00:00Hey everyone. Today's story is one that's difficult, but necessary, to talk about.
00:07It's about trust, boundaries, and the digital spaces where lines get blurred.
00:12This is the case of Anna Maria Malazzo, a 22-year-old school employee now facing felony
00:17charges for allegedly sending explicit content to a 14-year-old student via Instagram.
00:23According to the Chemung County Sheriff's Office, Malazzo was arrested on June 16,
00:282025, after a school resource officer received a tip. Investigators say she sent photos to the
00:35minor over a three-month period while working at a GST BOCES facility in Elmira, New York.
00:42She's now facing a felony charge for disseminating indecent material to a minor and a misdemeanor
00:47for endangering the welfare of a child. Instagram and Reddit lit up with reactions.
00:53Some expressed disbelief, others demanded stricter vetting for school staff.
00:58A few disturbing comments even tried to downplay the situation, which, honestly, is part of
01:04the problem.
01:06When we minimize harm because of age or gender, we fail the victims.
