00:00In the near future, Earth is slowly dying due to damage caused by humanity, and people are
00:05desperate to escape. One day, a giant black sphere appears out of nowhere near Mars,
00:11prompting the launch of a mission with six astronauts aboard a spacecraft called Achilles
00:15to investigate it. For eight months, the crew remains in hibernation during the journey.
00:20Carla constantly dreams of her daughter and mother, who tragically died in a car accident
00:25two years ago. With only eight hours left before reaching the sphere, the crew wakes up. As they
00:30stretch their muscles and clear their minds, Carla notices that Ruben is nervous, since it's his first
00:36time in hibernation. She advises him to rest, but Ruben prefers to blog about his experience, as he
00:42has a large number of followers. Later, Carla meets with Commander Paul to analyze the sphere, attempting
00:47to scan it, but the ship's AI finds nothing there. Carla suggests returning, but Paul insists on
00:54completing the mission. The lack of data makes Ruben even more anxious. The crew decides to contact
01:00Vance, head of the expedition program, who reminds them that people on Earth are eagerly waiting for
01:05an answer to the mystery. The mission must be completed. Later, Carla begins hearing her mother's
01:10voice in the hallways, but sees no one. At the same time, Ruben wakes up startled by eerie whispers in his
01:16room. Help me reach my goal of 10 likes and 5 comments. Comment as much as you want. The goal is to

01:35video and mentions that he's worried because she seems tense. While Carla assures him she's fine,
01:40the call is abruptly cut off. The ship's AI announces that the sphere is causing an anomaly.
01:45Carla runs to the main deck, where the sphere fires a beam of bright light at the ship, causing system
01:51issues. The rest of the crew arrives, and Tess points out that the light seems to be guiding the ship on
01:56where to go. As they get closer, the AI detects a sound coming from the sphere. After analyzing it, they
02:02decode a message that repeats, Deus, which means God in Latin. This triggers panic in Ruben, who insists on
02:09turning back before running off. Carla suggests pausing the journey and waiting for the AI to restore
02:15communications to inform Vance, but Paul decides to move forward. Later, the team finds Ruben crying
02:21in the hallway, still terrified. He claims that the light is Judgment Day, sent by God because the
02:26voices told him so, and again pleads to cancel the mission before walking away. The crew discusses
02:32their theories. Ulf believes they have a duty to discover what the sphere is, and if it turns out to
02:37be a hostile alien, they could destroy it. Paul watches the conversation through the cameras,
02:41and calls Ulf to warn him, not to mention the possibility of blowing things up anymore.
02:46When the ship is about to reach the sphere, Carla and Ruben hear voices again. Ulf takes Carla to her
02:52room, and she mentions headaches since her car accident, but omits the voices. Their conversation
02:57is interrupted by Tess, who reports that Ruben has disappeared. Despite Ulf's concerns, Carla joins the
03:03search. The team splits up, and Tess checks the cargo compartment. There she finds Ruben behind some
03:09containers, surrounded by lights, performing a ritual to please the voices in his head.
03:13His skin is carved with religious symbols. Horrified, Tess screams, alerting Carla and Ulf,
03:19who rush to her. Unfortunately, when Carla arrives, it's already too late. Tess is already dead on the
03:26floor, her guts exposed. Ruben realizes Carla is watching him, takes her hostage, and threatens to
03:32kill her too when Ulf arrives. Desperate, Ruben insists they are beyond redemption, and that if they
03:38land on the sphere, they will be part of God's massacre. He also claims that Paul is hiding
03:42something, and that they should take the ship from him. At that moment, Paul appears behind Ruben,
03:47and, without hesitation, shoots him, killing him instantly. He then orders Ulf to get two body bags,
03:54showing no emotion over the loss of two crew members. After picking up Ruben's knife, Carla follows
04:00Paul to the elevator, and asks if he really knows something. Paul denies it, and, annoyed by what he
04:05perceives as doubt about his leadership, reminds Carla that orders are orders. Upon arriving in her
04:10room, Carla explodes, criticizing Paul for his coldness in the face of their companions' deaths.
04:16However, Paul simply walks away. Instead of using body bags, Ulf decides to place the bodies in their
04:22corresponding hibernation chambers. With only three hours remaining before reaching the sphere, the crew
04:27separates the main frame of Achilles, and remains in a smaller ship to better navigate the sphere.
04:32Carla observes a structure on the sphere, but she cannot identify what is. When they finally land on
04:38the sphere, communications are re-established, and they receive a call from Vance, who informs them
04:43that 10,000 structures similar to the ones Carla observe have appeared on Earth. However, these do
04:49not seem to be invading. Vance suspects the sphere is behind this and demands quick answers. Paul orders
04:55Ulf and Carla to go out and investigate, but Sean points out they will need a scientist and additional
05:00volunteers. The trio prepares and leaves the ship while Paul watches them through the cameras.
05:05The sphere is completely dark, making visibility at a distance impossible, and Carla's scanner detects
05:11nothing. Upon touching the ground, Carla comments that it does not correspond to any known element
05:16on Earth. Paul directs them to a nearby structure, which turns out to be a door. Suddenly, a bright light
05:22begins to emanate from the door. Ulf fires a flare to better illuminate the surroundings and observes a symbol
05:28known as the event horizon, which represents a boundary beyond which events cannot affect
05:33an outside observer. Carla describes it as the end of existence, and confirms through a scan that the
05:39door is made of the same material as the sphere. Meanwhile, the crew hears a strange noise, something
05:45that should not be possible in the vacuum of space. Paul reports that the ship's AI picked up a
05:50transmission and is sending it to their communicators. The transmission says,
05:54Welcome. As the light increases in intensity, a woman appears in the center of the door. This being
06:01communicating telepathically sends messages that the AI translates for the crew. She claims to speak
06:06on behalf of the creator of all existence, who has come with a warning and an option for humanity.
06:13The creator offers eternal peace to those who cross the door. According to the entity, Carla has been
06:18chosen to show them the way. The door, she says, is the end of all suffering and pain. However,
06:24those who decide not to enter will die when the sphere reaches Earth to destroy it. Suddenly,
06:30the woman takes on the appearance of Carla's mother and assures her that someone is waiting
06:34for her inside the door. Carla, surprised, approaches the light and experiences a flashback
06:40of the car accident. Inside the light, she finds herself near a golden city with a wound from the
06:46accident still fresh on her head. There she sees her daughter and runs toward her, but just before
06:51reuniting, Carla wakes up on a table aboard the ship. Confused after a seizure, Carla vomits and
06:57wonders how she got there. Ulf explains that she could barely stand when she came out of the door,
07:02so he brought her back to the ship. Unfortunately, Sean didn't make it. Their conversation is interrupted
07:07by a call from Vance, who wants to know all the details. Carla tells him about the golden city and
07:13compares it to Jerusalem, which leads Ulf to call a heaven. Carla doesn't mention her family,
07:18even when Vance insists with questions and doesn't believe her when she says she didn't see anything
07:23else. After the call ends, Paul, irritated, leaves the room and Carla asks about Sean's death.
07:30Ulf explains that his suit broke, but Carla doubts it, since the suits are made from unbreakable material.
07:35Then Ulf says Sean didn't secure his glove properly and decompressed it,
07:39but Carla still doesn't believe him, since Sean was a very experienced explorer. Ulf, suspicious,
07:46reminds her that everyone makes mistakes and advises her to rest. Carla wants to explore the
07:51sphere again, but Ulf tells her the ship is already moving away, following her, in a hallway without
07:56cameras. Ulf asks her what she really saw inside the door. Carla finally tells him about her family
08:02and expresses that she doesn't trust Vance or Paul, as they seem to be hiding something. Moments later,
08:08Ulf returns to the deck, where Paul asks what happened when he and Carla were out of the camera's
08:12range. Ulf assures him Carla didn't say anything new. Paul, suspicious, reminds Ulf that he must
08:19follow his orders. Once the ship leaves the sphere's orbit, the AI announces that the crew should be
08:25ready to hibernate in an hour. Carla takes Ruben's knife, goes to the pods, and examines Sean's body,
08:30especially his suit. Then she breaks the lock on Paul's room with a knife, and begins to search
08:35for clues. Paul, watching her from the security cameras, sends Ulf after her. In Paul's room,
08:42Carla finds a weapon and some interesting files. Ulf appears outside the room, but Carla stops him by
08:47pointing the weapon at him. After reading the files, Carla discovers that Ulf is a former elite
08:52corps soldier, known for being the best of his time. Ulf admits his past, but swears he knows nothing
08:58about the sphere. Carla forces him to return to the main deck, where she points the weapon at Paul.
09:03Paul states that what she's doing is mutiny, and that the punishment is death. Carla responds by
09:08accusing him that Sean was shot and killed, and insists that Ulf did it, as he was a former hitman.
09:14The tense situation is interrupted by a call from Vance, who promises not to be their enemy,
09:19and assures them that his scientists believe Carla really saw the sky. Furthermore, Vance plays a video
09:24showing crowds on Earth desperate to leave the planet after seeing the images of the sphere he
09:29transmitted. Carla is in shock, and Paul takes advantage of it to attack her. After a struggle,
09:35Carla manages to push him away and shoots him in the chest, killing him. However, she realizes she
09:40was injured during the fight, and her stomach is bleeding. After Vance hangs up, Carla points the
09:46gun at Ulf, who confesses to killing Sean, but claims he doesn't want to hurt her, because he also
09:50wants to know the truth about the sphere and what she saw. Finally, Carla decides to trust Ulf,
09:56who takes her to the infirmary to bandage her wound. Once recovered, Carla admits that she wants to
10:01return to the sphere, but Vance controls the ship's AI. Ulf reveals that he has the code to override the
10:07AI, but to do so they would need to lower the heel, since the Achilles tendon is too large to control
10:13manually. This would mean losing the main propulsion, and that the return trip to Earth would take more
10:18than five years. Carla begins to lose hope, but Ulf suggests an alternative plan. Carla returns to the
10:23deck and contacts Vance, threatening to destroy the sphere if necessary, as she believes everything is
10:30a lie. Then, Vance activates classified files and reveals that he built the sphere. There is no God.
10:37It was all his plan to save six billion people and eliminate the remaining 15 billion, because Earth
10:42is overpopulated. There is no God at the gate, and the sphere cannot actually destroy Earth. It was all
10:48a lie designed to make people panic and run toward the gates that appeared all over the planet. They
10:54believed they were entering heaven, but in reality, they were walking toward death. Carla, confused,
11:01does not understand how all of this could have made her hear her family. Vance then admits that he
11:05implanted a chip in her head after the accident, which was also his fault. It was all part of his plan
11:10to train her specifically for this journey. Carla, crying, calls Vance a monster and reminds him of a
11:16story her mother used to tell her, about how everyone deserves a chance to survive. At that
11:21moment, Ulf contacts her to inform her that he has Achilles' core in his hands. Vance, realizing that
11:27Carla and Ulf plan to destroy the sphere, orders the AI to initiate the ship's self-destruct sequence.
11:35Alarms begin to sound, and the AI announces that Achilles' tendon will explode in three minutes.
11:40Furious, Carla shoots the hologram machine to cut off communication with Vance. She then contacts
11:46Ulf, who provides her with the code to separate the main ship from the cargo structure. However,
11:52Ulf is trapped in the elevator, which isn't moving fast enough to get him back to the main ship in
11:56time. He asks Carla to leave without him, but she initially refuses. At that moment, the self-destruction
12:03is triggered and Achilles' tendon begins to explode in several places simultaneously. Carla has no choice
12:09but to separate the ship. Horrified, she watches as the explosions destroy the main structure,
12:15thinking her friend has died. However, Ulf contacts her again and reveals that he managed to cross the
12:21boundary at the last second. The duo celebrates their survival with a drink, and Ulf explains that
12:26due to the loss of half of Achilles' tendon, the core detonation will have to be done manually.
12:31Carla agrees to the plan and says they'll do it together. When a ship lands on the sphere,
12:35Ulf closes the door behind him and tells Carla to return to Earth to tell everyone the truth.
12:40Carla departs on the ship, finally saying goodbye to Ulf. He waits until the ship is far enough away
12:46and detonates the core, destroying the sphere once and for all. Carla, now alone, travels back to Earth.
12:53The AI informs her that the journey will take seven years.
