00:00Tommy Fleetwood, where do you go first in trying to process this?
00:03Like we know he has all the tools necessary to win on the PGA Tour, but this is this is all mental at this point, correct?
00:11It's just really hard to win. It really is hard to win, especially for a player that's been dying to win on the PGA Tour for quite some time.
00:19It's not that he hasn't won worldwide. He has. He's had plenty of wins in the DP World Tour.
00:23But today it was gift wrap for him. It just felt like it was his day.
00:28You know, nobody was really putting the push on, I should say, on that front nine to where, you know, it was, you know, guys were going really low.
00:36He was making early bogeys, letting everybody back in, you know, was really struggling, you know, keeping it inside that three foot range when he did hit it to that lag putt, you know, distance in that 40 foot range.
00:49That was kind of the kryptonite, basically the what lost in the golf tournament, I feel like, because you go back early in the round where he had a lag putt at the third hole.
00:57He started out with a bogey, comes back nice with a birdie, and then the third hole hits it to that little lag putt distance and isn't able to convert.
01:05And eventually was the reason why he didn't get this thing done with the lag putt at 18, poor iron shot at 16, and then 17, just about three putted there, blown it by.
01:15So the putter's always been kind of his weak link because he's been such a good ball striker the course of his career.
01:22But with how well he played yesterday where he hit every single fairway and then today really kind of struggled hitting the fairways quite as much, which was a bit of a surprise.
01:32Call it a choke, call it what you want.
01:35I call it a really good golf course that provides really fun endings.
01:39I think 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 are the back nine really at the Travelers is one of the best back nights we have in the PGA Tour.
01:47And it lends itself to players chasing.
01:52You know, if you're chasing, you can go make birdies, but it's hard when you feel like you have to make pars and you just have to get to the finish line.
01:59So, yes, Tommy didn't get it done, but also you got to give it credit to Keegan for just hanging in there and making the big shots when he had to.
