00:00Many stars feel insecure to play multi-stars, but you never feel that kind of insecure.

00:08In this movie, there are a lot of big stars like Prabhas and Mohalal Ji.

00:13So, what is the screen space you have and what is the experience you…

00:18I have no scenes with them.

00:20Okay.

00:21And I don't see a film how many stars are there.

00:25I see a film and I do a film because if I find the story interesting, that it should be told to the audience.

00:32And it doesn't matter if there are seven heroes also.

00:36I have done many, many films which have many, many characters.

00:40For me, what matters is a hit film.

00:45What matters is a story which has to be narrated to the audience.

00:49That's what matters.

00:51It's never about what is my role.

00:54No.

00:55Sir, since you both acted together, how do you complement each other and what is the observation about each other, sir?

01:00So, my observation about Vishnu is that he is very focused.

01:06Right.

01:07He is hands down with all the work from being a producer to being an actor.

01:13Everything, he himself does it.

01:15I think editing also as he is rightly saying it.

01:18Right.

01:19He has been doing it, songs, recording, everything.

01:24He could easily sit down and relax, but he himself has done it.

01:28So hats off to him to have one focus.

01:31And he has been with this film, Kanappa, since how many years now?

01:35Last 10 years.

01:36Last 10 years.

01:38And in between, how many films have you done?

01:40Six, seven films.

01:42Eight films.

01:48So his focus on this film has been extraordinary.

01:50So that's what I've seen about him.

01:52See, for me, when I was watching Mr. Akshay Kumar, the earlier question also what you had asked?

01:58you know, when you had asked, how did he prepare for it? You know, that was the only similarity

02:06which I feel, you know, there are a lot of similarities between my father and him in terms

02:12of thing. Father is known to be a very strict disciplinarian and, you know, respecting time.

02:18The same thing I saw, Mr. Akshay Kumar is, he respects time and automatically everything falls

02:25in place. And I asked my father one day, you know, so, you know, you gentlemen know about

02:31the characters. So, there was one movie I said, I sat him on. So, what did you, how did you

02:36prepare for that role? He said, I don't know. I just put the makeup on. I went to the location

02:42and I said, this is how this guy is going to do. And I do that. Let it be one of his biggest

02:47blockbusters or everything. That's what I felt like. The same thing which I noticed, Mr. Akshay Kumar

02:54knows that. I saw him in his house and I met him at, you know, the hotel. We were just talking

02:59casually. Then, of course, you see him in many a things. But the minute he put on the makeup

03:04and he came on over there, I don't think he realizes it. Right. He's a different person.

03:10You know, he, you know, a lot of people, when you think that, you know, I have, this is how

03:14Lord Shiva would have behaved. So, you know, they'll be stiff or they'll be. I saw the way I wanted

03:21Mr. Akshay Kumar exactly like how Lord Shiva would be there. I don't think he will realize

03:27that. But when I saw in the film, you know, his body language, everything, you know, it

03:31came on like that. And one thing which I learned from him is that you commit to something,

03:37give 100%. Now that's it. Now I'll talk with the producer's hat about Mr. Akshay Kumar. They

03:45first said he comes works only for eight hours. Everybody was like, okay, only comes eight hours

03:51and all that. We were like, okay, done. He's coming for eight hours. We'll do. So we did our

03:54homework because we are not used to doing eight hours. We are used to doing 10 hours. Sometimes

03:59they come and tell us heroes, you know, to us. You know, heroes are the least respected people on the

04:04location because the character actors, everybody else do two, three shoots, you know, in a day.

04:09The date issue is at least for us in Ayurveda. So we have to accommodate a lot, you know. But when

04:15he came on set, we thought, okay, when is he going to, you know, okay, we factored only six hours

04:20because he might eat or, you know, he might go to the relaxer. He went, he stood there on the

04:27stage where we were doing the thing. He got down only said, Vishnu will have lunch and he

04:34ate and in 25 minutes, he was back over there. So then we realized that, okay, he's not going to,

04:41he's not going to sit. So we said, everybody working, working food for everybody. There's no break.

04:46If he's sitting down, that's when everybody sits down. So for me, the dedication as an actor,

04:52I learned a lot. And then there's a Hindi version of it. So Hindi version, they wrote it a little

05:01grandic style, you know, more like, you know, very, very formal style.

05:04Because my director has a grip on Mahabharata and everything. So, you know, he lived with that

05:10script for long. So next day, I was talking to Mr. Akshay saying that if it's too difficult,

05:15sir, you can tell us, we'll make it more colloquial and all this stuff. I said, no, no,

05:19I already sent the script to another gentleman, a veteran. And I took a few inputs from him. I'm game,

05:25I'm ready. I already know these things. So he did his homework. He came over there with the

05:30dialogues and everything. And the minute he started performing that, you know, for me,

05:35okay, this is my Shiva.

05:36Yeah.
