00:00Welcome to INSPAM. First thing first, since you have been associated with
00:07Modi ji Prime Minister Naree to Modi ji for so many years and working in the field of education
00:13so your experience is very long and as a citizen and also having worked with him
00:21we would like to know both perspectives about what do you think about his contribution to India
00:27you know he has been being here for 11 years in this 11 year and also of course 25 years
00:34we will talk later. So you know if you're talking of the Honourable Prime Minister
00:40Srinarendra Modi there are so many things he has done there is I mean it's incredible sometimes
00:48when you try to make a list of the things he has done you would think how can one person have done
00:55that right but so I won't talk about everything but I'll talk about education in the field of
01:04education he's done some incredible things and I would say that maybe he is not an academic
01:14but I think he's the world's greatest educationalist
01:18I think the work that he's done in education and one of the reasons I think the work he's done in
01:26education is his love for children I think he really loves children so because you see this beautiful
01:37program that he's done you know Pariksha Pe Charcha and making children exam warriors
01:50I think that's wonderful like he's just changed the whole concept of examination and you know like it is
01:58not about stress or family stress and then he talks about how they should learn and what in that that
02:07one program I think that of his I think that he shows how much he really cares for children and education
02:18then of course there is that wonderful program called Man Ki Baat
02:23people may think that it's you know he's just talking but you don't realize how much he's teaching
02:29while he's talking you know agar hum dhrishti se dekhe to hume pata chalega ke woh kitna sikhate hain
02:38and he's reaching out to everybody you know like east west north south villages urban cities one two three
02:48tax cities means everywhere he's reaching and he's talking about so many different different things
02:56and people who listen to it regularly because I know people do listen to it regularly they're going to
03:01learn so much besides this there is this beautiful beautiful beautiful uh national education policy
03:122020 uh wo 36 35 36 years ke baad hain and you know I seriously I am an academic I'm an educational
03:25researcher even I'm not just a teacher I think that it is one of the world's greatest policies education
03:32policies or us education policy pay you can see the pm's heart all through of course there were a team
03:41of people who were making it but you know many dekha nahi hain but when I think of it I can see him
03:49telling you know okay aise karo aise karo aise karo because you know on tv you do see him conducting
03:56meetings so I'm 100% sure for something so important he must have conducted the meeting and said
04:02these points are coming to me and I know that I have written the position papers so I've written the
04:11position I was in the group that was writing the position papers for pedagogy and curriculum that
04:18is ke kaise sikhana aur kya sikhana besides that there were other groups that were doing history geography
04:26language you know all that mathematics uh to a subject uh a topic the art integration
04:36or jab hum likh rahe thay toh main nebola ke you know keep it one to twelve kyunki main school
04:43hum school ke baare mein likh rahe thay toh meray group mein jo thay uh kuch senior bhi thay
04:50hum mo nne ka ha nahi nahi unhoh nahi nahi una to twelve mat rako art integration one
04:54to five rakho mein ni bula dekho rachau is bar nai rakăƒŒăƒˆ toh kab rakhen ge you know
05:02lets job dika ke dikhi baat kyar lo ach ha art integration lick rakhha humuhne nahi drama nikol
05:11humuhne painting mainting year sab rakhha music and all
05:15You know, after one week, we were all doing the final.
05:19After one week, there was a notice, a note came.
05:24And there was a note in the note that
05:27the drama is missing, please include it.
05:31And the NCRT people said that it came from above.
05:37Above is the only one.
05:40So you think about how much detail he is talking.
05:46Then he has introduced something called IKS,
05:49that's the Indian Knowledge System.
05:51A very, very wonderful thing is there for 1-8,
05:57is the 10-day Bagler School.
06:00I think it is one of the most beautiful things.
06:03Because there are 10 days,
06:07you know, 10 days, one month, one day per month.
06:11Where the kids go bagless,
06:14they go without the bag.
06:16Now, it doesn't mean that they don't have to do studies.
06:21But what did they write in it?
06:23Pre-vocational education,
06:25introduce them to different vocations.
06:29Carpentry, weaving, pottery.
06:32How much of that happens to them.
06:35And this is all their ideas, I know.
06:38Because they get respect from the village,
06:44you know, you start respecting that vocation.
06:47Because the children are learning it in school.
06:49Suddenly, when they go to the village,
06:53they won't see them like the village.
06:57They will see them as an artist who is making pots,
07:01and a skilled person.
07:03Now, skills,
07:05the children will find such skills.
07:08How will you find your skills?
07:10Because you see, our village children,
07:12mostly farmers,
07:14or nothing.
07:17If they can introduce these skills in childhood,
07:22then after growing up,
07:24they will start thinking about skill building,
07:29which they have introduced.
07:31You know, different vocations,
07:349-10 standards,
07:35you know, skill building.
07:37You know, engineering, medicine,
07:40are not the only things.
07:41How many other vocations are, you know?
07:44Then he started the start-ups.
07:47So if you start a vocation,
07:49then these start-ups will be a way
07:51to take your vocations to the world.
07:56I can't think that one person has done so many things.
08:01Like when he was in Gujarat,
08:05he introduced electricity.
08:09You know, 24 hours.
08:11After that, my children are learning at night.
08:15You see?
08:16People, I mean, I'm thinking it from a teacher's point of view.
08:20You know, it's not like that they've been given to the house,
08:23but my children,
08:24who didn't do anything after 6 hours,
08:27now they're learning.
08:29So for that, they started a program,
08:32which was Vache Gujarat.
08:34You know, children were given prizes for reading books.
08:38Libraries got books.
08:40You know, schools, oh my God.
08:44The sanitary units, toilets in schools,
08:51is one of the most beautiful things.
08:53Because girls dropped out.
08:56And you go and see.
08:58Toilets in so many of the...
09:01most of the schools are so good.
09:03See, if we didn't keep the toilet good,
09:07then it's our responsibility, not his.
09:10They've given us this opportunity.
09:13You know, how good it was for girls.
09:17You know, after they started getting their periods and all,
09:20they could go to school.
09:22You know, whenever you come to Gujarat, you know,
09:26where he started the whole thing.
09:29Then, you know, university level,
09:32he started such a beautiful thing called cluster universities.
09:38The universities like Rashtriya Raksha University is beautiful.
09:43You know, what is it?
09:45All the security learnings, you know, units are there together.
09:52So, forensic is there, you know, bodyguards and security ka hai,
09:59flight security ka hai, office security hai, police hai.
10:05You know, all the different, different, different fire hai, you know.
10:10So, all the different security, you know, things,
10:14learnings are in one university.
10:18So, this is purely his idea, you know,
10:22where he started cluster universities.
10:25I think it's beautiful because sometimes, you know, they're intermingling.
10:32Joint hota hai, you know.
10:34And these universities are started in villages.
10:38Toh, jaysay, this for example,
10:41Rashtriya Raksha University is on the Labad village ground.
10:47Now, a land.
10:48And the children, you know, are with the university.
10:54The university shares their buses with the schools of Labad.
10:59So, kitna, I mean, you know,
11:02a very beautiful quality.
11:04They go into detail.
11:07You know, like, write down.
11:11Yeah, it's so minute and you think, hain.
11:14We didn't think about it.
11:16You know, kind of thing.
11:18They go into detail.
11:20You know, digital India, e-vidya.
11:24What beautiful programs like your locker,
11:28you know, you have to just put it, you know,
11:34it's fantastic.
11:36It's superb, you know.
11:39So, he's done, I just can't stop.
11:42There are so many things he's done.
11:44Like, you know,
11:46Beeti bachaao, Beeti padhao.
11:48It is fantastic because, you know,
11:51Yeh sab kehte the.
11:53Ke, hain, beeti onko padhao.
11:56Toh, you know, ek family sudar jata hai.
11:58Yeh hota hai, woh.
11:59Par kia khasne.
12:02You know, he went and did it.
12:03And he gave respect to the girl child, you know.
12:08And made it so easy for the girl child to study.
12:12So, I think, you know,
12:15like, he's done all these beautiful things.
12:18He's like a gift to the children of Bharat.
12:22You know, like, I'm, you know, Narendra bai.
12:27He becomes like a family person.
12:29Sometimes it becomes very difficult for me to say,
12:33honourable prime minister, Narendra Modi.
12:37I always think of him as Narendra bai.
12:40You know, an elder brother,
12:42who is doing so much for us.
12:45You know, as a teacher,
12:47I think it's fantastic.
12:50I mean, you think, like, I'm sure he must be gifted with some super power.
12:59I'm 100% sure he, you know, got some super power.
13:03Because how can one person be able to do so much?
13:07Like, see Operation Sindur.
13:09And what respect to women army officers, you know.
13:17I think it's beautiful.
13:20Then, you know, all...
13:23You know,
13:24I was born in Amdabad, the first one.
13:31Yeah, because it was started by Vikram Sarabhai.
13:33They told me that,
13:36Aise PM toh kabhi aayane.
13:39You know, he stands with you.
13:43Agar ha...
13:44Aise hain ke failure nahi hota hai.
13:47Hota hai na?
13:48But he comes and he pats you on the back
13:50and he says,
13:51No, don't worry.
13:53And, uh...
13:53Ek baar hunne baatai ke...
13:55Ek baar he was there.
13:57And there was, you know, like,
13:59he had to sit for about eight hours.
14:02And they told him,
14:03Eight aahns baatne ke baad ham...
14:06100% guarantee nahi nahi da rahe hain ke...
14:08Yeh success ho ga.
14:10He says, nahi, mein baathaa hun yahaan.
14:12And I will...
14:13He's the Prime Minister, ya.
14:15Kitna?
14:16He says, they said,
14:17that road map he wants.
14:21He says, you tell me,
14:22within five years what you will do,
14:23within ten years what you will do,
14:24fifteen years you will do.
14:26And he wants to see it.
14:29You understand?
14:29The implementation.
14:30Yeah, no.
14:31First of all, he wants to see that paper.
14:34Yeah.
14:34And then he wants to see the implementation.
14:37But he wants to see the blueprint.
14:38He wants to see...
14:40How does one person see everything?
14:43I mean,
14:44I am only talking about one topic.
14:47And he is doing so much.
14:49Ek vyakti yeh topic bhi karte karte khatam ho jai.
14:53But he does 200 things like this.
14:58And the best is,
14:59us ke baad bhi he is like,
15:02as if ho hapne hai.
15:05You know,
15:06when you see him on the roads,
15:07and how he told that girl,
15:09come down.
15:11I will sign your painting.
15:13then you can go down first.
15:15I mean,
15:16I mean,
15:17how many people who ignore it so much,
15:18and go out and go out and go out and go out and go out and go out.
15:19What we can do in India,
15:21this is all this,
15:21this is the big one.
15:23No.
15:24I think it was in Varanasi, when she opened the corridor, she was taking a selfie, so she went and took a selfie with that girl.
15:45You know, that's so sweet. He's so kind, you know. I really think he's like Naredra.
15:53And also, you were talking about education. So, in coming years, as a teacher and as an academic person, what change do you see in India?
16:08See, the change has come. In the sense that change has to be implemented.
16:14So, they're giving a lot of support for that.
16:18Now, in the NEP, give teachers a training.
16:23You know, now I care. That is beautiful.
16:27You know, when you're going, like they're saying,
16:30Law College, Arthashastra, you should study. At least, you should study. Know what was there.
16:36And it's beautiful, if you read it.
16:39You know, how it was governance, architecture, vastu, everything. You know, Ayurveda. The way it's being promoted. And all that will take time, no?
16:56I mean, immediately, you can't come. Look, we're the only one. We take so long to understand. You know? Why don't we be like him? Fast, fast understand and implement it. You know?
17:10Like, he says things like skills, size and scale.
17:15Do it. We need to work on war footing. They have shown us the path. You know? So, yeah.
