01:16uh thank you all all of your attention to ukraine and to our joint defense capabilities the key word

01:27here is i think is joint we all understand that the source of this war and the long-term threat to the

01:35european way of life is russia but in reality we are not just facing russia alone we are facing

01:45a network of state and non-state actors that are serving the cause of aggression this network

01:55includes russia north korea the current regime in iran chinese companies and many many schemes

02:05across the world that help produce produce weapons and carry out operations against our country our

02:13people and our europe only together can we encounter this and the best way to do it is to hit the core

02:24of this aggression heart and to break every link that connects russia with its accomplices that's why

02:33our priorities are clear our joint defense production and real restrictions on cooperation with russia

02:41through sanctions and other restrictive measures thank you to everyone who's helping us with this

02:51now the key points for today about defense production first investment and technology

03:00our defense production potential has surpassed 35 billion us dollars this includes nearly one thousand types of

03:10products from artillery from artillery and traditional armed vehicles to advanced drones of by the way of all types

03:20and missiles but around 40 percent of these potential lacks pro lacks proper funding is true that's a problem

03:31for example we can produce over over eight million drones of different types each year

03:36of the financing allows for far fewer at the same time russia is using not only its oil revenues

03:46for defense but also the resources of regimes like north korea and iran and russia's corrupt connections in other

04:58provide up to 150 billion euro to develop the defense industry and we call for this program to also be

05:07actively used as an extra source of support for our shared security and it's important to keep in mind that

05:16ukraine is an equal partner to this program meaning that ensuring security is our common cause

05:25second long-term resilience of our countries there are no signs that putin wants to stop this war russia

05:36rejects all peace proposals including those from the united states of america putin only thinks about war

05:45that's a fact that's a fact maybe he connects his own political survival with his ability to keep

05:54killing so long as the he kills he lives and our intelligence conforms this russia is even planning new

06:04military operations on nato territory meaning your countries and this war is now on in ukraine and it's

06:13it's to get prepared well to be ready no doubt we must stop putin now and in ukraine but we have to

06:22understand that his objectives reach beyond ukraine european countries need to increase defense spending we

06:31believe that five percent of gdp is the right level a united europe can create a defense capability that will

07:07decided to commit part of their national defense spending to supporting ukraine if every european country

07:16commits at least 0.25 percent of its gdp for these and we are thankful to those countries who commit more

07:26like netherland norway sweden and such big commitment like from germany and something quite reasonable the

07:37chances for peace in europe will grow third please make sure your countries and your companies are not

07:46helping russia or its bodies in any way this is wearing this is crucial really and there is no significant

07:55russian weapon today that is produced without components without equipment or materials from

08:02other countries sadly including some from europe and and nato yes of course and this must stop such

08:12components can be found in every russian missiles in most of their drones and in military vehicles

08:21and it's not just china also taiwan and some of these parts come from the european countries and from the united

08:33states and every single component or machine tool delivered to russia's defense sector helps prolong the

08:42war and is a crime against peace every scheme that helps them build shahid drones

08:50weapons or any other tools of killing is not just aiding a war against us it's a threat to you

08:58and to the way of life that millions in our countries value deeply please let's make sure that our

09:06defense potential and the potential of our partners works for our peace not for russia's madness thank

09:32with the eu leadership and nato and to discuss with you again what you're seeing at this moment is that

09:41european and canadian partners they are now basically ramping up the support of ukraine already over 35

09:59amount for 2025 will be higher than in 2024 this shows you that the support for ukraine is ongoing

10:06tomorrow we will have a summit with nato leaders and i can also safely predict that the support for

10:13ukraine going forward closely linked to the defense spending of nato countries will be there and we'll

10:19also make sure that of course we hope the war will end soon because if it takes more time and you have

10:25to support in terms of military capabilities but also when the peace comes or a long-term ceasefire

10:31that you are so strong that vladimir vladimir is putin will never ever again try to capture one square

14:41agile and innovative ukrainian defense industry therefore we have designed a funding program of 150

14:49billion euros we call it safe where member states but also ukraine and other partners can take these loans to

14:57invest in the ukraine defense industry which has shown its ability to innovate to produce fast and reliably at

15:07scale we can learn a lot from you what that is concerned but in this way we can support you also for the

15:17survival of ukraine secondly of course there's constant financial support to ukraine because we know you're

15:24fighting a war that is also protecting our values and our principles and thirdly indeed we have to put pressure

15:32on president putin that he comes to the negotiation table and that he's engaging seriously

15:38in negotiations for just and lasting peace therefore the 18 sanctions package is a biting one is a hard one

15:47um i know that our g7 friends will follow suit with their sanctions so all this shows you are among
