Family bids heartbreaking farewell to Nganthoi Kongrailatpam, victim of Ahmedabad Air India crash

Imphal (Manipur) June 23, 2025 (ANI):  The mortal remains of Nganthoi Kongrailatpam arrived at Imphal International Airport today, where the state government paid its final respects with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony.

01:22They are very young and they are just in the worth of starting the carrier.

01:27Unfortunately, in the incident, both of them lost their life.

01:33So it's a big loss for not only our airline fraternity, but to Manipur also.

01:41To this event, what are the things going to take place?

01:44To this event, everyone, all bureaucrats will come.

01:49Yes, from our airport team also, we are giving our best to receive her dignified reception.

02:03Two ladies, young ladies of Manipur, they succumbed to the infected aircraft over there in

02:12It's a very sad moment for all of us.

02:16Two of our state's daughters, one from Kangbukpi and the other from Thawwal.

02:23They were best of friends.

02:24They were working together.

02:25And both passed away in that tragic incident of their India flight on 12th of June.

02:31I'm sure that the entire state in one voice is expressing grief.

02:36And, you know, the mortal remains of one of them came a couple of days back.

02:42It took some time to get the DNA matching for Gantri.

02:45And the moment it was done last evening, the arrangements were made to bring them here.

02:49It's an extremely sad moment, but then yes, two of our brave girls, we've lost them, but

02:55then yes, they were, I mean, it's a sad moment.

02:58You can't say anything on this.

02:59The family members are too sad at this stage.

03:03So our deepest condolences for them, for both Ngantri's family and for the girl from

03:08Kangbukpi.

03:09That is all.

03:11This very incident has brought all the communities together because every community has expressed

03:17shock and paid condolence of these two legs.

03:20It should be, no?

03:21There are no differences when somebody passes away and that too, in a kind of line of duty,

03:26both were serving the Air India when this thing happened along with all the other passengers.

03:32It's a very sad moment.

03:34And obviously everybody stands united in expressing grief and condolences to the two departed souls.

03:40In fact, it has been a very sad day for Manipur itself, the two daughters, two brave daughters

03:49of Manipur, one from Kangbukpi and one from Thaubal.

03:57Both of them serving on the same plane.

03:59They were good friends and unfortunately, this tragedy has taken away two very young lives,

04:06were very promising.

04:08And we all pay homage to these young two girls and we all are very deeply saddened by this.

04:17And it is as if in these troubled times of the state, we can see how communities work together

04:29along with each other in other parts of the country.

04:32And that is something which we should think about it here also.

04:37And we should actually take it forward and we should try that everything should be normal

04:43in the near future.
