On Sunday in Syria, a suicide bomber attacked the Mar Elias Greek Orthodox Church in Damascus, killing 20 people and wounding at least 52 others. According to witnesses, the man (who possibly did not act alone) entered the church, opened fire and then detonated his explosive vest. The Syrian Interior Minister confirmed that the attacker belonged to the Islamic State.
