00:21Welcome development para kay House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability Chairperson Joel Chua ang anya'y mabilis na aksyon ng Ombudsman sa rekomendasyon ng Kamara na kasuhan si Vice President Sara Duterte at iba pang opisyal kaugnay sa maling paggamit ng confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President at Department of Education.
00:46Pero nag-aalala siya sakaling maunang lumabas ang resulta ng investigasyon ng Ombudsman sa desisyon ng Senate Impeachment Court.
00:55Meron po isang kaso, yung Ombudsman v. Court of Appeal, kung saan sinabi po dito ng ating kagalang-galang na Korte Suprema na yung mga impeachable officers kagaya po ng Ombudsman, bago po sila makasuhan, dapat i-impeach muna sila.
01:13So, hindi ko alam kung paano ito i-reconcile dito po sa case po ng ating Vice Presidente.
01:22Kung sa kasakali na ilabas nila muna ang desisyon bago lumabas ang desisyon ng Impeachment Court.
01:31Insofar as the other respondents, except for the Vice President, po pwede naman pong umabante.
01:42But dun po sa Vice President, hindi pa muna siya unless and until lumabas yung resulta ng impeachment.
01:51Dagdag ni Chua na noong Nobyembre, nagsabi ang Ombudsman na appointee ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na wala siyang nakikitang dahilan para investigahan ang DCE.
02:03Kaya nagulat si Chua at ilang kongresista na umaksyon agad ang Ombudsman sa committee report ng Kamara kahit wala pang kasabang evidencia rito.
02:12Tila na shortcut daw ang proseso sa Office of the Ombudsman.
02:16Based po dun sa ating pagkakaalam po, dapat may fact-finding investigation pa po muna dapat ito eh.
02:23So from there, saka lamang yung preliminary investigation.
02:29Ito po parang nawala na yung fact-finding investigation.
02:32Nagproceed na agad sa preliminary investigation.
02:36Ayoko naman pong mag-speculate no?
02:41Pero tayo naman eh, basta tayo, we will cooperate fully.
02:46Tiniyak ni House Impeachment Prosecutor Joel Chua na hindi makakasagabal ang imbesigasyon ng Ombudsman sa paghahanda ng House Prosecution Panel sa impeachment trial.
02:56Pwede naman daw kasing pagsabayin ang dalawa.
02:59Ang isang impeachment prosecutor, wala raw nakikitang efekto ng imbesigasyon ng Ombudsman sa impeachment proceedings.
03:07Kahit pa ibasura ng Ombudsman ang reklamo laban sa BCE.
03:10I don't see any impact on the impeachment complaint.
03:15I'm glad that the Ombudsman took action on the recommendations on the Committee on Good Government.
