00:00Okay, Poppy, so we're here with your first ever book. It's called Dead Reel. Just explain what it's all about.
00:08Yeah, sure. So Dead Reel is all about Nora, the main character. On the day that she decides she's going to tell her best friend Ruby that she's in love with her, a zombie apocalypse breaks out and it gets in the way of her plans.
00:23Yes. The whole time the book has been pitched as Heartstopper meets Shaun of the Dead, so it's kind of zombie comedy.
00:31Sounds fantastic.
00:32For young adults as well.
00:33Great stuff. Now, you've also illustrated the book, haven't you, as well as write it?
00:37I have, yes. During the making of it, we came up with the idea of making it look like a sketchbook that survived a zombie apocalypse.
00:47Brilliant.
00:47The main character, Nora, does lots of drawings throughout and there's lots of blood splats and coffee stains and tyre prints and all that.
00:56It was all good fun to do.
00:57Absolutely. So if anybody does want a copy of it, how do they go about doing that?
