00:00Congratulations, because the trailer looks amazing.
00:03First thing first, the first line is that you don't trust your faith.
00:08So this question is for both of you, that do you believe in ghost and do you also?
00:14I kind of do and I kind of don't.
00:17Like, I'm very confused about it.
00:20They say manu ya manu.
00:22Have you ever experienced anything like ghost or any supernatural experiences?
00:30I've kind of had something but I don't know if it was a dream or it actually happened.
00:36So it's quite funny actually, it was at home only I was sleeping and at 4am I just felt like a slight pressure.
00:43Like someone is very gently trying to like wake me up.
00:46So I was so scared that I didn't open my eyes to see what's happening with me.
00:51So, it was just very quick and then I just kind of slept it off and then I woke up and the next day I came home.
00:59And I opened my room and I said whatever it was, whatever it was done, please don't come.
01:03If I don't talk about anything, I'm going to come and say something.
01:06Don't be scared.
01:09Same question is from you.
01:10Have you ever experienced this film?
01:12Because you are producing this film so obviously this question.
01:16Of course, there are a lot of things that exist and we live in a parallel universe.
01:20But I've not seen anything but I felt something but with respect to everything.
01:26Okay.
01:27Generally, I don't know in Indian cinema or you can say in Hindi cinema, I've seen that whenever there is a story around ghost or supernatural stories, the set up is mostly around the hills.
01:41Have you noticed this?
01:42And in this, also if I'm not wrong, this is based in, you know, some hills.
01:47No, it's not hills per se.
01:49More of like forests, more of like hills.
01:55Yeah, I think it depends on story to story as well.
01:58I think a lot of eerie stories come out of like, you know, hilly areas.
02:02There are more trees, there are more forests, there are more, there's more mystery over there.
02:08That layer of fog adds, you know, a certain eerie element.
02:12So I think that's why it just supports a lot of these stories, but yeah, not necessarily.
02:18So you are an avid traveller.
02:19I mean, I follow you on social media and I see how much you travel and also keep sharing everything every day almost.
02:25Whenever you have travelled to hills or all these kind of area with a lot of dense forest.
02:30Yeah.
02:31So have you experienced any eerie thing or?
02:33No, there I haven't actually.
02:34I feel, I feel a lot of peace and a lot of sukoon in nature, anywhere that there is a lot of nature.
02:41So I've never felt anything eerie over there.
02:44You said, sir, that this is inspired from a true story.
02:47It's a true, no, no, it's not a true story, but it's an original film.
02:51It's a original concept generated by our director Khush Sina and developed with Pawan Kribrani.
02:58Okay.
02:59So, and was Sonakshi the first choice?
03:03The moment, you know, the story was narrated to you and Mr. Khush Sina came to you.
03:09So this is always the face of Nikita Roy.
03:13I mean, Sonakshi and Nikita Roy were 100% perfect fit in your first day.
03:19So, my brother, Nikki and I, when I started the company, we were happy.
03:25And we wanted to start somewhere with some great story.
03:29There we came across Nikita Roy and that time we came to know Sonakshi had heard it.
03:34But, you know, wanted it to be much better or something.
03:38Khush improved it, made it much better out of it.
03:41Then finally, of course, that's what.
03:45You use the word great story.
03:47And the question is for both of you.
03:49In today's time, especially last five years, when there is so much of debate about stories.
03:54It's not a story. It's not a story.
03:56Somebody says the stories are huge.
03:58What according to you today makes a great story?
04:02Sonakshi, from you, answer from you also.
04:04I think anything that keeps the audience engaged, interested,
04:08people's attention span is very low.
04:11So, I feel, if you initially don't grip them in your film,
04:16then their attention will get more.
04:18And I think that is very important to have a story that kind of keeps you involved.
04:23Whether it is a thriller, whether it's a mystery, whether it's a drama,
04:29whether it is an emotional story,
04:31that emotion also has to grip you in some way or the other.
04:34So, that is what makes a good story.
04:38I totally agree, of course.
04:41So, it has to be engaging.
04:43If you don't connect something, it doesn't mean anything.
04:46Yeah.
04:47And do you think we had a chat off camera also that family content is absolutely lacking from Indian theatres?
04:56No.
04:57Sometimes they come, sometimes they come.
05:00So, we have an upcoming film in a company called Battami's Gil,
05:04which is a family drama comedy, which is a sibling story.
05:06Battami's Gil?
05:07Battami's Gil.
05:08Nice name.
05:09Yeah.
05:10So, what's your perspective on the family story, family dramas missing from the Indian theatres and you know?
05:18I don't think they are missing at all actually.
05:20The frequency is because we as an Indian, I think they are 100%.
05:23No, families are not going.
05:25That's a different story.
05:26There are, there's no lack of films that are being made and there's no lack of family films that are being made.
05:33I just feel that content wise, there's a lot more options.
05:39Also, the theatre going experience has become very, very expensive for, you know, a regular family.
05:46So, I think there are a lot of factors that affect why people are not, you know, going to theatres as much.
05:52But they are there, the stories are there, the films are there.
05:55And for a film like Nikita Roy, I think it's a very good community viewing experience.
06:00Where you go with your friends, with your family, you get the thrills and the chills and the entertainment value that, you know, you would get from a theatrical.
06:10So, yeah, I think the films are there.
06:14I don't think.
06:16If I'm not mistaken, you are working, you have worked with Parish sir for the first time.
06:21Yes.
06:22So, how was your entire experience?
06:23Fantastic.
06:24I think it was such an honour for me to share screen space with an actor of his calibre.
06:28And, you know, in terms of the, his body of work and how amazing he is.
06:35It was an amazing experience for me.
06:38You are a Parish sir.
06:39We were grateful to have Sunakshi ma'am and Parish sir on board.
06:43Both being phenomenal actors and make it so, you know, effortless.
06:48You like Parish sir more in, you know, comic roles or in this kind of way.
06:53That is so tough.
06:54No, I think he's such a versatile actor that I can't choose.
06:57He's amazing in every role that he plays.
07:01Yeah, that's what, that is why there was so much of, you know, online discussion going
07:06about that.
07:07Why is that not part of Hera Fairy 3?
07:08But if I ask you as an audience that do you, can you imagine Hera Fairy 3 without Parish sir?
07:14As an audience?
07:15No, I can't.
07:16Absolutely not.
07:17And also talking about other like Arjun, Mr. Arjun Rampal and your co-actors.
07:24So how was your experience working with them?
07:26Amazing.
07:27I think Sohail is very, very talented.
07:28I had more scenes, way more scenes with him.
07:31But yeah, he's immensely talented and I think he's so apt for the role and he's done such a good job.
07:38playing this character of this UK based Indian content creator.
07:45He's done a fantastic job.
07:47So it was a pleasure working with him, of course with Arjun as well.
07:50He's playing my brother in the film and yeah, it was lovely.
07:56I would like to know about Arjun Rampal.
07:58Like obviously he has done so much of work and how was he as cast as Sonakshi's brother?
08:06So Arjun, I know him since many years and I've grown up around him.
08:11He's done our family's film.
08:13So the first thing came across my mind was to approach Arjun and we were fortunate.
08:18He immediately said yes.
08:20That's how we got him on board.
08:22And since it's a film which is a-
08:24But it is a guest appearance.
08:25Okay, it's a guest appearance.
08:27Okay.
08:28But since it's a film around Ghost and you know, there have been a lot of night shoots if I believe.
08:33So if you can share some of on-set experiences, some interesting on-set experiences.
08:40Honestly, like if you're looking for spooky experiences, they really didn't happen on-set.
08:45Because when you're shooting such a film, your entire unit is with you.
08:50So you're in a very safe space actually.
08:52But yeah, we did have quite a few night shoots and I don't mind them.
08:57I think of myself as a nocturnal creature anyway.
09:00So my mind functions better at night, especially when it comes to shoot.
09:04Okay, we have spoken to a lot of actors and they say that, you know, managing work if you're continuously working.
09:12And also managing social media at the same time.
09:14I know not everything is done by you.
09:16You have a team as well.
09:17It's quite a tedious job.
09:19So you are very, very active.
09:21So how do you manage that?
09:22And you also have many other films coming up.
09:24Yeah, but no, I don't, I'm able to manage it because I don't concentrate on it so much.
09:32You know, I share something that I want to share when I want to share it.
09:38I'm not under any sort of pressure to share something, you know, all the time.
09:43So I think that's what eases the whole process and makes it, you know, more fun thing to do.
09:51And tell us about your upcoming projects and also your South debuts.
09:54Yes.
09:55I just finished shooting for my Telugu film, Jatta Dhara.
09:59And that should release this year as well.
10:02And I have two other films up for release, which I can't really talk to you about right now
10:07because I'm waiting for them to make the announcements.
10:10But yeah, exciting stuff coming ahead for me as well.
10:14And how was your experience, you know, shooting the entire film with your brother?
10:19I know every sibling day.
10:25No, I'm good, I'm good.
10:27But you know, I'd like to say, on set, both were so professional and punctual.
10:33We didn't feel that they were related.
10:35They were like two separate professionals.
10:37Yeah, I think set, you remember, you know, what you're there to do.
10:42And of course, I was the first film and as an actor, I've worked with a lot of new directors.
10:48So, I can always support them as much as I can.
10:53And you know, with my experience, with my knowledge of what I've been working for the last 15 years.
10:59Be it any new director because they bring a very fresh energy and a very new perspective to films.
11:05So, I was working with them and I also felt good.
11:09So, it was, and Kushra also was very clear in his vision with what he wanted to make.
11:13So, that was a good part.
11:15Yeah.
11:16I mean, I didn't fight.
11:17It was a little bit of a vibe in that fight.
11:18Not really.
11:19You know, it actually felt like we were talking about a little bit, but it didn't happen.
11:22Because on set, you're actually like in that whole work zone and so professional zone.
11:27There's so much to do.
11:28Yeah.
11:29There's so much happening.
11:30I mean, it didn't mean to learn little things.
11:35So, you're talking about like, obviously, everyone knows that you have an excellent bond with your brothers and your siblings have excellent bond.
11:43But when you read and which was written so much one year back, does it affect you?
11:48Does it affect you?
11:49Does it disturb you?
11:50No, I don't think about it.
11:51Yeah.
11:52Because, you know, we have heard that, you know, a lot of celebs say that it does affect us mentally.
11:57It does affect them mentally.
11:58No, I don't think about it.
11:59I don't give it too much thought.
12:01Yeah.
12:02And also, sir, I would like to know that on set, you said that there were complete professionals.
12:10But, what is your input as a producer?
12:17So, me and my brother, Nikki, we are two or two, 11.
12:23One looks after the business development, which is my brother.
12:26And I look after the greater side.
12:28So, I have been around with course in the development and has been the great journey.
12:33Yeah, no, they have been very involved as producers and in a good way.
12:37There are a lot of people who go very well.
12:40And I think they were the right balance of, you know, to give that freedom to a new director, especially to make the kind of film that he wants to make.
12:47And so, yeah, it was a lovely experience even.
12:50So, was, when Kush has narrated, did you have the first meeting with Sunakshi or you met with Sunakshi or you were acquainted with Eeshadar?
13:00First we heard the story, then of course later we met.
13:02Yeah.
13:03There is a protocol.
13:04Okay.
13:05Okay.
13:06And you spoke about your upcoming film, which is a family comedy?
13:10Family drama.
13:11Family drama.
13:12Family drama.
13:13So, I would like to understand about, you know, these kind of different terms that have come.
13:18The audience is very confused.
13:19Okay, this is psychological, this is supernatural.
13:21Okay, this is a horror, this is a thriller.
13:23Yeah, exactly.
13:24We want to confuse it.
13:26Let's go and see what this is.
13:29So, also, before we finish, because the time is almost up.
13:33Son of Sardar 2 poster has come and you were part of it and you were amazing in the first part.
13:40I want to know about you that I know that, you know, everyone would like to be part of all the, you know, version of the, all the parts of the franchise.
13:49But, just like that, you are not in it.
13:52So, there was something in your mind that there was such a question when you were not part of it.
13:57I mean, it means that the story will be something else.
14:01The characters will not happen.
14:03And that's completely fair.
14:05And I think as professionals, we have worked in industry so many years, we all understand.
14:10So, it's a small thing.
14:12It's not really a big deal.
14:14It doesn't affect you.
14:15No, not at all.
14:16Yeah.
14:17And before we finish, we want to know that our audience, you know, before we wrap this up,
14:22tell us some lines about our film.
14:24So, why audience should go to theatre and watch it.
14:27Please watch Nikita Roy for Sonakshi Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonakshi Sinha.
14:32No, don't be mean.
14:33Everybody is there.
14:34No, no.
14:35It's got some great performances and I think it's an edge of your seat thriller which will keep you gripped throughout.
14:44So, let's watch our film Nikita Roy.
14:47For more time, it's a Hindi movie with great suspense and thrill elements with it.
14:53And shot internationally by our director.
14:56Yeah.
14:5727th of June, 2025.
15:00Okay, I said this is our last question.
15:02But when, while talking, you have said that Sonakshi Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonakshi,
15:05I don't think that in 15 years of your career, I think you have done great work and different kind of characters.
15:11But if I ask you that what next for you and what more do you want, you know?
15:16I think right now as an actor, I'm just looking at roles that challenge me in different ways
15:21and portray me in different ways.
15:23I want roles that actually challenge me and push me to my limits.
15:32So if you see for the last few, eight, nine years, I've been choosing very different roles from each other.
15:38So I enjoy that and I look forward to doing newer things also.
15:45No, I said that what new, is there something in your mind that you want to do new?
15:49Like last week I was in an interview with Kaj also.
15:52I asked her what next you want to do?
15:54And is there something going in your mind that I will get this next, I will do it.
15:58So she said that she wants to do comedy.
15:59Comedy you have done.
16:00No, like I would love to do a period film.
16:02I would love to do a biopic.
16:04So I would love to do that.
16:16Okay, all the best.
16:18And I wish that you get a very very strong role in a biopic
16:23which is the only thing that makes a difference.
16:26Thank you so much.
