00:00:00Hello friends, yeah, welcome to Friday Night Live on Clear episode 213.5, yeah, so, I
00:00:20mean, Bible, Christian Bible, like Old Testament, New Testament, the Christian Bible, okay,
00:00:25so, in both Old and New Testaments, okay, so, King Solomon said in Book of Ecclesiastes,
00:00:33there's nothing new under the sun. I disagree. He, King Solomon wrote that book, Book of Ecclesiastes,
00:00:43when he's old, and the tone of that book is very, he's very depressed. Why? I think because
00:00:53he didn't do exercise and diet, okay, so, he was old when he wrote that book, he's very cynical,
00:01:02cynicism, and I disagree with that, but not everybody aged badly like that, okay, some people
00:01:09age gracefully, okay, but he kind of aged badly, I think, King Solomon, okay, so, when he wrote
00:01:16that book, he was so depressed, that everything is in vain, he's just suffering from mental illness,
00:01:22and depression, okay, mental case, okay, so, yeah, some mathematicians, not all, but some
00:01:33mathematicians, maybe most of them, may think that, okay, if, for past 2,000 years, if nobody
00:01:44discovered constant time algorithm to find greatest common divisor, and they may conclude
00:01:53that maybe then it's impossible, well, I don't see it that way. Why? Because I'm arrogant. I think
00:02:06I think I'm better than all those mathematicians that existed past 2,000 years, and I'm serious. I think
00:02:13I'm better mathematicians than they are. I think I'm smarter than they are. So, that's my attitude in
00:02:20mathematics, okay? So, no wonder other mathematicians do not like me very much. Basically, I'm saying, me,
00:02:33honkily, I'm better than you, other mathematicians, okay? But, don't get me wrong, okay? There are some good
00:02:40mathematicians out there, and some of my friends, I would say, amateur mathematicians, too. That's great, yeah.
00:02:52Sometimes they find some errors in my papers. That's fantastic. I'm glad that they're better than me, in many ways.
00:03:00Even in mathematics, okay? I'm glad, okay? Yeah, that's great. But, what I'm saying is that the fact that other people
00:03:13didn't discover this concept, I mean, this suppose algorithm, it does not mean they don't exist, because we can do better than they did.
00:03:27Yeah, we can be smarter than they are. Okay? Yeah.
00:03:32I'm not an idolater. I'm an iconoclast, okay? They may think that, oh, it's Gauss, Euler. Oh, we cannot be better than Euler or Gauss. I disagree. They're only humans.
00:03:56Okay? I mean, constant time co-primality testing. Euler did not find it. Gauss did not find it. I did. Well, we did together here, okay? About two weeks ago. For 2,000 years, even more than that.
00:04:21Anti-human history.
00:04:25Nobody found it before we did. Constant time algorithm, actually formula for co-primality testing. We found it, okay? Yeah.
00:04:39We found it, okay? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I didn't prove it yet, but proving, that's later, and it won't be difficult at all, okay? Yeah. We'll do 4,000 proof later, okay?
00:04:51Because we are up to something more important than that, okay?
00:05:03Constant time algorithm for create common deviser, okay?
00:05:07Okay, cheers.
00:05:13Okay, now let's take 5 minutes break, and yeah, sure, let's go to the sound.
00:05:16Yeah.
00:05:18Yeah.
00:05:19Yeah, it's too much. Honkily's birthday weekend, sure, sure, sure.
00:05:23Birthday weekend special, yeah, past three, sure, sure.
00:05:27Yeah.
00:05:28Yeah.
00:05:29Yeah, 5 minutes break, thank you.
00:05:34Oh, yeah.
00:05:36Open.
00:05:38Open.
00:05:40Yeah.
00:05:42Open.
00:05:43Open.
00:06:13Open.
00:06:43Open.
00:07:13Open.
00:09:52Sure.
00:10:12Very healthy.
00:10:13Oh, yeah.
00:10:14Yeah.
00:10:15Socialization, it is mandatory.
00:10:16Right?
00:10:17Yeah.
00:10:18that. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we don't want to do mathematics all the time. I'm not
00:10:39satisfied with this hairstyle. Okay, so let me redo it.
00:10:48Okay. Oh, bad off, yeah.
00:11:13Okay.
00:11:14Okay. Adjusting the cushions. Okay. Fantastic.
00:11:41Hello, friends. Yeah, welcome to Friday Night Live-A-Thunk Lee, episode number 213.5. Yeah,
00:12:02happy Sunday evening. Yeah. So, good evening. Yeah. So, like, welcome. Good evening. Yeah.
00:12:20Good times, right? Yeah. So, we did some mathematics in the daily motion. Yeah. About one hour.
00:12:32Cheers. Yeah. Yeah, in the project of looking for the constant time algorithm or formula for
00:12:46greatest common divisor. Okay. So, it's, yeah, we're making some progress there. Okay. So,
00:12:53we're not there yet. Okay. So, yeah. Yeah. But, yeah. Cheers.
00:13:03Yeah. So, it's Honky Lee's, uh, 47th birthday weekend. Yeah, sure. Part 3. Birthday weekend special. Sure,
00:13:17sure. Uh, let me clean these eyeglasses. Okay. So, yeah.
00:13:25Hello. Yeah. Welcome, welcome. Uh, good evening.
00:13:54Give it to me. Yeah, yeah, you have to be Azure popular. Okay. Otherwise, I have to let
00:14:04you go. Okay. Yeah. Uh, young eyes in school and we have rules and we enforced rules here. Okay.
00:14:21Okay. Yeah.
00:14:41Now, you have to be as your preparer, okay? Yeah.
00:14:51Yep.
00:14:57Yeah.
00:15:03Mm-hmm.
00:15:06Yeah.
00:15:11Welcome, welcome. And let's see.
00:15:15Yeah, I have to let you go, okay?
00:15:23To distract him, okay?
00:15:25Yeah.
00:15:26Yeah.
00:15:28And let's see.
00:15:39Uh-huh.
00:15:43Welcome. Good evening.
00:15:44Good evening.
00:15:45Yeah. Good evening.
00:15:46Yeah.
00:15:50And, uh, yeah, let's get back to the childhood story. Sure, sure.
00:15:55So, yesterday we, I talked about me being bullied in middle school, seventh grade.
00:16:02It's not a big deal, really, okay? So, uh, it's part of the Spartan education system back in the days in South Korea.
00:16:13Well, yeah, uh, educated to be tough, rough and tough and strong, okay?
00:16:19Yeah, sure, sure. I became stronger person.
00:16:22Yes, because I was bullied, okay? Because I went back to Taekwondo school and learned martial arts, okay?
00:16:28So, that, that's great. I'm glad it happened there, okay? Yeah.
00:16:36Because as a result, I became a stronger person.
00:16:39Became more serious about religion, my study, also martial arts, and became a better person out of that, okay?
00:16:46Yeah, so, it's a good, uh, it's a good purpose, okay? Yeah, bullism, okay? Sure, sure, sure, sure.
00:16:55Yeah, kind of like ancient Greece, Spartan system, okay? Yeah.
00:17:02But don't bully other people, okay? Because that's immoral, unethical, and also, strictly speaking, it's illegal, too.
00:17:11Okay? Yeah.
00:17:13Okay.
00:17:14Bullism is illegal, it's called harassment, or
00:17:18battery. Assault.
00:17:20It's not
00:17:26good, um, people should not bully other people, Okay?
00:17:29Because that's
00:17:31immoral, unethical, also illegal, okay?
00:17:34Okay, okay, okay, but yeah, I did benefit from being bullied.
00:17:43Okay, I became a better person as a result.
00:17:47Okay, that's a fact.
00:17:53Okay, yeah.
00:17:56Yeah, I'm glad it happened to me.
00:18:00Okay.
00:18:02Yeah, looking at more positive side of things.
00:18:06Right?
00:18:08Yeah.
00:18:10We are optimists, okay.
00:18:12Arthur Schopenhauer, German philosopher.
00:18:15He's known for his pessimism.
00:18:18But I like him because he's a good writer and he knows about genius.
00:18:24What it means to be a genius.
00:18:26And creativity is a good writer, Arthur Schopenhauer, okay.
00:18:30But I do not like his pessimism.
00:18:32That's something I disagree with.
00:18:34Okay?
00:18:36Yeah.
00:18:37Everybody has good and bad, right?
00:18:39Yeah.
00:18:40Arthur Schopenhauer has good and bad.
00:18:42Okay.
00:18:43If you are interested in Arthur Schopenhauer, reading his books, take it with grain of salt.
00:18:51When you read the Quran, when you read the Bible, Upanishad, Rig Veda, or Shakespeare, whatever, okay.
00:19:03Read it with grain of salt.
00:19:06Be a critical reader.
00:19:09Don't take everything that they have to say.
00:19:13Honkily, same thing.
00:19:15I write novels, essays.
00:19:17Papers.
00:19:18I can't read papers, okay.
00:19:20Yeah.
00:19:21Read Honkily's writings with grain of salt.
00:19:24There are some goods and bad things in there, too.
00:19:27People are people.
00:19:28We are only humans, okay.
00:19:29Nobody is perfect, okay.
00:19:31But we evolve, we become better, generation after generation.
00:19:37Evolution concept in humanology.
00:19:39Welcome to humanology school, okay?
00:19:45Now let's take five minutes prior, okay?
00:19:48And then I continue narrating the kind of coming of age.
00:19:56No longer child anymore, now a teenager.
00:20:01So seventh year, middle school, when I was like 13.
00:20:07Yeah, I was bullied.
00:20:08That's fine.
00:20:09But Korean middle school, three years.
00:20:12Korean high school, three years.
00:20:13Okay, so now we are talking about Honkily's teenagerhood.
00:20:18Like coming of age story.
00:20:20Sure, sure.
00:20:21We can do that, okay?
00:20:22Welcome.
00:20:23Good evening.
00:20:24Yeah, let's take five minutes prior, okay?
00:20:25Yeah.
00:20:26Then I tell you my eighth grade story.
00:20:30Second year in Korean middle school.
00:20:32Okay?
00:20:33Sure, sure.
00:20:34That was nice one, okay?
00:20:36Yeah.
00:20:37No more Buddhism, okay?
00:20:38Because I got back to Taekwondo and stuff, okay?
00:20:42Okay?
00:20:43Welcome.
00:20:44Yeah, Mighty Proud Future Leaders.
00:20:45Yeah, five minutes prior.
00:20:46Okay?
00:20:47Yeah, thank you.
00:20:48Yeah, Martial Arts, Education College.
00:20:50Okay?
00:20:51Yeah.
00:20:52Oh, yeah.
00:20:53Mm-hmm.
00:20:54Yeah, be strong, okay?
00:20:55Yeah.
00:20:56Oh, I mean, Teddy Bear is very nice, okay?
00:20:59Yeah.
00:21:00Be strong, okay?
00:21:01Yeah.
00:21:02Martial Arts, okay?
00:21:03Yeah.
00:21:04Thank you, thank you.
00:21:05Yeah.
00:21:06As I Was.
00:21:07I was proud of you, Tony Doors.
00:21:08Five minutes.
00:21:09My stars, education and college development.
00:21:11Okay?
00:22:44Okay.
00:22:59welcome welcome oh yes so eighth grade the second year in Korea middle school
00:23:15right yeah it's nice one actually okay so yeah and though the second year in
00:23:27middle school is it was a lot easier than first year middle school okay no more
00:23:32Buddhism because I got back to Taekwondo learning martial getting back to
00:23:38martial arts and so yeah nobody messes with me okay yeah so school year yeah
00:23:52like spring semester fourth semester right and first semester in eighth grade
00:23:59second year in Korean middle school Seoul Pampo Gangnam South River okay yeah it was
00:24:10nice but in the second semester eighth grade I that's when I started to study
00:24:16seriously because I learned about what's called science high school special
00:24:29purpose high school okay I wanted to get in there
00:24:36it's elitist school very elitist you have to take some entrance exam to get into
00:24:42that those kind of high school okay so okay yeah
00:24:50highly selective so I learned about it okay because I like science yeah so let's study
00:25:03and my parents and my parents supported me in the venue that adventure right so my parents funded this extra education with their money okay so
00:25:21uh okay yeah it's like uh school after school
00:25:29uh okay it's like uh school after school
00:25:31hot one okay okay is that like public school okay middle school but hot one is like privately funded by our parents okay so because I belong to upper middle class okay my parents both worked and then uh they were funded that uh
00:25:49uh have one that's like uh smaller class uh it's like school after school okay like
00:25:57private school after public school so that means weekday nights and weekends
00:26:07okay yeah
00:26:08okay smaller class okay smaller class okay uh uh public school in south korea back then about 50 students in a classroom okay but uh private school after public school hagwon uh about uh 10 students per class okay
00:26:29yeah
00:26:33hmm
00:26:38yeah
00:26:43and it was nice
00:26:47okay yeah
00:26:50and in that hot one like private school after public school like weekday nights and weekends uh
00:26:59we are very good students
00:27:01and our parents
00:27:04and our parents are our upper middle class
00:27:07we they're paying for it our extra education
00:27:12so we are already like kind of selected elites
00:27:15or
00:27:17yeah
00:27:19okay
00:27:20so uh higher quality education
00:27:22because we are there
00:27:29because we are there
00:27:30because we enjoy studying
00:27:31because we are there because we enjoy studying
00:27:34like
00:27:34like
00:27:34science
00:27:37mathematics
00:27:39english language
00:27:40or
00:27:40or
00:27:40okay yeah
00:27:41yeah that was the focus yeah
00:27:44yeah uh korean literature too
00:27:46okay so uh we are there because we enjoy studying and we are good at it
00:27:51and our parents we have they will offer middle class
00:27:54they have some extra
00:27:57disposable income and they invested on our education
00:28:00they paid for it
00:28:01okay
00:28:04okay
00:28:05yeah so yeah it's like a very streamlined process
00:28:09but public school there are people from everywhere
00:28:13including like
00:28:14law
00:28:17middle class
00:28:18the or some other people the students mandatory education public schools so
00:28:24yeah many of them don't even want to study they don't want to be there you know
00:28:30but in private
00:28:33school after public school weekday nights weekends
00:28:39we were very motivated to study
00:28:44okay and also smaller class so it worked really well to further our education
00:28:51that's how it was back then in 1990s so south korea okay uh not just so
00:29:02south korea in general 1990s okay i don't know about now okay
00:29:10but right now i'm in alaska america and
00:29:13i don't even know how education system works in america because i don't have any system
00:29:19okay
00:29:22all i can tell is about education is from my experience
00:29:27when i was in school
00:29:31yeah
00:29:33so welcome to human art school okay yeah interesting stories right yeah
00:29:37mighty proud future leaders yeah major arts as continuing education continuing career development
00:29:42okay and education it does not happen have to happen in school
00:29:46so look uh i'm not in school i i still study mathematics okay i'll show you around
00:29:54yeah
00:29:57yeah i continue to study like mathematics
00:30:00foreign languages history and other stuff okay
00:30:06well
00:30:08yeah mighty proud future leaders yeah five years break thank you
00:30:13yeah
00:30:18time check in telemotion
00:30:24yeah it's been a thoroughness very good yeah five years break thank you
00:30:28mmhmm
00:30:33to
00:30:36me
00:30:37yeah
00:30:37yeah
00:30:41yeah
00:30:44yeah
00:30:49yeah
00:30:49yeah
00:30:50yeah
00:30:51yeah
00:30:54yeah
00:32:27I mean, some people are too cool for school, okay?
00:32:29Some there's a guitar brand that I did purchase, like, a long time ago from Amazon, I think.
00:32:37Amazon.com.
00:32:38So, yeah, some people are too cool for school.
00:32:40That's fine.
00:32:41It's diversity, okay?
00:32:42So, when I was in high school, I made this travel to Los Angeles and California with my parents, okay?
00:32:51So, there's another long story there, but to simplify the narrative, yeah, I traveled with my parents in Los Angeles, California, okay?
00:33:05So, again, I have told this story before, but maybe I'll tell you again, okay?
00:33:12Because it's an interesting story, okay?
00:33:14Maybe tomorrow, okay?
00:33:15So, but, okay, long story short, I traveled to Los Angeles, California with my parents when I was in high school, okay?
00:33:25And there, we met with my father's friend, very good gentleman, okay, in Los Angeles, California, who lived there, okay?
00:33:38And he's kind of Korean expert, okay, he's like Korean-American, okay?
00:33:43And he's a successful businessman in Los Angeles, California, okay?
00:33:48And we had lots together.
00:33:51My father's friend, great gentleman and businessman, and my parents and me, four of us, I think it was probably like a Korean-American restaurant in Los Angeles, California.
00:34:05Maybe in Koreatown, K-Town, okay?
00:34:07It was nice.
00:34:09I remember.
00:34:11There was back in, like, 1996 or 1995, when I was in high school in Seoul, South Korea, okay?
00:34:20And they went to the same high school in Bangju, Jeollanando, okay?
00:34:26Yeah, Southwest, South Korea, okay?
00:34:30And my father's friend told me, yeah, Hong Kong Lee?
00:34:37Yeah, welcome to Los Angeles, California, and yeah, your father and me, we went to high school together.
00:34:47So, Gwangju, the number one high school in Gwangju, the number one high school in Gwangju, is very high, elitist, famous, one of the best high school in South Korea, okay?
00:35:00Yeah, it's quite legendary one, okay?
00:35:04Yeah, and my father's friend told me, yeah, your father and me, we went to high school together,
00:35:12but your father studied better than I did.
00:35:15But guess what?
00:35:17I make more money than your father now.
00:35:20That's a businessman, okay?
00:35:21My father went ahead and went to Cornell University, got a PhD in economics.
00:35:51And become a top 10 university in South, South Korea, but not making as much money as a businessman in Los Angeles, California, okay?
00:36:04So, okay, basically, he's making fun of my father.
00:36:10That's fine, okay?
00:36:11We all laughed.
00:36:12Good times, right?
00:36:33Yeah, and then we had a nice lunch together, okay?
00:36:36Yeah, four of us.
00:36:38My father's friend, my parents, my mother, my father, and me, okay?
00:36:45In Los Angeles, California, back in 1995 or 1996, okay?
00:36:49And then it's tough to check out.
00:36:53We're a nice lunch together, okay?
00:36:55And then my father's friend said, hey, I'm going to pay for all of you.
00:37:02Meal, yeah, welcome to Los Angeles, okay?
00:37:04Yeah, I'm going to pay for all of you.
00:37:07I'm a businessman, successful businessman.
00:37:09Yeah, I can.
00:37:10I want to pay for all of you, okay?
00:37:12And then my father, because his man's pride, right?
00:37:17He insisted that he would pay.
00:37:25Okay, then who ended up paying for the lunch?
00:37:29I don't remember.
00:37:35Because my father, he make good money.
00:37:38It's just that my father's friend make more money than my father, okay?
00:37:43But both of them, upper middle class, they can pay for the lunch.
00:37:49Both of them, but they kind of, like, wanted to pay.
00:37:57Who paid?
00:37:59Was it my father's friend or my father?
00:38:01I don't remember that part.
00:38:04But I remember they wanted to pay.
00:38:08Who paid?
00:38:20Ah, fond memories, huh?
00:38:22Yeah.
00:38:23Great stories.
00:38:25True stories, yeah.
00:38:29Yeah, I'm a writer, but I'm not that creative.
00:38:32I'm not making this up.
00:38:34Okay, something really happened.
00:38:35Good, good occasion.
00:38:38Good story.
00:38:39Yes.
00:38:40Oh, yeah.
