Armagh entrepreneur Claire Geddis is taking her organic skincare brand, Wild Shore, to the next level.
Transcript
00:00When my mentor visited Wildshore and he smelt the products, he was
00:06immediately transported to a luxury hotel that he had went to abroad and it
00:10was the lightbulb moment when my imagination was open to it sitting in a
00:16luxury hotel.
00:21My name is Claire and I'm the proprietor and handcrafter of Wildshore. It's an
00:27organic luxury spa collection and I make it here on the southern shores of Loch Ness.
00:31I had a prior business in the beauty industry for 15 years, so very
00:38accomplished in working with skin and health and well-being and I wanted to
00:43develop my own particular brand that was very much about healing and being organic.
00:48Go Succeed helped me realise the dream of bringing Wildshore to boutique hotels and
00:55into hospitality. So it was just a dream but Go Succeed has helped that actually
00:59become a reality. With the Go Succeed service I was very kindly introduced to a
01:04mentor and he was steering me through the financial implications of being able to
01:10scale up. But the other thing that actually was involved with it that I was
01:13able to apply for a grant after our mentorship time and that allowed me to
01:17buy quite a significant piece of equipment for the business.
01:22Signing up to Go Succeed was extremely easy. I just sent through an email to our
01:26ABC council and I was very kindly like within hours an email came back to me and
01:31then we set up a telephone conversation to see exactly what it is that I needed and
01:36what avenue that I would like to go down and then I was passed on to the mentor
01:41that would help me within that street.
01:44Probably the ultimate goal now would be to make a full treatment spa range and
01:51competing then on a global market as a full spa treatment product range.
01:56Thank you so much for joining us.
