Vadnagar, Gujarat, June 21 (ANI): As the world marks International Yoga Day, Gujarat leads the way in promoting wellness through yoga. Since its launch in 2019, the Gujarat State Yog Board has become a key force in making yoga a part of daily life. Backed by PM Modi’s vision, the board promotes its mission: “Obesity Free Gujarat, Healthy Gujarat.” With 1.5 lakh trained instructors and 5,000 daily free classes, it is improving health and spreading awareness across the state. Gujarat this year held a curtain-raiser event in Ahmedabad on June 11 and marked the 11th International Yoga Day 2025 with a grand event on June 21 in the ancient city of Vadnagar, the birthplace of PM Modi. A total of 2,121 people made a Guinness World Record when they held Yoga’s cobra pose for two minutes and nine seconds in Gujarat’s Vadnagar.
