00:00Uh, we'll start with the Ravens, everyone's darlings, including yours.
00:04And by the way, it's a little bit tighter between them and the Bengals and we'll get
00:08to the Bengals in a second.
00:09So they let the over honors 11 and a half wins the overs minus one 18, the honors minus
00:14one or two to win the division.
00:16They're minus one 45 Scott.
00:18They're not the lock of the bills are, but they're the clear favorite.
00:21It's obviously should win that division.
00:23I love the addition that just happened.
00:25You and I have not been on this on of Jair Alexander this week because what this will
00:29be able to do here.
00:30You put Alexander on the outside in nickel.
00:33When clubs come in with 11 personnel, you could stick Marlon Humphrey's terrific as, as their
00:37nickel defender.
00:39So they're bringing a true Chidobe Woozie, a quality backup corner veteran from the Titans
00:44and the chiefs and you bring, or excuse me, the Bengals and Malachi starts just the first
00:49round safety who I like.
00:51So Scott, they've reloaded.
00:53Cooper Rush will be the backup quarterback, by the way, Deandre Hopkins will be a backup
00:56in the twilight of his career, but they are clearly, they are clearly, Scott, the team.
01:02There's no question about it.
01:03They're the clear favorite.
01:04They're going to do it again.
01:06The question is for the Bengals, Scott.
01:07Can they narrow the gap in the AFC North?
01:11How about the fans still giving Andrews the business and Lamar Jackson is sick and tired
01:18of it?
01:20Well, here's the thing though, Scott, when you look at their tight end situation, Mark Andrews,
01:24by the way, on the final year of his contract, Isaiah likely is a future number 80 at tight
01:29end out of coastal Carolina.
01:30He's phenomenal.
01:31One of the best backup tight ends in the National Football League.
01:33Great athlete.
01:34He's on the final year of his deal.
01:36They'll look to extend his contract.
01:38Really good football player.
01:39He's the future.
01:40Mark Andrews, by the way, is 29 years old.
01:42Been a great story development.
01:44There's no question about it.
01:45And don't forget, they're a heavy 12 personnel team.
01:48They need, they need two good tight ends.
01:50Because any thought of trading Mark Andrews would have happened in the draft.
01:54I know even Art DeCosta talked about that.
01:56Never say never, but it didn't happen.
01:58I would expect Mark Andrews to be here going forward.
02:00So how about the Bengals?
02:03Because I know they got Chase and they got T. Higgins under wraps.
02:09Everybody's excited.
02:10The trade deal still hasn't happened.
02:12But there are people that think, including you, that this is a, the second place team in this division.
02:20Their total's nine and a half.
02:22My problem is, I think they're, those players, you know, Joey, Silk, and those two receivers are great.
02:30And I think Trey's great, but he doesn't have a deal.
02:32I think the rest of the team stinks.
02:35The problem is not their offense, Scott, where they've loaded up.
02:37They, a lot of people in the league were surprised that they brought back Higgins.
02:41It's, it, it's nothing to do with how talented he is.
02:43It's like, are you going to put your money, continually put your money on offense and not defense?
02:47You mentioned the Trey Henderson situation, which is going to get resolved at some point in August, most likely, one way or the other.
02:53They want to extend his contract, by the way, but they're still not there yet.
02:57But the problem is you saw last year, Scott.
02:59At times, at times, the Bengals' defense was not competitive.
03:03And that, to me, Scott, is just the problem.
03:06They've not, they've not developed enough resources on defense.
03:10And that's the problem.
03:11Miles Murphy, a former first-round pick, has not worked out.
03:15And Sam Hubbard, one of the starting defense events, he retired.
03:18They're a train wreck on defense, Scott.
03:19They changed coordinators.
03:21Al Golden, the former Miami head coach, a Temple head coach.
03:24He's a pretty good defensive coach.
03:25He's working the league before he's their defensive coordinator.
03:28Right.
03:28Yeah.
03:28They're going to be somewhere, Scott, around 9 or 10 wins.
03:31But they're, they are not even close to being a Super Bowl team.
03:34They're ways away from that.
03:35They're going to be a Super Bowl team.
