00:55:06And this is like my formal wear.
00:55:08Right.
00:55:09But no, seriously, I've got to ask. Does your husband know you're here?
00:55:13No, he doesn't.
00:55:15You're still okay with doing this?
00:55:17I am.
00:55:17Okay.
00:55:18It'll be fine.
00:55:20Okay.
00:55:20Those are the words I was waiting to hear.
00:55:22I'm going to be fine.
00:55:23So I guess we're about ready to go. You ready?
00:55:26I am ready.
00:55:27Cool.
00:55:27Cool.
01:00:15All right.
01:00:16And you all are rock band in the house of the Lord?
01:00:19What were you thinking?
01:00:20How did you get a member of the church to go along with this?
01:00:24I can't even imagine.
01:00:26And how long have you known that computer repair guy?
01:00:29Are you guys having an affair or something?
01:00:31And how long has this been going on?
01:00:33How embarrassing.
01:00:34How can you do this to me?
01:00:37And bringing your rock band into the church?
01:00:39Can you imagine the scandal that would cause?
01:00:42Don't you have anything to say?
01:00:43Can you imagine the scandal it would cause
01:00:46if I decided one day that I was sick and tired of your beatdowns?
01:00:50What are you talking about?
01:00:51I'm a great husband.
01:00:53Okay.
01:00:55And what does that mean?
01:00:58I wasn't hurting anyone.
01:01:01Hurting anyone?
01:01:01Do you realize what kind of stress this is causing me?
01:01:05That long-haired guy?
01:01:07He really needs my help.
01:01:08And that's all I was doing, I swear.
01:01:11And what do you mean, needed?
01:01:13Just trust me on this one.
01:01:14He needs help, okay?
01:01:16And what kind of help does that long-haired heathen need from you?
01:01:19He looks like he belongs in the dive bar downtown.
01:01:23Just stop.
01:01:24He's dying, okay?
01:01:26He's dying?
01:01:28What do you mean, he's dying?
01:01:30It's true.
01:01:31He wouldn't lie about this.
01:01:32Trust me.
01:01:33It's...
01:01:34He just wouldn't.
01:01:34In fact, if you won't let me see this through, I'm leaving you.
01:01:40And that'll give you a real scandal to deal with.
01:01:43So what's wrong with him?
01:01:45He has a brain tumor.
01:01:46And there's nothing more they can do.
01:01:48So why do you think letting him play his rock and roll music in the house of the Lord will help him?
01:01:53It's all he has.
01:01:54And it's all that he wants.
01:01:57And it's his dying wish.
01:01:59And as far as rock and roll, I don't want you to pretend that you are holier than thou.
01:02:04It might be rock, but listen to it once.
01:02:06It's really meaningful.
01:02:08And it's from his heart.
01:02:09Fine.
01:02:10Then let me hear this wonderful music.
01:02:12Just once, I ask you to let me do something for me.
01:02:17So that I feel like an individual and not just the pastor's wife.
01:02:22And I can't believe that I even have to say this to you, but it's the Christian thing to do.
01:02:28All right, then.
01:02:29What do you want?
01:02:31So we are practicing in the church tonight so that tomorrow we can record them and send them off to record labels.
01:02:38You know, I do know someone.
01:02:40Do you remember Mike, the sound engineer?
01:02:42I can see if he'll come by.
01:02:44Maybe he's willing to help.
01:02:46Okay.
01:02:47That sounds good.
01:02:48Thank you.
01:02:48It really means a lot to me.
01:02:50So I guess I'm going to text the guys and let them know.
01:02:53They'll be really excited.
01:02:55Oh, no.
01:02:56I got this.
01:02:57And I'm taking your phone.
01:03:02You know, I didn't hear a thing from her.
01:03:04Uh-oh.
01:03:05Have you checked?
01:03:05Is it open?
01:03:06It is open.
01:03:07There's a meeting down in the basement.
01:03:09Yeah, you said that.
01:03:10Yeah.
01:03:10Well, we can't record.
01:03:11I really don't want to get my drum.
01:03:12Oh, yeah.
01:03:13I haven't even changed clothes from yesterday.
01:03:15Yeah.
01:03:15I haven't showered.
01:03:17I hear you.
01:03:18Um, yeah.
01:03:18Well, it's just...
01:03:19It's early, so...
01:03:20Let's just go get our stuff.
01:03:20Let's just get it.
01:03:21Yeah.
01:03:21All right.
01:03:26Hey, guys.
01:03:26We're over here.
01:03:27Come on over.
01:03:32Hey, guys.
01:03:33How's it going?
01:03:34Oh, pretty good.
01:03:35Great.
01:03:36How are you doing?
01:03:36Doing okay.
01:03:37Yeah.
01:03:37Say, I've heard you guys practice, and I figured you guys could probably use a sound guy.
01:03:41This is Mike.
01:03:42Hey, guys.
01:03:43Mike, nice to meet you.
01:03:44Nice to meet you.
01:03:44Nice to meet you.
01:03:45I've heard your work.
01:03:46It sounds great.
01:03:46Thanks.
01:03:47I appreciate that.
01:03:47I've got kind of a portable setup here, and the room sounds really good.
01:03:51I think we can make a really good recording of it.
01:03:53Now, I see Mike's on the drum.
01:03:54I haven't seen before.
01:03:55Those are yours?
01:03:56Most of them, yeah.
01:03:57Okay.
01:03:57Brought a few from the church, but most of them are mine.
01:04:00But, yeah, I think it's going to be great.
01:04:02As long as we get the good basics in the church, you know, the big thing is the drums.
01:04:06Anything after that, we can usually overdub.
01:04:08Okay.
01:04:09If anybody's got recording capabilities at the house, we can just take it there and bring
01:04:13all the files back to my computer, and it'll sound great.
01:04:16Good.
01:04:17Sounds good.
01:04:17And you're here, too.
01:04:18Yeah.
01:04:19All right.
01:04:19Well, I guess we can get started.
01:04:22Okay, everyone ready?
01:04:23We're rolling.
01:04:24Here comes the click.
01:04:30From here and after, I won't ask again.
01:05:00Say the things you have to do before the fun begins.
01:05:08Well, I need a reason for it.
01:05:11It goes a long way.
01:05:15And nobody's looking here.
01:05:18Just say what you have to say.
01:05:21Tell me, all right?
01:05:25Let me hear what I want to hear.
01:05:28Tell me how.
01:05:31Because the whole thing is, it is.
01:05:36There's a lot of pressure.
01:05:39To make the deal.
01:05:42No one let me know.
01:05:46The mind is unreal.
01:27:47One more time
