There are a number of massive gigs set to take place across Glasgow this coming week,
00:05
so to help out concertgoers and address the dramatic increase in footfall in particular areas,
00:10
ScotRail has announced they will run additional services.
00:14
Summer Sessions is underway at Bella Houston Park,
00:17
with a performance by Sting on Wednesday the 25th of June,
00:20
followed by Simple Minds on Friday the 27th,
00:23
then a sold-out Stereophonics on Saturday the 28th.
00:26
For each of these events, extra late-night train routes have been added from Dunbrek to Glasgow Central.
00:33
To facilitate these, however, from 10pm onwards,
00:37
trains on the Paisley Canal line will only run between Dunbrek and Glasgow Central directly,
00:42
so replacement buses will operate on the line, calling it Moss Park, Crookston and Hawkhead.
00:48
Dunbrek Station is only a short walk from the park.
00:52
Customers are being advised to purchase train tickets in advance of travelling,
00:56
either online through the app or at a ticket vending machine.
01:00
If you are driving, there are a number of road closures in the area between 9.30pm and 3am,
01:06
which can be found on the Traffic Scotland website.
01:10
Lana Del Rey is also set for an appearance at Hamden on Thursday the 26th of June,
01:14
and ScotRail has confirmed additional carriages will be added,
01:18
as well as services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida.
01:21
Gates at the stadium will be open from 5pm and queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Central before the concert
01:28
and at Mount Florida after.
01:30
Extra staff will be working to ensure everything runs smoothly.
01:34
Mount Florida Station is a five-minute walk from the National Stadium,
01:38
and attendees are being encouraged to return promptly after the gig.
