Ingredients:

170g (¾ cup) unsalted butter

1 tbsp white miso paste

150g (¾ cup) brown sugar

50g (¼ cup) white sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

200g (1½ cups) all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

150g (1 cup) chocolate chunks or chips

Optional: flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions:

Brown the butter until golden and nutty, then let it cool.

Mix in both sugars, miso paste, egg, and vanilla.

Fold in flour, baking soda, and salt. Add chocolate.

Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.

Scoop and bake at 175°C / 350°F for 10–12 minutes.

Top with flaky sea salt while warm & enjoy that perfect soft-chewy bite!
