00:00Hey everyone! Today's story is one of the most heartbreaking and disturbing I've come across.
00:06It's about a grieving family, a trusted doctor, and a violation so deep it's hard to put into words.
00:13This is the case of Dr. Jackson Gates and the Instagram posts that should have never existed.
00:19In July 2023, Jessica Ross and Travion Taylor lost their newborn son during a traumatic
00:24delivery in Georgia. The baby was tragically decapitated during childbirth. Seeking answers,
00:31they hired Dr. Jackson Gates to perform a private autopsy. But what they didn't expect was to find
00:37graphic images and videos of their child's body posted on Instagram, without their consent.
00:43The couple sued Gates for invasion of privacy, emotional distress, and fraud. A Fulton County
00:49jury awarded them $2.25 million, $2 million in compensatory damages and $250,000 in punitive
00:58damages. Gates claimed the posts were for educational purposes and didn't reveal identities. But the
01:05family recognized their child. And the pain? It was unbearable.
